  1. People said Webber/Vettel wouldn't work after Turkey 2010, worked 3 more years.
Apart from that, Mercedes are keen on keeping Lewis for obvious reasons (his pace, his marketing-value, etc.). People talking Lewis out of Mercedes are doing it for two reasons: Either they want their favourite driver to join a team which might dominate F1 for the next few years, or they simply want Lewis out of a team which might dominate F1 for the next few years.
Sorry to crush your hopes, but Lewis leaving Mercedes before or even after 2015 isn't going to happen.

  2. Because Hamilton has yet again put him in a position where Rosberg either decides to crash or get out of the way. The point Rosberg was trying to make in Spa was that people shouldn't get out of your way just because you're Lewis Hamilton.

And to prove his point he cost the team valuable points, himself a chance to win the race and he has lost a lot of sympathy within the team and with a lot of fans. Very cerebral I have to say.

    JB's take on the incident...

    Massa agrees

    (From Autosport)

“Maybe Nico created a problem for the other guy and maybe he should have been penalised. He was outside, so when he touched the car he was in a position where it was impossible to overtake.”

Wow, and I thought the day Massa is on Hamilton's side will be the day when hell freezes. I was wrong.

Okay, bit of a change of topic for anyone bored of Mercedes. Does anyone else think yesterday shows Red Bull have been shooting themselves in the foot for the whole of the season by always running with maximum downforce? The race showed they can run by far the slimmest rear wing on the grid and still be fine in the high speed stuff and obviously enjoy much better straight line speed for when they are racing in a pack.

I mean okay, it may mean they sacrifice a little bit of overall speed in qualifying. But as they are always starting around the 3rd-6th place zone surely it's a lot more astute setup to go for.

*Cough* This new approach has really only worked out for one of their drivers so far. *cough*
