You will be able to join online lobbies even if you dont got the specific DLC though iirc

Correct, if the host has Seasons then all players in a Lobby can try them out.

Clubs are different however, and you get a warning before adding DLC to a Championship.

  2. Thanks @XenialJ.

    So basically,

    1. Do Windows Update to get the latest version of Windows 7.
    2. If you don't want to do that for some reason, install the security patch manually here: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/search.aspx?q=kb3140245
    3. If your version of Windows 7 is already up to date, install the registry update here (look for this button on the page: image.png) : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-wi#easy

    Right?

I want to restart the championship in the 1st easier level instead of Pro since i got a new wheel and need to practice more.

I did this exact thing recently too 🙂

I found the easiest way was to manually demote yourself by retiring from every Event in a Championship until you get dropped back down to Open. It takes a little while but works fine.

    Thanks!

    Download the fix here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-wi

I think that is the same as in your "Short version" step 3.

I did not have to do anything after installing only that.

    KB can be found here:

(The one you linked to had no download).

    Cheers :)

Just to make things easier for everyone, what parts of the guide should I update?

  5.

Can you try this, especially if you're on Windows 7.

Your security settings may be outdated compared to our servers.

    How to Fix (short version):

    Quote
    1. Use Windows Update to update Windows 7 and install the KB3140245 Security Patch.
    2. If you can't do [1]: Install Windows 7 KB3140245 Security Patch.
    3. Download MicrosoftEasyFix51044

    How to Fix (Long Version)

    Quote

    Install the KB3140245 Security Patch

    Updating your Windows Registry file

    • The next step you need to do is to patch your Windows Registry file, so that your OS will actually use the new TLS protocol versions (1.2, and 1.1 as a fallback) instead of the outdated and vulnerable 1.0 one.
    • This can be done either automatically (with an official Microsoft-released patch file) or by manually editing the registry file using regedit or our own TLS12fix.reg file.

No. The new Impreza we are getting is the successor to the Group A ('95) Impreza and was the first Impreza built to World Rally Car specifications. Mechanically it is more sophisticated than the Group A car and aesthetically it is different and it is a two door rather than a four door. It is assumed that it will appear in the 2000cc class.

The Legacy is the predecessor to the Group A Impreza already in game. It has a longer wheelbase car than the Impreza and thus should handle differently.

You're basically getting the prequel and the sequel to the '95 Impreza 😉

  9. Hello Windows 7 users.

You may have recently experienced difficulty connecting to online servers in Codemasters games.

We have been observing your reports and believe we have identified the cause.

As part of our regular server maintenance and updates, the default security policies also get updated.

Operating systems like Windows 7, which may not have the latest security updates automatically applied, will continue to have connection issues until an update is applied by the user.

    How to Fix (short version):

    Quote
    1. Use Windows Update to update Windows 7 and install the KB3140245 Security Patch.
    2. If you can't do [1], install the security patch manually here.
    3. If your version of Windows 7 is up to date and you're still having issues, install Microsoft EasyFix 51044

    Install the KB3140245 Security Patch

    • The first thing to do is to download and install the Windows KB3140245.

    • You can do that using Windows Update, since it’s available as an optional update, or manually download it from the following official website:
      https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/search.aspx?q=kb3140245

    • This will equip your OS with TLS versions 1.1 and 1.2.

    • This can be done either automatically (with an official Microsoft-released patch file) or by manually editing the registry file using regedit or our own TLS12fix.reg file. We recommend downloading the EasyFix provided by Microsoft (see below).
