Damn, that's not great!

How long have you had it for then? I've had 2 Logitech wheels (DFGT and G29) and haven't ever had an issue! Sold the DFGT after about 5 years, had my G29 about 2.5 years now :)

Don't think it's a penalty. Verstappen was alongside and he did attempt to actually make the corner unlike Rosberg a few years ago. If there was a wall on the exit, Leclerc would have conceded earlier. Anyway he shouldn't have left the door open, that was an amatuer mistake. Everyone knows Max will go for a gap if it's there so why leave him the inside? You cover that inside line and he cant push you off... A good example of where this is illegal would be Rosberg vs Max at Hockenheim. He didn't even bother turning in. Just straightlined the hairpin. Rosberg that is.

Does anyone here play iGP Manager and would anyone be interested in a Codemasters League? We'd start with brand new teams and everything btw...

Thought I'd just make the thread now, since I'm sure a few of you will be watching. Medals: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/commonwealth-games/2014/medals/countries England winning right now :) Might see us win something this summer
-
Agree completely about taking those first half chances, we were always going to concede, it was just a matter of when and even after we conceded we didn't look the more likely to go on and win. I know most people will be saying about how proud they are, (and that's fine because I'm proud of the team as well) but I can't help but feel that might have been the best chance we will get to see a final involving England for a long, long time. If you look back at our previous games in world cups where we have been knocked out it has always been against "big teams", Croatia are a good side but not quite Germany or Argentina. Worst part is we were only 23 minutes away from the final, just devastating. That and the first half was really quite good, so it's such a shame how the rest went...
-
Crazy how this World Cup has gone, never been a better chance to get to a final! It seems as if everyone is getting involved and supporting the team in a way I've not seen before myself. Really hope we can make that final, the Croatia game will be very tight and I can see them dominating the midfield with Brozovic, Rakatic and Modric. The set pieces have been incredibly well done by Gareth and his staff. Imagine if we hadn't worked so hard on them, we'd probably have struggled quite a bit due to our failure to convert a lot of chances from open play. That's my one concern about the next game and possible final really, the fact that we have barely scored from open play. But in a one off match it only takes 1 clear chance being converted to win so there's always a chance :D If we can continue to evolve and improve, I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do in Euro 2020 and WC 2022, the team will only be getting better and more experienced from here, for the most part. Need to find a younger version of Henderson though, he has surprisingly been one of our most indispensable players and he's 28, may not be quite as good in 2022. Also when I say about evolving and improving, that goes for Gareth as well, I think he made an error against Colombia by replacing Alli with Dier and sitting back for example, and again against Tunisia by not replacing an injured Alli until too late. But on the whole he's done a brilliant job. Thought for ages we needed an identity and system and finally we have something, and a man who is prepared to do something a bit different to the other recent England managers going with a 3 at the back and ditching the old has been's like Rooney and Hart. Honestly England in tournament football without Rooney is so refreshing...

I used to love Mario 64, but I don't think the Switch has enough 3rd party games (even then, would they have a big playerbase?) to justify the purchase. I'd play Mario Kart and probably pick up Mario Odyssey, but this is the issue I had with the Wii U, just not enough games or there is 3rd party games I own - I already own Skyrim (about 3 or 4 times over) and Rocket League for example. I'd love to actually know if a big game like CoD WW2 came out on Switch exactly what size the player base is.

Probably for the best you're not interested in it, can't see EA changing much between now and launch in terms of the multiplayer. Really disappointing what they've done with the multiplayer considering how much potential there is there :( It's pretty much the reason I would have bought it...
-
Battlefront II looks so great visually, and the campaign stuff is no doubt going to be good but the whole loot box stuff in multiplayer is just awful, are you getting it on launch sj?
-
The weather is horrible IMO, cannot stand this heat. 29 ffs

Yeah that's right, that's why I found it weird :p The only reason I can think of was that I was trying out a VPN and after it installed, it changed. I have since removed the VPN but this stayed. It removed the default TAP drivers and replaced them with their own. I of course deleted those TAP drivers when I removed the VPN. As you said though, its probably nothing to worry about but you know what its like when something changes on your PC and you just don't get why, even if it doesn't matter, it bugs you ;)

Just reviving an old thread here quickly. Why would my PC be telling me on the internet icon in the bottom right of the screen that I'm connected to "Realtek PCIe GBE" rather than my BT Hub? The internet still works its just weird, I'd quite like to fix it if possible but Google hasn't helped much :/

Happened to me at Monaco. I started on the hardest compound with the idea of running Ultra soft last stint. Then with two laps to go, I get that message about tyre compounds. I was so mad as much of the AI did the same as me but the opposite way round. Hugely unfair as I was on for a podium.

Ive got to buy a few things, FIFA, MW Remastered and Civilization VI. I'll probably get BF1 at Christmas on offer or something. Second half of the year is always expensive :(

I do agree that it's not much of a WW1 game, Verdun is far better at being a realistic WW1 game. But I do appreciate the new setting nonetheless. I thought the voice over was bad too, I turned it off. Cool that they used the WW1 British Naval phonetic alphabet, but it is strange that they go to such lengths to make that realistic and then give everyone automatic weapons. Shame that they've picked WW1 and sort of half arsed it. It's a decent game but they should have gone all in with WW1 like Verdun did.
-
What do you guys think of the Battlefield 1 beta? I think it's decent, feels as you'd expect for a Battlefield game. I don't like that the basic guns are automatic though, sort of breaks the WW1 feeling for me. Really they should be higher level weapons. Hope we can customise the look of our soldier too. Not a huge fan of the map in the beta either, but that's really not a massive issue. They should have included another map with France vs Germany or something.

Hmm, must have been another dodgy Pirelli tyre then :p
-
So apparently if your tyre gets to 70% wear you get a puncture. I learnt that in Bahrain today, it would have been a really interesting race too, since the SC had just come out. Luckily it happened on the back straight, but I lost multiple positions and then under the SC Perez was going too slowly catching up, I hit him and lost too much of my wing to stay out :L Race didn't end too well... Game is really fun though, might be their best ever F1 game tbh.

Call of Duty has a lot of replayability to be fair, although I can't speak for No Mans Sky as I've not played it. I have seen a lot of mixed things, some people, like yourself, are loving it and others are finding it to be quite boring after a few hours. So it really doesn't make me want to buy it for full price, especially since I wasted £50 on Destiny after buying into hype...
-
I feel the exact opposite. The first few hours were enjoyable, but now after only 12 hours, I can hardly be bothered to boot up the game. Every planet features the exact same things to discover. A few buildings, a few monoliths, a few weird animals. And some planets are just dead, and not worth to visit at all. You gather resources to traverse to a different system, only for you to gather some more resources so you can travel to the next system. Learning languages is tiresome and ultimately does not seem to pay off. Sure, it features a massive playground, but there is no depth to it whatsoever. It feels like a massive tech demo, but not a full fledged game. Not yet at least. Would the term as large as an ocean but as deep as a puddle apply here then?

The parts for this: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=DIY_USB_adapter_for_dummies And it works too, just need to try out my DFGT in Project CARS (Either need to buy it for £15 or borrow it) now to check the FFB. **** you, Logitech. The best "cheap" wheel I could find was a thrustmaster one for £120, thrustmaster wheels have been poor in the past for me (I've had 2 break on me in the past after around a year or so), and the DFGT is better and cost me £90 back in 2011. No way I'm paying for a new one that's worse and that expensive, I'm not made of money. Very happy with this purchase, providing the FFB works, which it should based on videos I've seen.

I won Grid Autosport for PC some time ago now (You donated £20 to cancer research, and got entered to a prize draw, figured it was worth entering, even if I don't win it doesn't matter) and I was really surprised by how good it was, the AI are pretty feisty which I always like. CM have done some really solid racing games, which is why it annoys me so much when they release middling F1 titles. Thankfully 2016 is going to be incredible.
-
Either 46 or 87. I'd rather have 11 but that damn Perez already has it :p What team is everyone going for? Reckon I'm gonna start with McLaren. I'm starting with Renault - should be a challenge to win the title with them. Also, probably going to use 82 but I haven't really made my mind up fully. Can't wait til Massa retires and 19 is free. 97 will probably be quite common so I wont be using that, maybe 66?

I've raced without aids for a little while now, probably since I did league racing way back in 2011. The issue for me having just jumped back into it is being consistent. Right now I am capable of setting competitive laps against pro AI (It's with a mod, so i think its expert - the one below legend without the mod) but I make too many little errors right now. I'm driving a Toro Rosso to be fair though, and its not a good car in 2012. I was quite proud of my podium (3rd) in China in changing conditions. Probably one of the best races I've ever done. The weird thing for me was I've raced on Forza and other games without most aids for ages, but I could just never get along with the F1 games without certain aids because the games just felt wrong. Particularly F1 2013. But since F1 2014 the physics have just started feeling better and it's more like I can actually feel and see how the car reacts to my inputs and that's made it better when I've turned the aids off, and made it easier to be consistent each lap :) I'm currently racing as Vettel on 2015's career mode, last race was Sochi, I won with a 19 second lead over Hamilton with the game set to it's hardest possible, no aids, cockpit view, legend AI, a mod that cranks up damage sensitivity, and another mod that reduces grip by 50% (I think) when you run off circuit. Problem is that every race is like that :p I don't have the motivation to league race any more so I'm super hoping the Ultimate AI really are ultimate lol. I mainly stopped using aids purely for the league racing I was doing at the time, I actually found the F1 games were fine without the aids compared to say Gran Turismo or Project CARs now. I always play racing games without aids now. I don't know what it is about 2012 now, it feels so unstable with a Toro Rosso - might just be the set up, don't know though. I hate situations like that, its absolutely no fun demolishing AI every race. Why don't you league race? I always thought it was the best part of F1 2011 for me. The league I was in actually wanted to ban aids for the last season I was gonna do with them, but there was still like half the guys on the grid who used auto gears so it wasn't really something that could be done without putting half the grid at a disadvantage. For me though bud, it all depends on the game. There's some that just feel awful without aids, and some that feel so so much better :) It really isn't dude, I'm hoping ultimate are at least on or close to my pace, but I'll still race it either way :p I loved league racing for a while, but I was doing it on Xbox 360 and having to use a game capture thing which 75% of the time was fine, and 25% of the time would corrupt footage lol. I started getting into PC gaming after a while though and the guys in the league were all going for Xbox One, but I never joined a PC league because I couldn't imagine racing anybody but the guys in that league. Also I race with a pad, it's embarrassing to admit that even though I could probably beat a lot of wheel guys ;) Also I'm lazy now lol. League racing is easily the best form of online racing though, I'd more than happily recommend anybody who's interested to just go for it :) I could never use a pad, I'm absolutely useless with one now :p And yeah I'd recommend it to anyone, I might well join one for 2016 - I'll have to see though.
