Well, not any clues... I found "W grze" mentioned in a search that was related to rally.  I asked a friend that knows polish, and it means "in game" nothing more.  BUT its very interesting that its in polish!  Could that be a clue somehow?
Maybe because im polish too and im using Polish language on steam? xd
Oh....  i need to get intouch with Mr. Obvious and take a course.  :(

And by car movement you mean physics? Can't see how you can look at that video and say it's on par with DR on gravel. It looks like a fun arcade rally game though, as it was.
By car movement I mean car movement. :) I know it's an arcade game.
    Nice sounds for the time.

@JZStudios  DR menu's to long??  Patience, patience :)

  3. I never saw CM3 as beeing intrusive, they were no more than what we have now.

I know i bring ip D2 a lot, after really thinking about it, what appeals to me is how you are put in the middle of the scene where you choose your car, etc..  the trailer was ok, but not needed.  It was just cool that looking at your car then you turn around to do other things.  This is really minor, but just adds to the atmosphere i keep bringing up.

Again D1, D3, and DR were just so cold and bland.  I just felt part of something in D2.  There has to be parts that many liked in D2..  i dont think this would take away from the ability to jump right in quickly, no different than now.

Tbh I don't see the point of car upgrades at all, people who buy WRC's and R5's etc don't receive underpowered cars either from the factory where they bought it from.
Well, privateers' cars are nowhere near as fast as factory ones.
I certainly agree with you, but - there's always but ;)
It's a game and in my humble opinion it would be better to make some kind of progress in different way than current. You can buy 2-3 engineers perks and 3-4 events, 2-4 stages each you've got whole upgraded car. What's that for? It's not tied to career (thankfuly).
Codies need to go one of the ways that are possible:
    1. Full career mode F1 like.
    2. Full arcade mode like now.
    3. Hybrid?

Edit: Of course there comes full load out of other variables that I can't even count right now. But the amount is astonishing. I'm coming to a thought that hardest part of game development is choosing the right path to go with so that most of people from different target-groups are happy.
What about sponsorship?  Its how its driven in RL.

You start out small (and poor) then as you gain your reputation (wins, clean runs - i.e. you don't kill your car to win) you attract sponsors.  Sponsors get cashflow to keep going and upgrade your car, parts then eventually a car.

Maybe you could play for contingency to win a sponsor of your choice, it could be a way of designing your livery a bit.  Several smaller sponsors + a larger sponsor could continue the $$ flow.    This is probably would be a impossible licensing nightmare, but worth throwing out there.   The ultimate achievement could be to get the ORIGIONAL livery for the car.

At times you could be invited to certain events like, hillclimb, your choice but there would be bonuses to do so.  D2 has something like this a bit, and I thought it drove the challenge a bit to move onto other locations.

Like today you have local rallies, or even local series, where you could run for a couple of seasons to build up cash.  This doesn't have to be hugely elaborate maybe series is 2 locations in that country.  Could be kept to 3 countries, UK, AMERICA , maybe Australia/New Zealand (since this area is wanted, and a visit to the area would be more efficient for the trip to gather game assets).

Personally, I'm not real fond of the Mechanics contracts aspect of DR, could be simplified if kept.

2 more things:  the Old CM games had, are custom Driver/CoDriver names on the car.  Also the Door decals with numbers, should have the rally location on them, instead of the generic static one we have now, doesn't have to be official decals (licensing).

I'm not really smart about the programming needed to accomplish this, I'll easily admit ( @urgaffel ) but its just a wish.

is it only me who just wanted to rally without the full trimmings on to skip through?

i actually like how dirt rally is so minimal to get to what i want to do. which is pick location and start. not watch this what that wait then progress.
No, you're not alone there! Perhaps a slightly prettier service area (like the one in CMR 2005) and more refinements in the menu would be nice, but time spent driving through ceremonial starts and the like is time that I would rather spend racing on a stage!
I think there should be fluff in the championship, or at least in the replays, BUT always in the service park.  It would be nice to have some animations when you are pulling up to the stage.  Someone counting down with hand signals, someone checking the Co-Drivers logs.   CMR3 had a nice balance.  I could dig that game up and take a short video.  They were really not that intrusive.  NOT like DiRT2.

DiRT2 had some of the Co-Driver comments that added a little life to them.  The party atmosphere was meh.. but at least set up the theme of where you where, like it or not, you knew you where at an x-games type of event.  I would like it in a serious rally environment.

(old video I did in 2013) Service are looking like this:

    https://youtu.be/sHRhXNMLVTc

I really like the atmosphere it all brings to the game.  It sets the mood.  Much like the different camera angles (good ones at least) in the replays.

  6. After my rallying experience, I started to think what would be cool for the next game to be added in order to get the rally feeling in the game, one thing it is that in the career mode to get more involved, see the car in service park, Cross the launch ceremony,
I have been asking for this for years now!  Some think its a waste of time/money, but there was lots of 'fluff' in D2 and way back in CMR3 had just that.  Also today F1 has all kinds of this stuff.

And pacenotes?  Well as said, just liven them up a little.  Maybe an ouch or groan (like someone hit you in the stomach sound) on a hard landing in Finland.

Also when you roll your car pace notes should fly around a bit, along with whatever else that would be loose, but pace notes would be enough, I think.

I said this a long time ago, DR is absolutely awesome and cutting edge simulation, but the presentation is a bit cold/stale.  It was improved some once the console release happened, with the menu backgrounds.  Still needs more

  7. I had some fun last weekend

    https://youtu.be/9a-ajvxFvpk?list=FLNuu3if3NSIEjJbUH4qoIgg

That was great to see.  I thought you bought it when you waved and closed in on the barrier at 2:40.  From the looks of it, you drive in RL like you do in DR...  and not sure if that is good OR bad ;)

you want atleast a 980ti/1070gtx or 1080 gtx.

tbh going with a 980ti now would be silly unless its cheap as nvidia often make newer driver perform worse as time goes by on old cards.so you upgrade or have to because newer games want newer drivers.

shame as the performance is literally the same between a 980ti and a 1070.
So better to wait a year to upgrade for a faster 10XX card?

  9. I want bring up a comment here that was in the desktop wallpaper thread.  There was a little discussion about the wheels on the Escort MK2.  I guess this is because its modeled off of Colin's car (it is), but here is my suggestion, why not have both the 13in wheel version and the McRae version.  Sure there is more to it than the graphics, but I would like to have some of these lesser variants in the game sometime.  I am sure it comes down the the L word so right now I am just talking our my butt...  Thats quite a site, and I had beans for lunch...

DiRT page on FB published something interesting quoting "Helmet on. Foot down. Game on." with this image... It seems to be as a rendering of the 131 model with Greek location background image..

Looks like @urgaffel got his hands on the lens flare options... unless that was already there and I never noticed.... I also don't drive at night.
Very interesting.. is there any hidden messages?  perhaps the rocks tell us something?  Is there a 4 somewhere or a 2?

    Sorry everybody.

They've clearly gained the world rally, IRC AND BRC licences, along with every Toyota and Citroen. But the main milestone was reaching 25 rally locations, the whole World rx calendar and multiple hill climbs with all the modern and historic cars. And there's ACAT.

And in addition, to make the BRC licence realistic, you can compete in a class al by yourself, then tell everyone how good you are when you win.

    Is that better?
Maybe they just sealed the deal on DiRT Toyota. A Dirt game with just Toyota. All according to forum feedback ;)

never understand why this doesn't work... JUST SKIP TO 24sec mark

oh look some guys got the dev tools.makes me sick tbh.popularity over content.woops dg you spoke your mind again. :D
Oh look, some guy spoke without actually knowing a single thing about the game... Everyone here would like a free camera in DiRT Rally, but that doesn't mean other games are not getting those things and require some dev tools.

I know this may sound like some heresy to people here, but DR for all the things that have been done well, there's almost an exact amount of things that have been done wrong. This includes the ages long bugs, features that have gone missing when compared to previous titles, features that were never implemented or straight out ignored etc. This naturally doesn't mean the other games Devs are so oh great, no, they have their bad sides as well. Just that those bad sides changes depending on the dev team.

As to Slaptrain... he's just a typical example of a YouTuber that gets his subscriber count from people that love a shouting face that is way overhyped and has exaggerated reactions to everything. Not for you know... intellect, skills, charisma etc.
I personally like to call him "Slap face". The similarity he shares with BlackPantha and AR12Gaming is extreme. On the other hand, are there any actual differences between them? xD
I refuse to watch BlackPanthaa based of his name alone. In case you don't know, the Black Panthers are a racist group equally opposite to the KKK.
And the other guys I find to be more annoying than Slap.
Ill never judge anyone by their 'handle' but its an interesting coincidence that all 3 of these names sound THUGish?

    AR12.... (a gun)
BlackPantha ... (as you referenced a hate group)
    Slap ... (Pimps/Wife beaters/etc)

A bit like the wizard of oz, a giant persona with a little man at the controls.
Eh. AR-12 is a Turkish shotgun designed after the M16-AR15. Of which being an American I have no problem with. Not sure if that's what he's going for, but seeing as how he looks and sounds like a 12 year old with a stupid Belieber haircut... I could go both ways. There's plenty of gun channels I watch full of people who aren't thugs.
Literally naming yourself after a racist hate group though.....
I'm also not sure where a Canadian gets off calling himself Slap Train.

I own a couple of guns, no biggie for me, either.  My initial thought in lumping the names together just led me down that path.  Maybe I watch too much news :)  Anyhow sorry for loosing the topic.
