    FFB- T300 and Various Wheels

Thanks to everyone that has been helping out with this issue! šŸ™‚ The description pointed out by @YesItsReallyMe identified an issue with the menu screens that appears to be causing the FFB settings to go wrong in some situations. We don't have a fix yet, but were able to follow their steps and replicate the issue here for the first time! We are now doing further tests in the area to help track down what is going on. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to replicate any other issues - we've done comparisons with different versions of the game across GP and online game modes using the Mercedes and have yet to find any differences. @senna94f1 - are you able to confirm what game mode and tracks you were using in your test and then we'll try that out here?
  2. Thanks for all of your help and feedback. Hopefully we've got something that everyone is happier with now. If you spot any other issues, or have any other suggestions to improve this then please let us know.

    FFB- T300 and Various Wheels

@YesItsReallyMe - excellent work! Thanks for this info. We're trying to hunt down what is going on here.
  4. Please keep comments on topic and avoid anything that could be construed as offensive to other members of the community! Thanks.
  5. Yes, you need to complete a race for the game to run the check again.
  6. The changes discussed above should be in the patch that is scheduled for release today on all platforms. This patch will be v1.12 as we skipped v1.11.

    FFB- T300 and Various Wheels

Hi @LILLHELM - did you run the above set of steps on Silverstone to confirm whether this causes the same issue?

    FFB- T300 and Various Wheels

Sorry - I just updated the above steps to use Grand Prix mode as this should give a better match to the online conditions when using a race session in clear weather. Another thing to mention is whether you have the "Understeer Enhance" option enabled or disabled. I would recommend trying with this set to "off" for the moment as this has a tendency to lighten the feeling of the steering when exceeding grip levels.

    FFB- T300 and Various Wheels

Hi All, We've had a couple of our wheel experts looking at this for a while now and we are unable to spot the issue as reported. The only time we saw problems was when our wheel overheated. We did encounter an issue where the wheel rotation was being reset when going to the system menu during an online race and will be looking into a fix for that. To help us track down the issue with FFB being weak in online modes (which seems to be the most reported problem here), please can you try the following test and confirm whether you are seeing the problem in this instance: Launch a Grand Prix session on Silverstone using the Mercedes car and default vehicle setup. Race some laps and see how the force feedback feels Exit Grand Prix and then host a new Unranked session on Silverstone. Set the lobby to be a race only session, 5 laps in length, and set it to use the Multiplayer car. Have someone join the session and then drive some laps to see how the force feedback feel. The above test does not produce issues for us, so I want to confirm whether we are getting different results to you, or whether some other aspect of the game setup is causing problems. Thanks.

    RSB and LSB not working

@pedrosdt - unfortunately not. The buttons themselves don't appear to be recognised by the system, so we can't easily add support for them into the game. The devs are still looking into it though to see if there is an alternative way to add this in.
  11. Hi @iosis, The part of my other reply that was relevant to this topic was this comment: "Skill Rating in Unranked Sessions. As this is a competitive mode, this wouldn’t work in an environment where players could determine the parameters of the competition themselves, e.g. to choose their preferred track or opponents. As such, we aren't considering adding skill ratings into Unranked mode." The team did discuss various options around this, including ways of restricting invites and issues with safety rating. In terms of invites, the system currently isn't able to inspect safety ratings before the invitation is sent, so we'd end up with users being invited to sessions and then failing to join once we check their stats - this would have to include safety rating and skill rating in order to prevent exploits, plus a ping check to make sure these players wouldn't impair the performance of the lobby. After some discussion, the approach that the team wanted to take was to fix any issues with the current safety rating and skill rating system, but keep the general approach where players matchmake anonymously into the best possible session. We have hopefully fixed any issues with A-rated players being in lobbies with D-rated players and have fixes incoming for patch 1.11 which will make the skill system more appealing. We will tell whether these changes are successful following the next update. The point you made about playing with friends and still getting rewards is a valid one, and I will make sure the design team of aware of this perspective when considering future proposals. Thanks, Hoo.
  12. Hi All - I responded to this question in the tech support area (apologies - I'm not usually in the general discussion area). We are not planning to add invites to the Ranked game modes. The thread can be seen here for reference:
  13. @Striker_703 - do you have the video available? It would be very helpful for us to see what steps you took before the sound stopped working.

    F1 2019 Xbox Game Freezes

Hi @LBROWNE97, This is a bit of a puzzle as there aren't many things that cause those sorts of symptoms. Possible things to consider: Are you streaming, or using any other apps on the Xbox at the same time that could be consuming network traffic or system resources? Is your Xbox overheating?

    Error 1008:H Master thread

Hi, We had a scheduled maintenance period this morning where our online services were unavailable for a short period. These should all be up and running again now. Thanks.
  16. Sorry for the spam - I've just merged in another thread which seems to cover the same issue.

  18. @klebmuymadrid - it looks like you were doing a series of practice sessions at Monza in the 2003 Williams car. Can you remember at what point the issue occurred?
  19. @RickFlare96 - I as checking your session history using the report code that you provided and noticed that you started many different sessions, including playing some career and F2 races. Can you remember at what point during this process that the audio error occurred?

Thanks for the video @navarreitor. I've passed this onto the test team to get it checked out.

    Error Sp163 on Multiplayer - PS4

When the game launches, it will try to bind (use) specific network sockets to use for its network traffic. If there are any changes to the network after booting the console then this can sometimes cause the specific network sockets that the game requires to become unavailable. The system may still be connected to the internet and other apps may still work fine, but the game will not be able to connect properly. There are several possible causes for this, so it's hard to know exactly what is happening in your case. Here are some examples: Leaving the game in suspended state for long periods. Internet connection dropping and reconnecting Switching between cabled and wifi connection Removing ethernet cable Disabling and enabling internet connection through the console's system software Short lease times on your router causing IP addresses to change or renew whilst the console is active Assuming that you have no obvious faults with your hardware, I would recommend a hard reboot / power cycle of both your network hardware and your console, ensuring that the router is fully powered up before turning your console back on. If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection. Then try booting directly into the game without using any other apps first and see if this works. If not, then you may need to inspect your router logs to see if any unexpected changes in IP address or firewall rules were occurring.
  22. Ok, I can't tell if your saves are all becoming corrupt after your write to them, or whether there is still a corrupt save file lingering on your system. Can you try cleaning up the saves as described in my original post? Please note that saves will be stored in the following locations: If Steam cloud enabled: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<userid>\928600\remote If Steam cloud disabled: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<userid>\928600\local\savegame When deleting your local saves, ensure that you remove these from both the "remote" and "local" folders before rebooting in offline mode.
  23. If the game is already identifying the saves as corrupt then this should all work fine - the above workaround is just for when the save is corrupt but not detected as being corrupt. Just follow the in-game message to create a new saved game. Alternatively, once you are at the main menu you can enter the "Game Options" menu at the bottom of the screen and select the "Delete All Save Data" option to wipe your save and start again.

    RSB and LSB not working

Hi, I've put the request to the dev team and will let you know what they come back with. Thanks.
  25. If you could get a video that would be really helpful. We haven't managed to get this issue in the studio, but if we could see exactly what you are doing when the sound goes that may help us track down the problem. Thanks.
