This is correct. Year One Pass is the DLC item you need.

I didn't say that specifically, moreso that I don't think we'll see a new "Colin McRae" game for quite a while. Then again, who knows. FLAT OUT showed there's still a lot of love out there for Colin 🙂

Same method to use custom liveries for DLC cars
PJTierney replied to mesa's topic in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
Bear in mind the answer will still probably be no as development resources have shifted away from the title, but at least I could ask something more specific than "unlock for modders plz". Side-note, has anyone tried the Oculus version? DLC entitlements work differently there but I don't know if custom liveries do too. -
Yes, I'm helping out on bits and bobs for F1 2020; for announce I helped make the thumbnail for the trailer, adopting FOM styling (F1 game's YouTube didn't use many custom thumbnails before). Nothing as in-depth (yet) as what I did on DiRT Rally 2.0, but over time my focus will shift more towards F1 this year. I may be getting this wrong, but I feel that after Colin passed there was some sort of agreement between Codemasters and his estate to not have his name as the title of a full game anymore. To my knowledge the FLAT OUT Pack is the first time his name's been used for a major gaming content piece of any kind since Colin McRae: DiRT.

The unnanounced project that I am helping out on got announced today 😉

Petter has joined 🙂

We've all been working from home for the past month. I streamed the Colin McRae content from my living room 😄

Get Good at DiRT Rally 2.0 - Community Rally School
PJTierney replied to SkyRex's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Normal repair is... normal. May still have a bit of wear but will be back in working order. Fast repair means you take less time to repair the car in service, but it's a rush job. The part will wear faster and is more likely to break. Replace gives you a fresh new part, with its full lifespan and no wear. Theoretically there may be a very minor aerodynamic risk but I don't know if that's simulated in the game. If you're not planning to use your lights there's no need to replace them. You can't buy new ones of those in real life either 😉 Used cars already have a bunch of worn/damaged parts, but once you repair them you're good to go. -
I'm getting obliterated at Greece 1998 (91 Difficulty). Need to make 20 seconds over 5 Stages, but only gaining 5 on the first, 4 on the second, then losing 15 on the third, and more time on the 4th and 5th.

This car will not come to DiRT Rally 2.0.

Web team's aware and will investigate.

servers DiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity
PJTierney replied to CavernousEnnui's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
I don't know the details, I'm a Social Media guy, not a network technician (if that's even the correct term to use here). All I know is that they do have some systems in place to track user activity, how many people are playing etc., but at the same time "what is the community saying" is a question that gets asked, hence why this thread exists. If there's a trend in responses, like a repeating error code that gets reported, or if it's only Steam or PSN that's getting hit, or it's only in Clubs, then those are further clues to help diagnose, on top of the existing systems that I'm not privy to (because I'm not a technician). Essentially, I'm a middleman between you guys and the studio; I'm merely passing information both ways 🙂 What I do know however is that the studio takes these issues and outages seriously and has done so since before the game's launch, and their causes and future actions come up frequently in meetings. -

Thanks everyone, looks like they're getting a bit slower with higher demand (Europe just finished working from home today 😉) but support's monitoring. -
What features do we want to see in a future DIRT Rally game?
PJTierney replied to caerphoto's topic in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
A small multiplayer thing I think would be cool for streams and such, staggered starts for rally lobbies. Could potentially have options ranging from "Start at 1 minute intervals" to "Start when previous driver has finished". Would make livestreaming rallies a little more interesting than switching between live views, although the way that WRC8 shows all the ghosts in real time is neat too. 🙂 -
There should already be more DLC Challenges in there, in terms of the [Promo] Events, a whole bunch were added for the rest of the month. Non-Promo Challenges generally always use basegame content, as they need to be available for people who don't own DLC.

Thanks for the heads up, have let Support know and got confirmation they're investigating. -
Hi guys, got word on Bonus Challenges earlier but been busy, so here goes: The dev team has added a bunch of new/extra Challenges based on forum feedback. Some are "hardcore", with restricted assists, hardcore damage, higher surface degradation, severe weather etc. Others feature less commonly-used cars, to encourage you all to try them out.

Same method to use custom liveries for DLC cars
PJTierney replied to mesa's topic in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
How would you propose offering a way to make liveries editable without unlocking non-paid access to the entire car? I can't guarantee anything will happen, but at the very least I can ask. Bear in mind development available for DiRT Rally 2.0 is very limited and is nearing the point of "essential updates only" (if it hasn't passed that point already). -
Only if you earned the "free repair version" through the World Series Qualifiers last year. New players won't have access to this, only the standard version.

Just so I get this straight: You're both owners via PlayStation Plus When you're in Custom / Multiplayer, you cannot join other peoples' Lobbies When you're in Custom / Multiplayer, other players can't join your Lobbies Is that correct? You've probably already done this, but have you checked your NAT type in PlayStation settings? Ideally you should be Type 1 or Type 2, Type 3 means something in your console/home setup is refusing connections to other players. https://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/nw_test.html -
I'll ping an email and see if it can get sorted. The process looks simple enough (go to accounts.codemasters.com, sign in, go to friends, search for the username you want to add/accept) but I'm also getting that error.

The forum was developed before Stadia was a thing. I've had a look in the backend and added another box, so hopefully that works.

They should be in GRID 😉
