    F1 2015 No Career mode??

Maybe they've delayed it to add a basic career mode, having seen the negative reaction? One can hope. There would be no shame in delaying it further to add more to it, as I've said before. Scrape together a career mode, which should not be difficult as they've been copy and pasting it since 2011. Add some small things to it and bam, tons more people suddenly interested. Then, if they get time, scrape together some kind of online mode that will keep people playing. Sprint races are cool for a while, but there is no sense of progression...And ultimately, progression is something that people look for in a game, it is just human mentality. You see a clear goal being achieved, and then you see the next one to go and achieve, you do that one then on to the next one etc.  With sprint races, you play a few times, realise that nobody cares how many penalties they get for ramming because there is no consequence in the long run and then you just get really bored with it once you then see that there is nothing to aim for. I think this has been one of  main issues of most the F1 games they've released. Just no progression online... I mean just take a leaf out of FIFA Pro clubs for example, you have your player, you see his stats, you can level him up. You see his finishing improve, you can feel his pace improve. You can unlock different traits (Ability to to diving headers) and aesthetics (Higher socks, untucked shirt) for him.  Went for a bit of an online tangent there...Same applies for the career mode though, let us see the overall of our driver and other drivers, let us see individual stats progressing. Let us add traits, unlock celebrations on the podium, different gloves even. This license has so much potential but it never get used. CM really need to get the full use of it and create an awesome game... I mean Moto GP games allow you to choose the way your rider looks when cornering, like a more traditional leaning style or hanging off the bike.

Exactly. I don't think it would really be possible. How could we take 1 month or so out of the football calendar in Europe? It would disrupt leagues, cups, European competitions...I just don't see how it would work personally...Maybe the season would have to end in June, but then that might disrupt other things.. Also, it could mean that some players end up away from families at Christmas, because although it is due to end on something like the 23rd December, Christmas travel is not exactly reliable is it?

If Russia lose it then I think it's goes to USA as they came second, or was that for the next one? That was Qatar. Everyone who ended up voting for Russia 2018 actually told Prince William, David Cameron and Beckham they would vote for England. Last minute bribes or just lying?

Ah, second biggest. Which is bigger? Nou Camp maybe?  I don't see it either, which sucks since they bribed their way too it. Plus, look at what is going on with Russia right now...I was torn between USA and Australia though. USA came second in the votes and they've actually done something good for the football world this week.

The thing is though, it is not to late to change location. And if Russia gets it (through unfair means might I add), England or indeed Europe in general, cannot get it again until 2030...2022 and 2026 must be somewhere other than Europe. And that is only the earliest it could get it again, it could easily go back to south America in 2030 and it's just crazy.  I'm 18 right now, I'd be 33 the next time Europe can hold it if we don't get 2018...And we haven't held it since '66. FIFA just hates England I guess. We've got a better case than almost anyone to hold it then, we've got the history, the stadiums, the infrastructure and the support. Wembley is the biggest stadium in Europe, or is at least one of the biggest.

Hopefully. Then we just need to give 2018 to England and all is right. Oh and USA gets 2022.

yeah but unless they get the chance to play though how can they shine that's the problem and show what they can do. There may be more to it but that's where for me the root of the problems are. They're not going to get the support they need if they can't get in their clubs first teams Good players generally get into the first team. There's good players coming through the leagues and through clubs own youth academies, but compared to Spain, Germany, France, etc, they're pretty average. Its such an easy excuse to blame foreign owners and players when there's clearly a huge problem with grassroots football. We need to start at the bottom to fix the problem. U11's playing on full sized pitches with full size goals, how is that productive or going to teach kids good technique? It just results in the bigger, stronger kids who can kick the ball harder being the focus of teams. English coaches are behind so many other countries, they just don't have a clue. The FA don't have the power, ability or guts to actually make any strong changes; its all just words. The Premier League is too rich and powerful. Basically, unless England get lucky we're not going to win a major tournament. We're hanging on to the top teams in world but we're never going to overtake them if we don't make drastic changes to coaching, grassroots and youth football in England. But yeah, its the fault of Johnny Foreigner that we're bad. Again, this is all true. Futsal is what we need more of. Small 5 a side teams on small pitches with small goals...If we do that, we will produce those Messi, Iniesta, Xavi players. If we stuck a bunch of English kids in Spain, they'd have a far better chance of becoming great...

Exactly this. 100%. I mean look what we did with Scholes and now Carrick. Both fantastic players to run games, and both overlooked in favour of Gerrard or Lampard...

John Terry is a disgrace to the national side and shouldn't ever be allowed back in it. Lets not forget that Cole is also a terrible person. Gerrard punched someone at bar. Numerous other people have done some stupid things. Terry is one of the greatest English players ever, and we don't even use him...

I know a lot of people like to say Carrick is not that good (For some reason that is beyond me), but we've missed a huge trick by not playing him. Just look at his effect on Man United, he turns an average looking side into a team that can destroy Liverpool and Man City...Carrick, Henderson and Barkley would be a quality midfield. Front 3 of Sterling (maybe), Rooney and Welbeck could be good too.  Plus we need to try and get Terry back in the team IMO.

When did you decide not to care about England anymore out of interest?  They really do annoy me most of the time, but personally, I can't not like them.  Probably 3 or 4 years ago. I just stopped caring. Its been the same old stuff for the past 20 years, just not worth investing time in. Coverage on ITV obviously doesn't help, but the management and FA need a drastic change if anything good is to happen. Yeah you make a good point. I think since 1996 Euros or maybe 2002 WC, we've been poor...It annoys me that Hodgson is in charge for 2016. I get the feeling it will be yet another tournament wasted with a poor manager... I can see why people lose interest. We had a team with Cole, Ferdinand, Terry, Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Rooney and Owen and we won nothing...I just don't get it. If you'd given that team to Fergie, we'd have dominated...even Greece has won something recently...And we have nothing since 1966.

I know it is emotional sometimes :L  But I really would love to see England win the WC again. Like more than anything else in football right now. I've seen United win a UCL, a league and league cup. All I want to see now is an FA Cup for United to complete the set :p and of course, for England to win the WC and heck, even the euros would make me go crazy. Just anything pls England... I really should go to the Euros next year in France to watch England. Would be such a great experience, especially since it could be 2030 until we get the World Cup in England.

I support United because it was the first team I saw on TV, i was like 8 and I'd never seen it before...And my granddad likes them too. But no one else in my family likes football...So yeah... Don't support Norwich City, but I do follow their results. They don't get broadcast much and no one ever took me to their games, so that is basically why I never grew up supporting them... It is difficult when you love football, but no one else in your family, that could take you, does.

    Announcing F1 2015

I wouldn't say FIFA is a good sports, it just appeals to a larger audience. The game itself is incredibly arcadey and completely glances over things like formations, midfield control, playing styles, etc. It's end-to-end stuff and fun, that's why so many people play it, not because of its depth.  EA, as obnoxious company they are, if they pull their resources they can actually make decent games. However, this hardly ever happens. Their UFC games it miles behind Yuke/THQ's, Madden sucks, NBA Live 15 is not qualified to shine NBA 2k15's shoes, etc. EA won't be my preferred choice for developer of F1 2015, not by a long stretch. Sure, it is not totally realistic, but then neither is F1. But the career mode is fairly deep, you can actually transfer players, play every match in every competition, you can now manage a national team in World cups and Euros/other continental cups. You can scout for 16 year old stars etc.  Oh and you can also play an individual player (Of your choosing or your own player you've made - like F1). At the end of the day, FIFA got the basic formula right, and then built on it. Career mode kept people buying it for years before online was a thing. First thing's first, CM need to make sure Career mode is brilliant, then people will buy it. This would include doing stuff like drivers transferring and maybe even retiring (Meaning career mode would need 15 odd seasons, like FIFA does or at least it is around that number). Custom numbers for the player and other F1 related things. Obviously this would be costly, but they need to sit down the teams and FOM and explain all of this to them, take FIFA as an example of what can be done when rights holders allow more depth. They HAVE to convince them, otherwise it will always be a stale mode. Either that or they need to come up with some great ideas that don't need the a fore mentioned things.  Maybe it is time CM made a mode where you can actually manage the team more, choose which parts to develop, hire and fire staff/drivers etc. This would be a fantastic mode. And you'd get to play the races too, they'd have to figure it out. Maybe you drive each driver (in your team) in alternating races? Like one race you are Vettel, next your Kimi etc.  They can also keep the "Be a driver" mode. And yeah, EA are a terrible company a lot of the time. But they do give us solid FIFA installments, and as a long as they keep doing that, I'll buy them. I really want CM to succeed but they keep doing things which I just don't understand, and many of you don't either.

    Announcing F1 2015

I know EAis far richer and larger, but they seem to consistently produce good sports games year in, year out. As I've said, CM needs to get the core of the game perfect, then branch out. If they perfect the core, it will only need minor additions each year. Thus far they have not improved that core. They just add new modes which are then dropped. literally all 2010 to 2012/2013 should have been about was perfecting Career and a good MP mode.  FIFA has a solid online and career mode that have been perfected over a number of years. Career mode has been awesome for years, only recently has it needed updating desperately. They haven't really changed too much since 2008ish. Because they made something that holds the interest and is high quality. It was not half arsed and "good enough". Which is how the current F1 career mode feels. And of course this allowed them to branch out to Ultimate team, which is now a huge money generator. CM need to do this.
