PJTierney replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
Version 1.16 September 28, 2020 Content: New car: Ford Fiesta R5 MKII Note: Car is available to all players in modes outside of My Team. To unlock the car for use in My Team, take part in a DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series Qualifier and you'll get it when the Event Week ends. Cars: Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 - Updated engine audio based on new recordings of real-world car. Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images. Ford Escort MK2 - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images. Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images. FIA World Rallycross Championship: Removed AI driver names which were mistakenly appearing when using 2019-spec cars. Colin McRae Scenarios: Resolved issue where Used tyres were displaying as New in Service Areas. Miscellaneous: Added ability to select Paraguay as a driver nationality. Made various minor (not notable) bugfixes across the game. This is currently the final update planned for DiRT Rally 2.0. The Ford Fiesta R5 MKII will be unlocked for all players to purchase in My Team Garage menu in early 2021, however this does not require a game update. -
DiRT Rally 2.0 is a title that is constantly evolving based on your feedback and how people play the game. This thread is an archive of our Patch Notes, so you can see what's been added over time. Follow This thread to be notified of future updates. General Update Information: Every few weeks the game is updated with new content, as well as several bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Updates are simultaneous releases across all platforms. Updates typically happen between 10.00 and 12.00 GMT. While an update is in progress players may experience a drop in connection to RaceNet and other online services.

That explains it 😄 If I remember correctly (I'm not a developer), when the driver ratings were updated a while back you'd get an in-game mail about them. In this mail was a button along the lines of [Apply Update to Existing My Team and Career Saves]. In other words, you had the choice of whether to keep the current stats for any saves in progress, or update them. I am guessing it'll be the same for any future updates, but I'm not the authority no that 🙂

Forza typically do 4 year licenses. I don't know the durations for DiRT games, but they're certainly not indefinite. Maybe they get renewed every few years, considering DiRT Rally is still available

You should try not being a spambot. Once you gain sentience maybe you can register again like us humans 😉 -
This game is a joke. Anything to say code"masters"?

Coley said a few times during the broadcast that the C3 was still on rally suspension and not set up properly for RX yet. -
Hi there. There's a thread below for mod discussion, feel free to ask in there if anybody else has tried that mod in particular. Codemasters itself doesn't officially endorse any modifications made to the game, and cannot support any technical issues that arise from using one. As always, it is at your own risk to modify your game.

Has he committed to full season yet? He was supposed to only do Sweden but somehow ended up fighting for wins 😄 It even has DRS 😉 -
I'm happy that came out well and it getting good reviews 🙂 There's a thread for it here by the way:

No. v1.16 doesn't have an announced release date yet. It's not far away though. Tomorrow we'll have server maintenance, as which will interrupt online connections for a few hours.

Took me a while to get what you were asking, but now the answer is clear to me. Notice how the length of each bar is almost exactly the length of the team name? The bar on the right is therefore only a colour indicator, telling you Mercedes is teal, Red Bull is blue etc. It doesn't track the performance, its only function is to tell you what colour on each graph represents which team.

I wouldn't hold out any hope for AI changes in DiRT Rally 2.0. There's none (documented) in 1.16.
-
If you're after cross-platform Leaderboards, I believe only DiRT Rally 2.0, DiRT 4 and DiRT Rally do that. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong though 🙂

The Red Bull TV highlights were better this time than pre-lockdown. 20 minute show on Saturday, same on Sunday, but at least half of that was a no-nonsense run through the Stages with some clips of the WRC+ commentary for the dramatic live moments. Speaking of, their 45 minute show is up now: https://www.redbull.com/int-en/live/wrc-2020-rally-rewind-turkey -

That Stage was nuts. I got real Greece vibes from it, hard to tell which location would be rougher on a car. -
You might get your eyeballs on it before then 😉
-
This is the one we have in the game, the car in "Stage Mode".

Ooh that's the where I spun out on the first turn 😞 I had just done 2 hours of 4WD so wasn't ready for a MK2 Escort 😄 In the other Qualifiers I think I was Top 300, which is alright since I'm not a pro and didn't practice. -
What I like to do (25%): Overfuel by 1 lap. Rich Mix for Laps 1-3 to make up for lack of DRS. Standard for rest of race. Burn off any Rich Mix for my in/out lap during my pitstop.

I haven't driven it yet so I don't know what it's like pace-wise. In theory it should be faster than the original Fiesta, but I guess we'll find out if it can challenge the VW Polo on tarmac.
