So are they going to finish the game, and then close down all the forums and wipe all the posts like they have before, many times? Then stop all the forum posts, social media posts, response to bug reports, and patches for the game as well like they always do on all the games, like the bug files F1 games?  Is that what is happening here? Is it starting now?

If @KickUp has anything to do with it he will not let that happen.  However may not always be his decision to do so and out of his control, most of us have bosses that don't make the decisions we agree with all the time.

I know people got on a tangent about S2000 cars last time "zero cars" were brought up, but I really think he means safety cars. My guess is live multiplayer stage rally, staggered starts, first car out is a zero car.

I can't think of any other use for zero cars, and would be really surprised if they put S2000 cars in the game, I don't see where they would fit in the timeline.
I doubt this, though it would be interesting,  good theory.  However if staggered starts where implemented, then that would mean a possible break down of each pass on the stage.  Probably not terrain deformation but some sort of graphic clue that the race line has changed and you need to adapt.  It would certainly make the stages a little less memorized.  I am not sure what purpose a safety car would be used for in a game as no one is hurt physically.

    From the DiRT Facebook page...

...so that's two of the three cars in the second rallycross pack confirmed!
Dave Mirra, cough cough, american rally... cough cough... sneaking in.. couuuuuugh  USA :)   not being patriotic, like anyone here, nice to see an your homeland represented  once in a while in DiRT Rally... Thanks again guys

  4. In the prior games we got a couple of versions of the same car, like a trail blazer version (really was a hill climb setup) a gymkhana version (some were really WRC looking cars, I think the Subaru was one).  I've never taken the time to really examin all of this but don't the WRX bodys share a lot with WRC versions?  Small tweaks could be made to the body's to fit proper stage rally versions.

I I know it probably ends up in STUPID license issues as seems to end up with everything in this game (not Codie's fault).  Maybe they have some leeway?

But it this is just Gossip and some wishful thinking.

I'm liking these hints towards the Mitsubishi EVO and Ford Focus WRC. They would be rather special vehicles to take to Finland :)
I'm not convinced. The focus is certainly a memorable car, but an iconic rally car? I'm not so sure...
That too. The quote was 'two legendary cars of two legendary drivers' I believe. I don't know if the Focus would count, but its drivers surely would. Likewise with Loeb and the DS3, Rohl and the Ascona. Might be fixating too much on the wording, but I believe the two cars must have been decided upon before the timeline was written, but I'm annoyed with myself that I can't work it out!

Ok I can't just read all this and hold back speculation too.  Now I am somewhat joking, but in a wee way it makes a little sense.

    Here goes:

iconic drivers.  McRae (almost a given) i mentioned this back over a year ago and read into it by Codie's 'actions' that it is possible McCrae family as time has passed is willing to work with Codie's again.  So HIS Focus would be a natural fit.

Second one. Is maybe for laughs but would iconic/ironic/and special all at the same time.

    Richard Burns and his Subaru.

This would really stick it to all those whiners, sort of.

  6. This may come across as sarcastic or evil or something post but...

After this last feedback Friday, is posting anything in the suggestions box useless now?  It sounds that the game is pretty much locked down at this point.  Yeah I'm bummed about NO chance of America being part of DR, a little part of me died there.

Anyhow, didn't see anyones thoughts, so posting my own.

Looks like a bunch of posts have gone AWOL.
Never looks good when well behaved discussion just vanishes.

Maybe the reason behind Renault licensing problems?
As far as I'm aware, It's never been stated that there are any Renault licensing problems at all.
That's just an assumption from the cars not being in the 0.500 update.
Thing is, we don't know that they were ever meant to be in that update.

The fact they were in an accidentally released internal build doesn't really mean anything, since internal builds can contain any mixture of elements in different stages of implementation.
Codies have had internal builds that include Rally Cross since before Pikes Peak was released (Imagine if one of THOSE had accidentally been released).
Exactly, there are still a few things that I've played that you guys havnt, and might never get to play
    sounds fishy

    Helping fix F1 2015?!

    Is it broken?
It's not in the state it really should be. Performance on the Xbox One version is a bit short of the promised 60fps, typically being around 45/50 in Monaco.
It's pretty well documented that the PC version in-particular isn't up to scratch and a bit of a shonky port with a notable list of issues that has pushed it down into mostly negative reviews on Steam.

By comparison, DiRT Rally has a 92% positive reviews rating on Steam out of 2,900 reviews.
Only 33% of the F1 2015 Steam reviews out of 700 are positive.
So yeah, there's problems there and more than just a vocal minority.
It's not Arkham Knight bad, but that debacle is still very fresh in peoples minds.

I'll admit, I've had it refunded on Steam. The extra development time by 'skipping' 2014 isn't really apparent in the overall package. There's more stuff missing than I expected, including things that actually affects the racing/experience (No more safety car? Really?) and the PC port really should have been delayed rather than released in the state it was
After the lashing Warner Bros just got and Steam now having a refund policy that means the money might not stay in the bank, the old mantra of "ship it - patch it" can't be relied upon any more.
just Dump F1 license all together, and use the DiRT Rally model for all future games.  license the Vehicles and Tracks, do your best on handling and FFB, Early Access and concentrate on something based on the Grid series.  compete directly wit PCars.  Heck add in Gymkahna or something into Grid.

Then work on DiRT Off-road with Stadium Trucks, Baja and maybe Dakar.

I I don't see how you could go wrong.

Proof, if it was needed, of just how good competition brakes are.
Funny how people judge physics and never have driven a rally car.  Not that many of us have, but if we are driving in game a certain way and they are getting too much grip or brakes work too well, maybe they are doing it wrong.
Maybe they think the brakes are too good because they're not going fast enough, hence the shorter stopping distances?
    Exactly!

Oops pardon my French, wrong manufacture, both failures in the US sadly.
I'd suggest neither Peugeot attempt at Pike's Peak was intended to sell cars in the US, they were well aware of the legend that it has in Europe too. They've done an amazing job (in conjunction with Red Bull) to make the 208 T16 PP an instant legend, superb marketing job.

Just so I don't seem like a complete idiot, and maybe I am reading your post wrong.  Both Peugeot and Citroen tried to sell their cars here in 70s and 80s, they were not very successful here for whatever reason, thats all I meant.

I didn't mean anything about Peugeot using Pikes Peak for US marketing, no use anymore.  However it was good marketing for Pikes Peak having Sebastian Leob there.
