From Pad to Pro - Learning to use a wheel in DiRT Rally 2.0
PJTierney replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Short clip of the benchmark run since I did that first today. Found a second in Sector 2 but lost it again in Sector 4 😞 -
FLAT OUT messaging, by content I mean blogs, videos etc.

Solberg Livery Challenges – Coming to DiRT Rally 2.0 this January
PJTierney replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Oliver's is this weekend. You missed Petter's. We'll make the liveries available again later in the year 🙂 -
You nerd 😄

From what I've seen, there are sections of Scotland you'll be swearing at for weeks. (Not unlike when you visit Scotland and people swear at you for weeks).

2019 World RX Supercars - Available Now in DiRT Rally 2.0
PJTierney replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Known issue, some snag in the store backend but actively being worked on 🙂 -
Nothing specific right now, though we’re talking about future activity ahead of release, figuring out content plans etc.

Correct. The audio’s still in development and not final 🙂
-
Bear in mind that all car names are approved by the manufacturers, and I’d trust SUBARU to know which car it is 😉

I don't speak for the dev team on specifics, but when I joined Codemasters in May 2019 I was already aware that the FLAT OUT content was being planned and developed. If you look through some blog posts on the matter (not just Codemasters, but Forza, GT etc.), a car can take upwards of 9 months to research, license and build from scratch, especially older ones for which CAD data isn't readily available from the manufacturer. According to IGCD: https://www.igcd.net/game.php?id=10000036 1998 SUBARU 22B STi (the road car @tbtstt, before you freak out) 1997 SUBARU Impreza S3 Rally 2000 SUBARU Impreza S6 Rally

Scotland will be available everywhere if you have the FLAT OUT pack (which of course means that if you have a Season you can play it too).

One thing to point out that isn't in the blog: If you own the FLAT OUT pack but don't have any of the cars/Locations from the Seasons, you'll still be able to play the Scenarios that feature them.

I really liked the Ford Evo 5 once I got a tune together for it 🙂 Used it for the Achievement round Yas Marina.

From Pad to Pro - Learning to use a wheel in DiRT Rally 2.0
PJTierney replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Day 9 - Time Played: 2 Hours Time Gained: 3 seconds Places Gained: 42 I arrived home late from work today (preparing a big DiRT announcement with a lot to get done) but was still determined to get some seat time in and managed a full, intense session. First up was Sweden in the Escort MKII, which was relatively trouble free. It took me a Stage to figure out how the car felt on the snow but once I got the hang of it the AI posted no challenge and I beat them by 2 minutes. Promotion to the next difficulty seems inevitable now. Next was the Benchmark run and I beat it on my first attempt. Not satisfied with my run I went again, and beat it once more. Still not satisfied, I pushed harder and it took me an hour to beat my (new) PB, but I eventually put together a super-brave run and am now under the 3:20 barrier. Based on the splits I should be able to pick up another 7 tenths with a perfect run. I'm in 6th on Xbox and in the Top 100 across all platforms. I'm fairly sure I won't be able to beat this on a controller. -
It'll be worth it 😉
