It's a Renault engine according to the database bud ;) Just go look on racedepartment and you'll find out. People who have changed things found it, and it's a pretty bad mistake in what is otherwise a good F1 game.BobbyDeacs said:
I followed with 1:46.5 and was 6th I think, which was better than Bottas anyway - camera had conked out by then. Very similar lap just more patient on throttle.vtidixon said:cheers for the vid bobby and nice smooth driving! what position did you end up tho as you were only 6tenths quicker than a caterham when the vid finished and from the few qualis ive done in the wet the AI get quicker as the tyres get warmer. Im struggling in the wet with grip but I think it feels really good this year as it finally a challenge to get the power down. The issue I have is matching the AI times as I can go from matching hamilton in a merc (gp mode) in the dry but when it rains chilton is lapping faster than me :( I know I need to find time myself in the wet but I just cant see me matching there times without putting tc on med or full which I really dont want to do as this game is hard with no assists but becomes boring very quick when using assists
I think it's a bit borderline in the wet, but still driveable. In dry it's actually quite easy once you get used to the low revving. Hughesy, it maybe sounds a bit different than Merc but it feels like Merc engine and I think it's deeper tone than Renault, just the Williams in this game can't handle it very well. Maybe I'm wrong?
Whatever, if they sort out the silly pad issues, we're good for another year. -

Edit: double post, sorry -
I know this isn't really related to wet weather but Codemasters gave Williams a Renault engine instead of a Merc, that's pretty bad :o -
Paa we all know where to get them o:) Also @Hatta You guys have given Williams a Renault engine instead of a Mercedes engine, just thought you should know as that's a pretty bad mistake :p -
In the dry I was about the same pace as Hamilton, sometimes faster sometimes slower but in the wet he's 3 seconds quicker than me. Even the low end of the field are doing the same times as me even though I'm in a Merc. This is the only problem I have, as the rest of the game is pretty good imo. -
The AI are stupid in the wet on F1 14! Hamilton is over 3 seconds faster than me, and most of the lower end of the field are doing the same lap times as me. I love racing them in the dry but in the wet it's awful :( Why they've made them that fast I have no idea, either that or they haven't given the player enough grip. -
Had an awesome drive home! Had to take a mate to his parents house (who are filthy rich!) they have a big manor sort of house, with a long twisty private road. So my mate played the co driver role and called out the bends. So I went flat out down this road and on the final straight I got upto 95mph (the road is pretty tight) so it felt like I was going 200mph. That was awesome fun and it's the first time I've driven my Golf like that o:) Even manged a small drift which isn't my strong point in racing sims. All those hours driving sims have taught me a lot. I never felt out of control even though I turned off the TC, but I do hurt a bit now due to my stupid medical condition. For that short amount of time I forgot all about the MS though :)
Ps this was all legal due to it being on a private road, I just hope I get to do it again at some point. wish I had s go pro camera though as it would've been fun to watch it back. -
It's still cool to have a real teammate though, as it'll make beating him more important. I'd like to do league racing in F1 at some point. I bet you'll be doing it for "15 on Xbox One? I wouldn't mind getting it on it so I can join in, but I really hope they make it 60fps...RevolvingPrawn said:
I dunno, just never really got back to it, and coop career isn't hugely fun really. Just like normal career only you have a real teammate lol.Hughesy said:Why didn't you get past Bahrain? Also is that season pass expensive? I never buy a sp as I refuse to pay for dlc before its done and before I know what it is. I hate dlc and rarely buy it, unless it's really good and worth the value.
£23.99 for a handful of single player and coop missions. One of the missions includes Yeti's. I wanna shoot some Yeti's but not for £23.99. I'll probably end up spending about that on the damn game itself. -

Na @RevolvingPrawn can just carry me o:) :pTommig1995 said:
Also, if a massive banking is going to be a problem, I suggest the bottom half of Pouhon, or one of the ends of the Kemmel straight.RevolvingPrawn said:Lol in that case bud it might be better to just get general admission tickets and take our own foldout chairs :p From what I've been reading there's still plenty of good spots even with that ticket, like the Kemmel Straight, Pouhon, and Bus Stop :) -
When I was a kid my cat brought a rabbit back that was twice the size of him lol. He also snapped a tiny ducklings neck in front of me and I cried.... :sRevolvingPrawn said:Wonderful. One of my cats just brought a tiny live mouse into the house, got it away from him and was taking it outside only to find another, dead this time, by the back door. Not pleased with kitty, mice are cool. -
Should be fun on Thrusday bud, as I haven't played with anyone on Codemasters F1 games.. And yea 2010 they were slow but since then way too fast lol. -
Yea it's strange... I'm not sure why I'm so slow on Codemasters F1 games :( especially as single seater cars are my favourite :# Think I could do ok on legend but not in the rain. I'm on expert and 20 laps into the race at China in heavy rain, I'm down to 4th after starting 1st and Hamilton is over a second faster than me (even if I turn TC on) but I did setup for a dry race so have pretty low downforce on.RevolvingPrawn said:
Maybe only on F1 :p On Forza you an I are extremely close with lap times.Hughesy said:
I don't really play online, although I'm starting a career with @RevolvingPrawn on Thursday buts that's against AI. He's faster than me so he'll be number one and I'll be like Massa- "Dave is faster than you" so get the F out of the way....loljordieDAFC said:I look forward to giving you's a whipping @RevolvingPrawn @Hughesy ;) -

Great choice! I have the 780 with TwinFrozr cooler and its very good. Did have a custom water loop but due to my medical condition I couldn't do it anymore. So I had to go back to air cooling and use the TwinFrozr for the first time (I'd had the GPU for a year before having to use air cooling again) it's a very quiet cooler and the temps are pretty good, obviously not like using watercooling as it would only go upto 50c most of the time.garyjpaterson said:May have just bought a 970 to replace my 570!
I would have upgraded last year from my 6870, but i found an open box 570 going for cheap, so thats filled a bit of time. Pretty excited, got the well regarded MSI TwinFrozr version, hoping theres no issues.
Think my TwinFrozr goes upto 67c with a custom fan profile, but these cards can go to over 80c and be fine so you don't need to use a custom profile if you want it really silent. I game with headphones so that's why I let my fans go higher. -
Yea I needed the backplate for my Noctua cooler but didn't know if I had it or not (couldn't find it) but put my Nd-h 15 on without it and it seems to be fine (I think) I might buy the bits for the H100i soon and if it all works fine I could sell the Noctua, although I hate using places like eBay as I have to add loads of info. I prefer to sell to someone randomly like I did with you, as you knew everything you needed to about the G27. Think I was in such a state (or bad mood) after I couldn't do water cooling anymore I wasn't thinking straight, a simple search and I found what I needed on Corsairs website....RevolvingPrawn said:Lol, ah bud, that's harsh! Well at least if you ever fancy a change back you know it won't be too pricey :p Lucky that you can get hold of them too! When I contacted Alpenfohn to say the Intel backplate wasn't included in my box they more or less replied with "Too bad".
might get it out tomorrow and see if I need anything else, and if I do then maybe Corsair sell it. -
I need all the mounting parts lol I don't remember throwing any of it away but I have so much old PC junk I couldn't find it :# It should still work even though it's been sat doing nothing for a few years. I can't be bothered to contact Corsair now though as I spent £70 getting the Noctua cooler.RevolvingPrawn said:Ah, when they were still being made ;) The amount they went up to for even a single fan though says a lot about how well they must have performed :)
Will Corsair not supply the parts you're missing? Surely there's gotta be some way to get hold of the bits. What is it that you need?
They sure do look awesome though :) I love the fact that it has RGB LEDs for any colour you want! But yea man, that Noctua might be one of the ugliest things you could put in a PC, but the quality and performance are certainly worth the eyesore ;)
Edit: just looked and it only costs £10 lol why didn't I look before I bought the Noctua.... I didn't know you could buy it! Feel like a right bellend now. -
Microsoft is bringing out a smart watch soon, one feature is that it'll track your heart rate and this came to mind @RevolvingPrawnGood morning Dave, your heart rate is rather high. I am calling 911 for you Dave.
*But Smartwatch, I am having intimacy time with my significant other. Please do not call 911
Too late Dave, help is on the way.

btw the typhoons were cheaper than the Corsair ones when they were still being made :p
I kinda wish I got another H100i as it did look awesome! Having one sat here but not having the bits to use it is very annoying. The NH-D15 is big and ugly but it does the job as I no longer care about looks so much, just performance. -
No it wasn't pwm but I could run it at that rpm, but it doesn't move that much air then. I bought them to replace the typhoons but after comparisons they were nowhere near as good (apart from the looks) so was pretty mad that some wc veterans recomended them lol Maybe I got duff ones who knows, but they work for you so that good.RevolvingPrawn said:Do you reckon it could be because I'm using the pwm one? Or was yours pwm too? It's currently at 745rpm and I can't hear anything from it :)
I'm thinking I might end up going with a Corsair H100i around Christmas, been dropping not so subtle hints to the family that that would be a good present choice for me ;) Not so much for the temps, mainly for how much cleaner it makes a system look, so if I get one I'll probably grab another one of these and use them instead of the fans that come with it.
And tbf, you told me the other day those Typhoons were some of the best fans around for watercooling, and for the price they'd damn well have better beat the Corsairs :p -
Never bought from places like that, they all seem dodgy to me :# -
That's good then mate. I hated it, I had the quiet one but found it loud still and temps were poor compared to my gt typhoons at the same rpm when I had watercooling.RevolvingPrawn said:@Hughesy Just got that Corsair fan stuck onto my cooler, I'm actually happy with it lol :) No difference in noise, my idle CPU temp has dropped by 2c, and it looks cool! So I won't steal the one in my stepdads after all ;)
