The Gadget Show were tagged in one of the tweets, I wonder how they're involved? I'm assuming its a comparison of real world rally driving compared to the DR2 physics first hand?

The menu screens look somewhat cleaner than D4 from these shots, I hope that translates to the rest as the Main Menu was a nightmare to remember where everything was. It was just...odd

Forza's livery system is so dope, I wish other games had it down as well as that. I want to see a proper livery creation system as well as handling sharing but done the way of Dirt Rally with the Steam Workshop, the way D4 did it was very restrictive as you could only share with friends. I imagine it was a console limitation and was translated to PC whereas DR was PC first so had the workshop first.

I didn't finish the first one but I came to it really late, only got a PS3 when GTA V came out. Held off on this one for the moment but will probably get it in a couple of weeks. Hoping for a Westworld easter egg lol

Yes, but licences. We won't see BeamNG levels of damage for a long time unless manufacturers will take the pole out of their arse. That along with the extra hardware power needed for that kind of deformation and particle physics. BeamNG is a bit of a powerhouse to run smoothly because there is so much going on. The driving physics are also pretty basic compared to something like DR.

R2 class is a lot more popular than R3. Also no such thing as BRZ R3 exists because the Toyota GT86 CS-R3 is the only car classified to R3 class from the FR-S/BRZ/GT86 lineup and we all know how the relationship between Toyota and Codemasters is. It's not just Codemasters, Toyota doesn't want to see their cars in racing games anymore. They just make an exception for Gran Turismo because Polyphony Digital is Japanese. Milestone must have an agreement with them, as the Celica GT4 and GT86 appeared in both Seb Loeb Rally Evo and Gravel. And Kunos for Assetto Corsa And SMS for Project CARS 1 and 2 And Polyphony Digital with GT Sport. It is literally only Codemasters they won't work with based on a falling out a long time ago which doesn't seem to have been resolved and looks like it never will be.

After learning more about the R-GT class, I am really excided to try them! I imagine the Fiestra will be back as well, there's a Ford for pretty much every era so far in the previous games.

So I work for an engineering company and I had a guy call from Belgium who I speak to every once in a while. We got chatting about the weather and he mentioned it would have been great to go to the RAC Wales Rally last weekend and I asked if he was a fan. He then said he actually races them in Belgium as part of a small team called De Max Racing. He then made me insanely jealous by saying he will be testing a Fiestra R5 in November thanks to his sponsor. My jaw dropped and I was incredibly envious. This guy whom I've never known to be into this stuff actually drives this stuff and is testing one of my dream cars.  :#

I fired up D4 for some MP RX last night and gave the daily a bash for once. It was in Australia with the STI NR4 and that has always been one of the better cars in the game for me. There are some really nice aspects of the handling like the way the car behaves in a camber and using the brake to initate a slide and the Australia stages are often pretty good and reasonably varied but yes there are the problems we all encountered like the grip when midway through a corner and how difficult it is to get the car sideways.

Yeah. Stages were incredibly rough. Penmachno absolutely destroyed the car, collapsed front suspension and damaged gearbox or diff. Then we hit a huge rock two corners into slate mountain which put the nail in the coffin by breaking the steering arm. Even if we had made it through I don’t think we could have restarted. Pretty **** day. There was a nasty accident in Brenig and we got stopped by a red flag halfway through. Heading to dyfnant tomorrow to go watch That sucks man, I hope you manage to repair everything. Out of interest, how many times have things been repaired on that car and it still runs? Having never competed I don't know how much these cars go through.

Not sure if the camera angle affects this but the steering column seems very short from the dash to the steering wheel compared to Fiesta R5 for example. https://twitter.com/volkswagenms/status/1048137710601478149?s=09 "Check out his arse"  ;)

I got engaged last week and I may now have to fight to have this as our cake. grats. you can do it :D He can definitely fight for it, there's no guarantee he'll win. Or that there will still be an engagement after so, you know, pick you battles VERY carefully ;) Oh there's every guarantee I'll loose, I already want a classic muscle car as the wedding car  :D
