No demo plans before launch. A decent amount of polish but all within the limits of day one patch size consideration. Day one patch is going to be ~1gb No plans to stop supporting DiRT Rally. Servers will remain active for a while. Dayum, you're quick on the draw. Any insight on what was polished? Any surprises maybe? Mostly squashing some bugs and improving quality.

A near infinite combination of routes but there is still a limit to the length of those routes ;) Also, just play Euro Truck Simulator for the transit routes. :p

Not a single one but I have been doing this for a long time so I'm prepared for most. Yesterday I got asked an amazing question in Milan. One that I have never been asked before and one that I really had to stop and think about. It was... "Imagine that the Colin McRae Rally and the DiRT games never existed. How would you sell this game to me as a completely new IP?" It's a great question because I have spent my whole career infused in the franchise and talking about what is new and improved. I have never considered the game from that perspective. I just hope my answer was good enough :D

I think that description fits perfectly with gamer handling. All the consoles were set to gamer apart from the two steering wheel set-ups that were set to sim. Not a single person found the simulation too easy. I know, I was watching ;)

Share it and send it to friends. They will also appear in racenet and their thevratings will drive the prominence. Whether we run competitions is yet to be decided.

Yes. If you can't afford the car for your team or you just want to earn some extra money then you should nearly always find a team offer available.
-
All cars yes. Some liveries no.

I would like this too. SLRE did it, but the colors on the rims were lighter for some reason and wasn't a very big color choice either. Also would be cool if you could change type of paint for wheels as well, like have it matte, gloss or chrome. A cherry on top would be sponsor spots on wheels (only for tire manufacturers, obviously) Yes, changing paint type would be brilliant as this is available for the body paint too! Having the ability to change the rim colour would make for a much wider scope of designs for each livery than if we are just stuck with one colour that they choose for you, and then which colour would it be and why that one? You really need to be able to change the colour for it to be a custom. Team livery. Plus the look of the wheels always has a big impact on the look of any car B) We wanted to do it but because our wheels use a different system to the rest of the branding suite (due to them changing based on condition) we didn't have the time to support this. One for the future sorry.

I don't actually know. They used to in our previous games.

Well. You can choose whatever pattern you like and copy and paste your chosen colour into the four colour slots. It might sound like a pain but each pattern has different sponsor positions so it means you can make your solid colour livery but still have a choice over how the sponsors are positioned.

If you have the correct specification of brake system on your car you shouldn't really feel the effect of brake fade. Our brakes do wear and become less effective if you don't repair them but it's not brake fade.

@kickup You missed my question :( one more question, Its great to have some kind of tribute for Colin McRae and Richard Burns, But have You tought about posibility tribute for one of best Co Drivers, Michael "Beef" Park, Sadly his Life ended to early.. maybe Car or livery from his best days with Markko Martin ? Agree we should do something.

You can refill the radiator at the roadside but it adds a bunch of time to your Stage. Radiator damage does lead to more engine wear but whether it ends up being critical depends on the scenario.
-
no it won't. Depends on platform you are on. Nothing is over 50 seconds. In sim you have to stop to find reverse. In Gamer reverse engages without having to press the brake again

1. None at the moment. 2. No there is variations 3. Not for D4 but it's a cool idea 4. Don't know yet

No ghost cars in Rally multiplayer @kickup But ghost cars are an option in single player Rally, when racing against a leaderboard time, yes? Yes

There was a bit of a strange instant reset when he did a half spin in that hairpin in Spain. Hopefully that won't occur often. That is a cheat line preventing corner cutting. It's that or get complaints about people taking shortcuts.

I think those guys are just really green @bogani and a bit confused about things. I have to say the quality of their video capture is really high quality, the best Ive seen of D4 by far. Game looks stunningly good and that footage of the mini in the fog in Wales is soooo sexy. Also, unless Im mistaken, the rain effects on the RX track look improved as well. It was captured from PS4. The runs we have done we're on PC.

No but there will be other events that occur.

No one has been given a code. They came to the event in London yesterday. As I have said many times before we cannot tell the journalists who attend these events how to drive or what they can and cannot do. Nope, that would not be ethical. You can only hope that people will like the game and do a good job of representing the game to the market. Are you guys at Codies still planing on doing some gameplay footage before release as was mentioned earlier? Im also still hoping for an epic Dirt Show before launch  Can I ask as well, what kind of stuff you guys are up to at the moment? Is it mostly testing and bug fixing right now? Anyway, hope its going well, the game is looking absolutely fantastic so far and looks to be the extremely worthy successor to the wonderful Dirt Rally that many of us were hoping for, plus even more :) We've done some recordings of runs in the new Rally cars on various stages using sim. We've then recorded the same runs in the replay. They need to go through approvals so I don't know when they will be available but they should start appearing over the next couple of weeks. Work wise the team have been focusing on fixes that will go into the day one patch. Mostly they are fixes for online modes but there are some other bits and pieces that we are putting in as well. The aim is to keep the patch size as small as possible though. After that we will be putting our plans together for updates but that tends to happen when the game is released and we can gauge what is being said about it. Personally I'm going to Milan Mon-Wed next week then Lydden Hill on Thurs-Fri. I'm spending the weekend with my family and then going to Paris Tues- Wed. This is all for preview events and getting the game in front of as many journalists as possible.
