I'd scream like a small child if one of those Huntsman spiders appeared in my room -
*How goodPeteTheDuck said:Predictions for the weekend
- Someone will go off at Parabolica and will return to the track with no issues, meaning I will be upset
- A Mercedes powered car will be on pole
- Bottas podium
- Arguments about how bad Vettel is, and Rosberg v Hamilton, involving the usual suspects -
If RvP does have that knee surgery, Falcao will be needed for this season 100%. -
I hope we sign one more player personally. -
Apparently we've got Falcao on loan for 1 year then the option to buy next year...
This is all well and good, but we need a top CDM or CB right now...Blind is a decent CDM or CB so it is up to the board really. I'd rather have Hummels then Falcao... -
You cannot deny how lucky (At the same time good, no denying) his wins have been.
Montreal: Both Mercedes have an issue, one retires.
Hungary: Rosberg, Vettel, Alonso, Bottas all get unlucky with the SC, making it easier to win.
Belgium: Mercedes hit each other, does well to hold on at the end
You cannot deny the luck involved, but I fully admit that he had the skill to maximise the chance he was given. He was in the right position to capitalise on the mistakes/failures.
If it was Vettel winning all 3, you'd say it was luck. -

I really hope he proves some of the "experts" wrong next season. -
That isn't really a very good point to make. All 3 of his wins have been down to luck, as well as he did do, he relied on Merc messing things up.
Even if he wins two down to luck at the end of the season (Vettel not Ricciardo) then it wont be two convincing wins, which is probably what he wants. -
Welbeck can't play at the top level, I point to the Bayern game at OT last year as evidence when he tried to chip one of the best keepers ever. We might have won if he'd scored that, they are the chances that have to go in.
Chances like that in games like that have to go in, he isn't top level and he has done it time and time again. If he wasn't a striker, his work rate and pace could be used elsewhere but he would be unhappy. I think he'd make a better wing back than Young right now tbh while Shaw is out, he has strength, pace and the workrate for it. But he can't finish well enough.
Hernandez looks like his confidence is ruined, shame, because I really liked him as a player, great poacher. But he is a poor mans Solskjaer and he doesn't like being benched. -

Yeah we need a striker maybe another defender but otherwise I think we're OK we just had a bad day today game wise. There was suggestions we might sign Welbeck or Hernandez from Man U don't know how true that is though but we do need a new striker or at least someone capable of scoring regularly at least anyway. Ideally a pacey strikerfIsince08 said:
OH MY GOD!!! We need 3 players, that's just made me panic!sjsharp2010 said:
yeah we were bad today we deserved to lose that one tbh. I think wewill get better but like with any club that has a new manager you've got to give them a little time to sort things out hopefully we'll bring in 1 or 2 new faces before the window shuts tomorrow night.Platy said:Tottenham don't have a clue. Sad to see Kagawa go, he did get his chances but I don't think he ever got an extended run in the team in his no.10 role to really prove himself. I'm glad that a player of his quality will be getting some game time though, such a waste on our bench..
Dortmund got him back for £6 Million, that is one of the buys of the summer in my opinion considering Cleverley is £8 Million.
I'd say Kagawa could easily have gone for £15 Million... -
Di Maria > Sanchez -
We need a good CDM to partner either Herrera, Blind or Di Maria depending on the line up. Need to sure up defence a bit, either put Blind or Rojo there with Jones or buy a CB.
Once we change to a 4 at the back or learn 3-5-2, we'll be fine. Remember, Shaw, Rojo, Smalling, Herrera and Carrick are all injured
IMO, this is our best team:
_____________De Gea_____________
_____Smalling__Jones__Rojo________
_Di Maria__Blind___Herrera__Januzaj_
______________Mata_______________
_________Rooney__RvP_____________
Once that team is fit and learns how to play 3-5-2, I'm confident we can get top 4. Plus we'll still get 1 more play I reckon.
Also, fun fact I heard on the commentary: United didn't win in the first 3 games in 2007 and were still crowned champions -
3-5-2 wont work, two injury scares for Di Maria and Mata. So many injuries...So many buses in Burnley -
That has been over a period of years. We did also sell Ronaldo for 80 Million so that is almost quarter of that figure that is easily justifiable.
Plus, United make that kind of money, they can by the rules set out, spend that money "fairly".
Just made some really poor buys, and United always get charged more, because clubs know we have the money and will pay it. Anderson was £27 Million alone. This is the issue with splashing out on young promise, I can honestly see (or wouldn't be surprised) if Luke Shaw went in a similar direction.
@EdMa - We have addressed some issues, we've bought 1 CM, 1 LB, 1 CB and a Winger and we needed them all, but we still need more, that is the issue. If I'm honest, over the next 3 years we need 3 or 4 CM's, 3 CB's, a striker and a RB. None of our CM's are good enough (except Herrera, who we haven't seen enough of), none of our CB's inspire any confidence (Except Jones, who is decent and Rojo who we haven't seen enough of) and RvP is getting old and needs replacing soon. -
F1 2014 is just a place holder for 2015 to keep people happy and get in some extra cash from the previous Gen and PC guys. Nothing more, 2015 is the game I'm looking forward too. -
The difference between the V8 and V6 sound is huge, can't imagine how much louder V10's were. -
I think they'll stay, why would you leave Mercedes now? Like GoldenColt said, Vettel-Webber worked for 3 more years after their initial clashes in 2010, they became one of the most successful partnerships in F1. Mercedes wont force either one out, and I doubt either one will leave. If Lewis leaves, he is throwing away a 2nd/3rd title. -
I wouldn't throw water over my head if I was nominated, I'd like to know how many people have done it and actually donated, because I'm willing to bet that a fair few haven't donated anything.
Not doing doesn't make you a bad person, you can just donate. A lot of people are doing it because it is the trend right now to do it, it is the cool thing to do. -
Chelsea make a fair amount, I wouldn't like to speculate how much. How much have they spent this summer?Jiggy said:AMS97KRR said:Except Man United make that kind of money, so they can afford to spend it. Chelsea and City take their money from billionaires.
Goddamn quote system..
Chelsea are also making money now. Even though I hate them and think they represent and kickstarted everything that's wrong in football today, you cannot claim they don't make the money they spent anymore.
-
The issue was too many kids who don't know the system. There was no chemistry between some of the more senior and young players. -
I don't care too much about Madrid or Barca's spending, they make the money, they can spend it.
It isn't Man Uniteds debt, it is the Glazers debt. It isn't really relevant anyway, it isn't an issue right now (Although I don't like the fact that we are in debt).
Look at the USA as an example, they are over $10 Trillion in debt, yet they continue to spend and function and are one of the richest countries on Earth.
Man United could pay off the debt, but why should United use the clubs money to pay the owners debt?

Except Man United make that kind of money, so they can afford to spend it. Chelsea and City take their money from billionaires.
