Full 4K for F1 :) And they sure as hell are outdated dude. It's probably gonna be around the same too on Grid Autosport I think though. Figured something out with Tomb Raider since that benchmark, I forgot to turn off AA ;p So with AA off, and TressFX off too, it's around 65FPS average at 1620p :D The only thing now is that I've run into an issue that others have too. It seems on some games (Metro Redux and Crysis 3 atm but Batman AC has PhysX issues too) the driver crashes, and then I have to restart because loading any other game just crashes too. Apparently the only workaround atm is to switch PhysX onto CPU instead, but that's a little annoying! Hoping now that they sort that out in the next drivers. The joys of PC gaming bud :( I'm just glad I've stopped Shadow of mordor from crashing. If you find games like ac and Batman too easy then this is the game for you. The amount of times I've died becasue I didn't plan attacks is insane...lol Lol, you can say that again :p Good news on that :) I've had a look at some gameplay vids though and I don't think it's a game for me :p Atm I'm sat here looking at my games list and just wishing I could play Destiny on my pc lol. But you have Batman and ac don't you? It's kinda like both those games mixed together. I'm not even a Lord of the rings fan but really enjoy it. Got it for £22 from greenmangaming as they always have awesome deals compared to steam (it's £30 on Steam)

In the F1 pic do you mean 4k or 1440p? Either way good results bud although downsampling isn't anywhere near as demanding as running the actual res. It does show how dated the F1 graphics are though.

Thanks you three o:)

I don't usually which is why I was surprised I did this time Yea it's a strange one too, as I remember you from the first/old forum :p

Lucky sob! Hope you enjoy it bud.

Lol thanks for the half eaten cakes onetwothree. @RevolvingPrawn Nope I'm only 25 so you're still the oap here hehe :p Although I do have a beard like that growing at the moment lol. Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

I haven't a bleeping clue what I just read.... :o lol very funny though, I was never going to win a popularity contest :#

Ok I don't want to jinx myself but "I think" I've fixed the crashing in Shadow Of Mordor. I did two things 1. Set my overclocked gpu back to what it came as, even though I've had it overclocked since I bought it over a year ago. 2. Stopped using MSI afterburner for ingame monitoring of temps, usage and so on... So far it seems ok, so let's hope that has fixed it as the game is great! I'm not sure which one of those things did the trick and can't be bothered to find out, I'm just happy it seems to be working B)

@onetwothree is the birthday cake boy usually :p I like more than one cake :p Spent all my money on my GPU = no cake for you :p You understand that computer comes first though right? ;) :'( That's not fair, I want my cake! :p
-
Lol, I will eventually :p Just not right now. Enjoy it though! But also let me know how long you play it before feeling the need to go back to Destiny ;) I haven't played Destiny since playing it with you. :p In a bad mood though as Shadow of Mordor keeps crashing :(
-
That's not the problem though especially as I have a high end PC. It's a major problem that a lot of people are having. I can't play as it'll crash mid way through a mission. Proper pissed off right now! It seems like a great game and runs at a constant 60fps...

Shadow of mordor keeps crashing on me :s Seems to be happening to a lot of people...

@RevolvingPrawn Forza Horizon 2 just came B) I'll let you know how it is as you're not getting it now.

It's my birthday tomorrow, @RevolvingPrawn I hope you've got me a birthday cake. o:)

You shouldn't get screen tear when Vsync was on as that's the whole point of it, so either game, driver or monitor problem lol Id love a 4k screen but until graphics cards are powerful enough it's not worth it. Just played a bit of Middle Earth shadow of Mordor and it uses all of my 3GB of vram without downloading the high res textures (which use 6GB of vram!) which is why I won't buy a 980. The PS4 has 8GB although not all can be used, which is why it disappointed me that the 980 only has 4gb. They really should've sold the 980 with a minimum of 6gb to start with (there are going to be 980s with 6 or 8gb soon) I only played the game for 30mins but found it really good, and it seems to be well optimised apart from the vram usage.

I'm not really sure why, it just made me feel ill. I wouldn't know about screen tear as I always use Vsync. It's all personal to what you like. I mean I can still play at 1080p or lower otherwise I wouldn't have an X1/ps4 but if I play games on PC at that they look ugly (ish) compared to 1440p, plus I don't have to use AA really. When does your 980 come bud? I probably would've bought one if I didn't buy the PS4 and only the X1. Now I don't have a custom waterloop it won't cost me so much to upgrade which is good. I'm just waiting for Shadow of mordor to download, don't think it'll be ready until midnight though as its 34GB :# My two SSD's are going to get full quick with the size of the games now... I do get what you mean :p It's almost like it's too smooth and it throws your brain off balance a bit, but you do eventually get used to it, and for me now seeing anything below 50fps or so seems a little stuttery. The 980 should be here Friday morning :) Could have had it today, but I wasn't home and I won't trust my neighbours with something like that. I'm not too worried about games looking a bit ugly at 1080p now though, I'll be testing the DSR/SRT on the 980 when it's in :D And it's a shame you bought the PS4 dude, but I'm glad you bought your X1! It's awesome having someone to game with on Destiny :) Ah yea, you won't have to buy a new waterblock for your next GPU right? How much did it cost you for just that part? And what size SSD's? I keep seeing 512GB ones for around £150, and they keep tempting me :p But I will hold out this time! The waterblocks were £70+. I have two 256GB SSD's, they make a massive differnce to a PC, from boot times to general usage and games load amazingly quick compared to a HDD. Btw my brain works in mysterious ways lol I can see things on monitors that others can't. Because of the way lcd/led monitors are lit I can see flickering black sort of colour in motion. I can't remember the term but someone explained it to me on a tech website and suggested getting this Dell 1440p ips monitor and now it's fine, which means I don't strain my eyes. IPS monitors work differently to LCD/LED which means I don't see it. I'm not even sure if there are good ips 1440p monitors above 60hz as I didn't see any when I bought this one, but it doesn't bother me as I love my current one and don't see the need to go above 60fps.

Lol, what's the refresh rate and size of your monitor? :p 27 inch 60hz. I had a 120hz one but didn't like it for some reason. It's not one of those cheap Korean ones, it cost over £500 B) 2560x1440p beats 1080p no matter what hz it runs at. I was shocked at how much better it looked, it's like when you first went from a sd TV to a HDTV. Having a good monitor with high res/ great colours is just as important as having a good GPU, considering it's what you use to display all that power.
-
You two have made my PC feel depressed :p Still I have a 1440p monitor so I atleast have something better than @RevolvingPrawn o:) I'm going to try and hold on to my 780 until the next gen of Nvidia cards (unless AMD pull something amazing out of their arses)
-
Ok even though Forza Horizon 2 could come tomorrow I've still gone ahead and bought Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. o:) It looks like an awesome game! I got it for PC as it cost me half as much compared to X1/ps4. The downside is the size of the download (34 GB) There's also a "HD texture pack" but it says you need 6GB of video memory for that which even the new Nvidia 980s don't have. People have been saying it runs fine with just 3GB of vmem, but I'll probably just play without them as it looks good anyway, especially as I play at 1440p resolution.
-
Yeah i have it for the PS4 but i have a couple of friends who play it on the 360 too and i sent you both a friends request aswell :) Ah no worries :) I'll accept your FR, but I don't own a 360 anymore so we'll probably never get to game together :p @Hughesy Same dude, surely we can't be the only 2 people here who play Destiny on X1? We probably are bud, considering all the hate the X1 gets. Remember kinect is recording us lol Its makes me laugh when people say that, as all phones/tablets and most laptops have a camera facing them.

Maybe I'd feel different if I could do the raid... Wish there were other people here we could play with :(

That's all well and good mate, but this stuff was promised for this game. I do like the game but really it's very empty, and many planets were cut from the game in my opinion. For instance planets that were in videos aren't in the game. They even talk about Saturn in that link I posted, and things like mile long ships to battle through. I love playing the strikes with you but there's only a few of them. The amount of time this game was in development, I can't believe this is all the finished content. Sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my chest.
