Yea bud that should be good :) Had to save after 10 laps though as I was too tired, been up for nearly 20 hours (bloody MS) watching Alien 3 now so I'm going to be up for a while yet lol. So far from what I can see the changes you've made are good and didn't take you that long so I'm not sure why Codemasters couldn't tweak it before release. Other than that though it's the best F1 game they've made, really looking forward to the "next gen" version o:)

Agee with that! Having my brothers baby here for a few hours is enough lol He may look cute and innocent but he's evil I tell ya, he's already head-butted me :#

@RevolvingPrawn Just about to start my race at China (bloody raining so got to use full wets :s) Bottas qualified 5th so it seems to be working as he was much lower in previous races. I'm starting 1st but if it stays wet I doubt I'll finish 1st.... I forgot to look at the weather for race day and have a dry setup lol should be fun. I've come first every race so far so I'm due a bad race. If I carry on winning Im going to try it on legend. Do you know when you want to start our career?

Think I've just been awake too long (been up since 4:30am) :( Anyway just stick to a pwm and ignore me, although if you start with a silent fan then they can run at 100% and be ok.
-
Edited my post above, think I may be wrong...... :#
-
You don't need pwm for that. On my Mobo bios I can set a target temputure for my CPU and it'll speed up/slow down when needed, the Noctua fans aren't pwm and they work fine ;) You've never needed a pwm fan for the cpu ports, how do you think the crappy standard coolers speed up/slow down? :p it's only the other fan ports that need pwm. Right, I'm confused lol. I thought PWM fans were needed for the CPU cooler? Like every one I've used so far has had a 4pin (I think) connector so I figured a 3 pin wouldn't speed up/slow down in sync with temps? And which other fan ports need PWM? I'm definitely not sure what I need now :p CPU fan ports have never needed pwm fans (or so I thought). If you look at the standard cooler that comes with a Intel i5/i7 they don't use pwm. My Current Noctua cooler is actually pwm but my last one wasn't and that could still speed up or slow down. I might be totally wrong and it might only work on certain motherboards. A standard 3 pin fan can still speed up and slow down as it alters the voltage from 12v downwards whereas a pwm keeps it at 12v. Maybe try a 3 pin fan into the CPU slot and set a target and see if it can or not. I was always sure though that the standard coolers that come with the cpu were 3 pin but I might be wrong (I haven't used one for many years) Should really talk about this in the PC thread but hay ho. Edit: It seems I was wrong and Intel cpus come with a pwm fan.... I was sure my old Noctua could speed up and slow down though, even though it was a 3 pin. Better to just buy (like you have) a pwm fan lol. Maybe I'm just getting confused (it doesn't take a lot) although the DS fans are silent anyway so don't need to be PWM :#

I wouldn't buy a Coolermaster fan either bud :# Why don't you just try one of the DS fans on your cpu cooler? The static pressure is pretty good so should be good to use on a cpu cooler. I still haven't tried them on my Noctua yet mainly because the fans on it are good, it's just the looks lol.
-
Might be a good idea actually ;) Corsair SP120 PWM for my CPU cooler Big mistake bud! I had three of them and they were awful.... Not that quiet and don't move loads of air.... I would've given you mine, although they aren't pwm but that doesn't make a difference on noise. Hope you like them though as I thought they were rubbish, especially compared to the ones you have.

It doesn't look anything like the graphics Sky use, all that's changed is the colour which I noticed but that's all that's changed. I haven't got to test your changes yet but I'm about to bud. I hope you haven't changed wear rate too much, as Williams aren't that good with tyres. I'll let you know what I think in a bit.

Finally Lee Clarke has been sacked! B) Hate him.

@RevolvingPrawn For some reason I can't get the skin to work for Williams.... Not sure why it won't work as I changed the McLaren one ok  Edit: Ok I now have it working, the first link for Williams doesn't work anymore, and the second doesn't include the car livery bud, just the team but even so that doesn't work for me. I do have the proper livery now though. Its not great though, as the logos are mirrored so one side is backwards....lol

I thought I made it for primes as it felt good in practice, but come race day it was awful for primes.... Just about to install some mods and your database changes. Btw that OSD doesn't look any different to me, or am I blind?
-
And just as I thought I was going to have an easy win, I didn't.... i built up a 15 second gap to Hamilton before my final stop but wish I went longer on the option tyre. As soon as I went on the primes I felt like I had no grip. I was a second slower on them than I was on worn options, so Hamilton soon caught me up at the end :# I did win but on just! I'm not sure why but I had no traction with the primes, and suffered with understeer. If I stayed on the options for 5 more laps (which I'm sure I could've as they still had grip) then I would've been ok, as I was pulling away from Lewis.

I can't view the setup at the moment during a race but I'll find it later. Finished work and now trying to force my broken body to play F1 >:) I think doing a full race distance at once was a mistake, as ever since I've felt like crap :( When are we going to start a career together bud? I do think though that it's me that's making the AI slow at Bahrain, as its one of the few circuits where I can hit every apex lap after lap. I just love the track o:)
-
No I'm going to try them today bud, but I'm halfway through my career race at Bahrain at the moment so I want go finish that first. Either I'm really fast at this track or the AI are slow. I made a perfect setup (for me) on this track though, normally I look on racedepartment for setups but I've decided to try and make my own this year. There's no point me downloading those cams, as I only use cockpit view and they seem fine to me o:) The UK is so far behind when it comes to broadband speed..download a GB in a second!. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/south-korea-preps-10gbps-broadband-1gb-in-8-secs.html
-
I'm just letting a little squeeze off the throttle and going through no probs. Sometimes with the right line it's flat no problems. Don't worry about losing time though, seems sector 3 of Melbourne the AI can destroy you no matter what you do. Agreed, was like that for me last year. :(
-
That's download speed bud, upload speed would be much slower, thus it would be quicker to download them not matter what ;)
-
Yea I should think that'll work. Worth trying to find out :) And unless you have a very fast connection, I wouldn't bother uploading any of them lol. I once uploaded 80GB of files on a 2.5Mb connection... It took 5 days to finish :| Yea it would take longer to upload it rather than just re-downloading.
-
Well I don't play online. Also seen pad users saying the get extreme amounts of understeer so swings & roundabouts....
-
I don't have any problem using a wheel.... These cars have a lot more torque compared to last year so you have be careful with the throttle, I think they've got these cars feeling perfect.

Designers/Artists show off your work!

That looks awesome!, only ruined by the Ford badge :p j/k Mind you, if Ford made that I'd buy it! You have some serious talent ;) Looking at your blog and there's some awesome stuff on there. I love that little Renault, I'm pretty sure you'll be designing cars for a company at some point. -
Yes I did and everything I wrote applies to that to, even more so as the PS3 cpu is completely alien. Even devs had trouble using it on PS3.
-
Yea I just couldn't really be bothered as I'm extremely tired :(
-
Because they weren't designed to run windows..... The OS on the 360 is very barebones and is designed to not take up much processing time as it's designed for games. Even if you could get it to work, it would be much slower than a laptop from 2004. Just because it's the same company doesn't mean it'll work. It would be like you trying to talk to a Chinese person (if you don't know Chinese) you just wouldn't understand each other, you're both human but can't undertand each others language.
