😄 I sank hundreds of hours into F1 2011 back in the day, so I’m used to that angle.

GT6 has this amazing “ghost line” feature, even in multiplayer qualifying 🙂
-
Not sure if you can hear it in the Zandvoort video (because of the music) but the Honda in F1 2020 really rumbles and gargles off-throttle, you can almost feel the different parts of the power unit and transmission spinning round, doing their thing 🙂 Similar to 0:36 in this when the car goes through the right-hander:

Have you tried following ghosts in Time Trial by any chance? Find one that’s half a second faster than you, chase it, beat it, find another half a second faster, repeat. I sometimes call this ladder training, used to do it a lot in Forza to get to Top 1%.

And also, I’m not going to reveal anything about DIRT 5 that isn’t already out there. I will say one thing though. Did you notice the Ford Escort RS Cosworth in one of the screenshots? Wondered why the DiRT Rally 2.0 version got entirely new engine audio a year after launch? There’s your reason, new recordings 🙂

Same settings, I had my ones saved from last time. The T-Cam Offset view is default values, the Cockpit view is adjusted for maximum motion. I drive in T-Cam, but higher, further back and looking down, like F1 2010.

Hey look, a DIRT 5 forum:

None taken 🙂 I have far more experience on a wheel in DiRT Rally 2.0 than I do F1, so I’m reading all the feedback on driver skill and applying that to go faster in the future.
-
After Zandvoort I reviewed my approach to turning and wasn't as aggressive on the wheel 🙂 Subsequently (ie: after this video was captured) I recalibrated my wheel and took Fanatec's recommended F1 2019 settings (and turned on Understeer Enhance as the wheel going light helps identify too much lock). Feels better now. Very nearly flat out, only the slightest of lifts for a brief moment. With a bit more bravery and the right setup that's easy flat.

Monte tarmac sections feel great on the Softs 🙂 -

bug reports DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.13 Bug Reports
PJTierney posted a topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
IMPORTANT: Read and understand this entire opening post before replying, as providing the right amount of detail will help out the team immensely in tracking and resolving any bugs that arise, thanks. Before posting, please make sure to follow these guidelines. Without adequate information the team will have trouble identifying and fixing bugs, so please provide as much info as you can: Check if a bug has already been reported in this thread. If you reported a bug in a previous version of the game, check your game first to see if it's been fixed. If a bug has been reported and you are experiencing the same issue, hit the ❤️ icon. The more popular bug posts will have a better chance of catching the attention of the team. If a bug cannot be reproduced, it cannot be fixed. When you experience a bug, please try to trigger said bug again if you can, and show us the steps you went through to trigger it. Text steps are good, video even better. One bug per post please, for our tracking purposes. That way every bug gets its own URL for us to investigate. Please also provide the following: What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam, Microsoft or Oculus). What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.). If you're playing on PC, state whether you're in 2D or VR. Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc. Note: As this is the final major update for the game, the scope of future updates will be significantly decreased. Critical issues (crashes, savegame wipes etc.) take priority so please bear that in mind before you post. -
bug reports DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.13 Bug Reports

DLC is going to remain encrypted for various reasons, sorry.
-
None planned, sorry. A Season livery was granted to that car (which is rare as all other Season liveries are for base game cars). The '01 Focus got a new livery purely because it was being used in the Colin McRae Scenarios.

Tarmac Handling: Spain vs Germany vs Monte Carlo
PJTierney replied to ianism's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
The road surfaces being smoother/rougher probably plays into it too, and Monte being colder (theoretically). -
I like it as a casual game on a pad, but when I want to take my driving seriously it's either Rally or F1.
-
If you look back through recent titles, it is possible to have a more casual-friendly game with a decent handling model. GRID is a good example, cars are fun to drive and push hard in that, even with all the assists off.
-
I wasn't confused at your message, I was confused about the volume 😉 If Scotland needs another audio update that'll have to wait until 1.15, but I'll pass it on.
-
The reason for large downloads is due to the fact that some changes to locations require an entire location to be redownloaded again. Examples of this include changing collision detection of trees at Monte Carlo, removing a "hole" at Killarney that a car could fall through, and most notably several things to do with pace notes. Both Scotland and New Zealand had updates in 1.14, which explains why the size is so large. Also, the Ford Escort RS Cosworth got entirely new audio (based on the real car).
-
I have asked about it in feedback groups in the past, I'll bring it up again at the next one.
