Reminder, we have a thread for posting about server connectivity:

Yup, dev team's seeing it in the data and is on the case.

Hi all, thanks for the reports.
For transparency, we have a team of people monitoring server performance at the moment and making tweaks as necessary.
Naturally, with all the new PlayStation people arriving we're keeping a close eye on various stats and server requests.
-
The reason why:
- Oculus version doesn't do DLC entitlements the way every other platform does, it's "everything unlocked" or "nothing unlocked", for everyone.
- Oculus version pretty much never got discounted, so right up until GOTY release it was full price whereas Steam was discounted heavily.
- Once GOTY came out, that became the only version available on Oculus, the price comparable to GOTY content on other platforms.
-
Theory: Clocks moved forward an hour, so reward timing has too.
-
With many new players coming in thanks to PlayStation, the dev team have added a bunch of Bonus Events so that everybody can sample the DLC content 🙂

If anyone is having this issue, can you post in this thread please?
What platform you're playing on should help too.
-
Likely both. Argentina has the roughest gravel in the game.

So, for such distances it must be more useful to choose hard tyres over mediums.
...right?
I think a better test would be seeing how far you can go on Softs before they get Worn, as Softs are the preferred choice for pretty much anything under 20km between Service Areas.
Also, places like Argentina and Greece will (I believe) destroy tyres faster due to the heavier gravel.
-
Without numbers, they're roughly around these:
- Very Hard / Masters
- Hard / Elite
- Medium / Pro
- Easy / Clubman
- Very Easy / Beginner

I was on to get a top 20 time with just around 6-7 seconds behind the worlds best.
I was pushing extremely hard, but I was already pretty tired.
So I did a very small mistake on the very last corner and the game punched me right in my face, giving me 30 seconds.
I deserved it.
I love it.I can top that, I accidentally unlocked the "roll the Legacy in Finland" Achievement when I streamed on DiRT YouTube 😄
(1:59.50, unlocks at 2:04:10)

tyre is generally used in the rest of the English-speaking world
for virtually all other spellings and other differences between the two types of English, Canada follows UK English. it just follows the US in this case because tires are a product and it would be incredibly confusing if they had two spellings. ovens here are also in Farenheit even though the country uses Celsius.
Tyre is British English
Tire is wrong 😄

Hello everyone,
This is a quick overview of the services required to use Clubs in DiRT Rally 2.0.
The Clubs website can be found at https://dirtrally2.com/clubs
You will need a Codemasters account (linked to your platform account) in order to use Clubs.
On the Clubs website, you will be able to do the following:
- Join Clubs
- Create Clubs
- View Club Members
- Manage Club Members
- View Club Championships
- Create Club Championships
- View Club Championship Standings
In DiRT Rally 2.0 (ie: in-game), you will be able to do the following:
- View Clubs you have joined
- Take part in active Club Championships
- Submit completed Stage Times to Club Championship Leaderboards
If you experience connectivity issues or issues regarding the Clubs website, and they persist after a short amount of time (and retrying doesn't work), the best way to let us know is through the following:
-
Posting in this thread - Make sure you post what platform and region you are playing on too, as well as whether you're experiencing trouble with the game, website or both.
-
Tweet to @dirtgame - As above, specify what platform/region you are a part of and whether you're referring to the game or website.
- Email custservice@codemasters.com - As above, the more info you provide the better. Screenshots are also useful.
Although we have systems in place to detect the rare times connectivity is dropping, making us aware directly is also helpful in ensuring everybody can get back to playing the full set of game features as soon as possible.
Please note that in-game connectivity is tied into platform connectivity, so make sure to check if Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network services are up and running also.
If you need a guide on how to use Clubs, you can find that here:

Hello everyone.
This is a quick overview of the parts of DiRT Rally 2.0 that require online server connectivity to function.
An online connection is required for the following parts of the game:
- My Team - Taking part in Events.
- My Team - Completing Events and submitting times to Leaderboards.
- My Team - Updating Garage contents.
- My Team - Upgrading Staff abilities.
- Custom - Creating Multiplayer Championships
- Custom - Finding and joining Multiplayer Championships
- Custom - Submitting times to Leaderboards in Time Trial
- Custom - Accessing and taking part in Club Events
You do not need an online connection for the following game modes*:
- Colin McRae Scenarios
- Historic Championships
- FIA World Rallycross Championship
- Free Roam
- Custom - Creating and playing in single-player Championships
If you experience server connectivity issues, and they persist after a short amount of time (and retrying doesn't work), the best way to let us know is through the following:
-
Posting in this thread - Make sure you post what platform and region you are playing on too, as well as what part of the game you were trying to access at the time.

If you're on Windows 7, check this first before reporting any issues:
* The game will still attempt to connect in order to upload times to Leaderboards, however you can continue to play in these parts of the game regardless.
-
PlayStation Asia is slightly different to the other regions store-wise, and unfortunately we've seen some complications regarding the Colin McRae FLAT OUT pack in that region.
Our release team's working with the relevant people to have it up there as soon as possible, apologies for the delay.

Started going through the Scenarios on Very Hard today, done the first Tier already.
Initial thoughts: I've never driven an RS500 that quickly before 😄 Looking at the TT board for the same route as the Scotland '88 Scenario, I'd be 35th with that time.

3 hours ago, ianism said:quick question about Clubs from someone who's never done them before. the official Dirt club has several events with each class. If I pick a car to use in Scotland, am I stuck with it for every Group A event, or do you choose a car every event, regardless of which class it's being run with?
No rule coded in that locks you to a car for a whole season.
Some clubs have "house rules" where they recommend you stay in the same car.

@FaLLeNGaM8LeR Please use the video thread instead of making a new thread for each of your videos, please.

Besides, there may be plenty of other things to keep you occupied in the intervening weeks 😉

At this stage there are some bugs that are so minor they likely won't get fixed. That's just the way games are these days, team needs to move on to future projects some time afterall.
There are oddities in Forza Motorsport 7 that annoy me but since they sunsetted development last year they ain't getting changed 😄
