I know Codemasters would certainly do a better job with NASCAR than ETX has done but after recently purchasing Grid Autosport I have some serious concerns.  Don't get me wrong, GA is a really good game.  However, the lack of rear/side view mirrors, no cautions, no pitting, and hazy cockpit view would all be serious detriments to a good "NASCAR experience" IMHO.

As I predicted earlier, ETX will do whatever they can to squeeze out one last ripoff from consumers, and in order to do that, they have to make people believe they are still working on the game. Once the DLC is released, and they see the last dime of profit, they will finally acknowledge that they are done with Nascar. thundertime said: they already had the patches done before they let most there devs for nascar walk. they only have a few (2 to 3) left just enough to look at bugs/glitches and launch the dlc. so etx is done with nascar games after the patches and dlc come out.  Thanks guys.  Makes sense.  Guess it's way to early to know who will making the next NASCAR title, if anyone, at this point?

    GRID Autosport Feedback

Really enjoying this title so far.  Absolutely cannot understand how they omitted rear/side view mirrors.  Especially considering how aggressive the AI cars are.  Makes no sense to me.  Really detracts from the overall driving experience.  I can never truly tell how close approaching cars are to me.  Using the mini map is not accurate enough!  CM please fix this in a future patch.  I saw something listed for an upcoming Steam patch but consoles were not mentioned.

Anyone else think it's strange that ETX continues to release patches for Nascar 14? Plus they are still promising DLC in the very near future.  Recent reports claim that most of the Nascar developers have been laid off or sent to other projects, no?

73duster said: I was DUMBFOUNDED by ETX's decision to use Ed Martin to head their marketing dept., rather than put him in charge of the actual game development. I thought that was one of their WORST decisions considering how HE was in charge of EA's Thunder series from 2003 to 2005, which were some of the BEST console Nascar titles to date. I agree with you about Ed Martin duster.  But maybe that was the way Ed Martin wanted it.  I would have to assume that it is much easier to be a mouthpiece for a company than it is to be in charge of the project.  He just ran around doing interviews making false claims about a game that he had no involvement with.  Probably helped out his retirement savings quite a bit!

Please please CM make a NASCAR game! We need a company that is as serious about making quality racing games as we are serious about our love of stock car racing! We need a NASCAR game with the same level of attention to detail that you have given to F1.
