  1. It's pretty common in DiRT Rally 2.0 too. Some people swear by using TrackIR + an ultrawide monitor. That thumbnail looks so real too, well done ๐Ÿ™‚ Have you looked at the recent real-life helmet cameras and tried tweaking your settings to match?

  3. So basically, if you're in the FIA series you can't use your livery or association with WRX in Nitro Rallycross. It's all legalese but that's what it looks like to me; an attempt to stop Nitro Rallycross from pulling talent/attention away from World RX.
  4. He'll need 4 overall wins and probably 2-3 TQs on top of that. If Timmy podiums every event (which he should) then it's going to be really tough to catch him.
  5. @bn880 @StockTunesOnly You guys were chatting with a guy on Discord that had crashes on Stage Load weren't you? Wasn't the issue being ghost files being too large or something? I can't remember the workaround you guys suggested that seemed to help. @Esa Ahonen It could be the dynamic banners, but I'd like to see if this ghost workaround works first as that could be the cause here.

    Yup, there's a technique to being fast with assists, just there's a technique to being fast without them ๐Ÿ™‚ Turning ABS on doesn't mean you can slam the pedal down 100% throughout the entire corner, but it does mean you have a bit of a safety net. If you have ABS on but drive as if you have ABS off, then you get the benefits of both and Jarno's obviously good enough to demonstrate that ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. I mentioned it in the official track guide a bit: Because of the elevation change, the four tyres of the car have different weight loads placed on them compared to when the road is flat. If there's too much load on the fronts or not enough load on the rears, or a big difference between left/right, the chance of the car rotating is increased. Portimao has at least 7 places where this phenomenon can occur, whereas Monza has none (except for the kerbs of course).
  11. If it's not enabled/possible, there's probably a reason for it. I don't know the official reason (because I'm not on that part of the team), so I'll turn the question in the opposite direction: Why do you think it's not a thing this year? As a side-note: "it was this way in 2020" can be a little misleading, as every game is different both from a development, logistical and an administrative standpoint. What works or is included in one game isn't a guarantee that another game will do it the same way.
  12. A different view doesn't mechanically change your inputs, it's simply a different angle that the image is displayed from. It does however change your perception, especially when you first switch. Portimao is an excellent example, as some corners are straight-up blind in cockpit view, but in TV-Pod you can see the kerbs. Subtle changes like this do infuence how you drive, but it's more a case of the piece between the seat and the screen changing, and not the game.

  15. @Luke1991 If the rear is swinging on entry it's your brakes, too much rearward bias and/or off-throttle diff is too low. If the rear is swinging mid-corner you could be riding the kerbs too hard, or you're on-throttle at an awkward point in the elevation, or your car setup's too loose. If the rear is swinging on corner exit you're either putting down too much throttle, accelerating over a crest or the on-throttle differential's too high, or the rear spring rate's too high.

  17. Not really ๐Ÿ˜… Basically, I did the official guide and it went out (below for those that missed it). On Monday evening after work I thought "Hmm, well I can't do it again. People have seen it already on the official channel" so I whipped up this instead. It's a bit more general whereas the official guide is quite specific, though I guess it works as sort of a second helping. Incase anyone missed it, this is a deep-dive into every corner. Perfect for beginners ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. That's more an issue with Formula 1 (the sport) than it is the game, as YouTube ContentID thinks you're uploading real race footage. Doesn't hurt to send into to https://www.codemasters.com/support/ regardless though, becuase if it's happening to a few people we might be able to flag it with FOM.
