Fuck that, my beards my pride and joy! My moustache is part of it so it counts o:) -
Yes it does bud (in my mind), we are beard buddies :p although mines only half way where I want it to be.RevolvingPrawn said:
I already have a beard, does it count for Movember? :pHughesy said:Anyone going to grow a beard for Movember? I would say I am but I've been growing one for the past few weeks. Once I'm satisfied by it I'll post a pic o:) -
So you have no money after January? March is a few month later lol :p and I did warn yall it wasn't ready ;)AMS97KRR said:
FFS. I was really looking forward to this...Hughesy said:http://www.gamespot.com/articles/project-cars-delay-to-march-2015-confirmed/1100-6423015/
LOL told you lot it was impossible for the game to release in November.
"This delay has come about because a couple of other big games have announced they are shipping around the same time as our planned first date," Garton wrote.
So they are going to release it in March, after everyone has spent their money in the January sales? -

Now all you need is a blue case, or paint your case blue :p I'll name it the blue goblin o:) although the blue and black looks good. I actually hate my current case. I love the Corsair 600t white graphite that I also have which is actually sound dampened, but that doesn't have very good cooling options and you need 200mm fans for front and top, so now I have these nice fans you recommended (which are awesome, as I can even fall asleep with my PC on now as I'm very sensitive to noise when sleeping) I wouldn't be able to use them. -
You should, me an @RevolvingPrawn were very sceptical but once we played it, we loved it. The cars feel awesome to drive and it's the best in the series. Yes it doesn't look different but it does feel different thanks to these turbo cars. It's sad so many will miss out becasue it's the best Codemasters have done and will give me my F1 fix until F1 15 B)jordieDAFC said:Was tempted to get it tonight after work... -
Good choice, I love using the F1 rim as it feels so nature when racing an F1 car. Although FFB isn't Codemasters strong point, it does still feel good using it for F1 14 ;)pcgameplayuk said:im getting the Thrustmaster T500 rs with the f1 addon, really looking forward to using a good wheel but me old one have served its time and done a good job, -
Looks awesome! I'll just stick to one 1440p monitor for now. What wheel you getting? I have a pretty big collection, Fanatec GT2 (not sure if it still works) Thrustmaster T500rs and a TX wheel, also have the Ferrari F1 rim and I did have a G27 but sold it to someone on here o:)pcgameplayuk said:pc all the way for me new wheel monday , just a pic of me mate having a few laps on f1 2014 on triple screen http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n505/stevenwatt2010/10420426_10152719385374034_372202634215415871_n_zps8f65b896.jpg -
Tbh it doesn't really matter, as if you have a good HDD load times are pretty quick anyway. That's one of the things that confesses me with the two new consoles, why did they stick with slow 5400rpm laptop hard drives, and also 500GB ones. Atleast on X1 you can add a good usb3 drive, anyway this is the PC thread so a bit off topic. o:) -

You must have a problem with your SSD then bud :p I have a WD black HDD but most games take a lot longer to load compared to my SSD, but tbh I agree with everything else. If it was me I'd get a smaller SSD and get a better GPU as that's the main part for most games really. I have two 256GB SSDs but only had one at first, so you can always add another one at a later date if it means getting a better GPU :)RevolvingPrawn said:
Sods law indeed ;) If you needed to drop the price down a bit for the better GPU, you could always go for a 120GB or 240GB SSD instead. Personally I use a 120GB for my OS and program files, and I currently have 63GB free on it still. And you can redirect your documents/pictures/videos/music folders to folders with the same name on the 1TB drive.BobbyDeacs said:Great comments already guys. Thanks, knew you would have to pick on the expensive item of course - sods law, you get what you pays for - 970 then. Are AMD higher end (3GB R9 280X) out of question? Similar question with CPU?
Of course, maybe hang around for BIG WIDE curved screens to get cheaper. Will Oc Rift require a top end graphics card too, I'm guessing that's more like 2 screens instead of 3?
I'm gonna guess you went for the bigger SSD with the intention of installing games onto it? Tbh, there won't be any noticeable different performance or loading times wise between the SSD and the HDD. I've tried running Arma 3 from my SSD, then tried it on one of my HDD's, and I can't say I noticed any different at all. The only thing I would say about the 1TB drive is try to go for one that has 64MB cache rather than the 32MB, it'll barely be more on the price.
As for the CPU, the one you've chosen is awesome, don't even look at any AMD's at the same price range because none will be as powerful. Just keep in mind that the 4790 you've chosen can't be overclocked if you were planning to do that. You'd need the 4790K for that.
And with the GPU, I think that's already been nailed. GTX 970 is a much better option. -
There's nothing we can do, go to where you got it from and tell them what's wrong ;) You sure it wasn't bought from a scam site? Don't apologies, you speak better English compared to a lot of English people here :p -
Ok fair enough o:)TheHemps said:

What frustration? You've got me all wrong.... I'm not just a PC gamer, I also have X1/PS4 and wii u and wasn't trying to force anyone to game on PC, I'm not sure where you got that from :| And I'm not sure how I was talking down to him, this is why I don't normally post in this part of the forum, as people take what others are saying completely out of context.DarkRedslayer said:I didn't say I can't use one lol. But unless you want to pay 2x as much for a PC that only matches the PS4 in power, you're gonna want to build it yourself. And even though it is (In my opinion anyway) easy to put one together, you still have to make sure you buy compatible parts. Then there is drivers etc. (still not that hard, but still more of a hassle than consoles)
If you want to over pay, or if you pretend the build process doesn't exist, then yeah its just as easy.TheHemps said:Hughesy said:
Well it's not. If my brother can play games on it the. Anyone can. He's 28 but knows nothing about settings and bla bla bla. It's as simple as console gaming these days, Nvidia has a program that will set all the settings for you so you don't even have to mess about for ages looking at what your PC can handle. I like my consoles to but when there's a problem you can't do anything about it, atleast on PC you can work around problems ;)DarkRedslayer said:Still more expensive and more of a hassle than consoles at the end of the day.
lll never really get the arguments anyway. Both have advantages and disadvantages and both NEED to coexist to get the best games.
I have to be honest, I usually can't stand the way PC gamers talk down to people. If he says it's too complicated and too much hassle for him then thats what he's decided and you can't tell him his opinion is wrong, as no opinion is wrong.
However......That being said........Not being able to use a PC in 2014 is like not being able to read a book in 1974. You are illiterate in the modern world.
I see where your frustration stems from, everyone should know how to use a PC. And Steam makes it so easy.....But there's just people that haven't realised yet that if you're PC illiterate, you're 21st century illiterate.
To the person who posted after. Actually it doesn't cost twice as much. Places like overclockers.co.uk charge roughly £20 more if you want them to build it, so no it doesn't cost twice as much ;) . It's what I'll probably have to do for my next build due to a medical condition
End of the day I think PC...Or at least Steambox, will be the future.
Maybe there will be another generation of consoles......But why? -
Yea it is indeed a good thing bud, it's just not ready.sjsharp2010 said:
that you did but then you do have moer favts to go on than the rest of us I'm glad it's been delayed though as I'd rather it be perfect when we do get our hands on it and also it frees up some money which I can now use elsewhere if I need to. Also gives me more time to clear my backlog a bit.Hughesy said:http://www.gamespot.com/articles/project-cars-delay-to-march-2015-confirmed/1100-6423015/

And yes F1 14 has mid race save, but as my MS wasn't too bad I manged to do a whole race. -
Yea don't get an AMD card, not only do they consume far more power they also run really hot and are nowhere near as good as a 970 or 980BobbyDeacs said:Great comments already guys. God sake there's some proper idiots in the F1 game section who either can't read or just well better not say on here....... -

No chance with new games.... I have a 780 and only run 1 monitor albeit at 1440p but it's going to start to struggle soon.couger1981 said:Another option is the GTX 770 4gb which should be able to run 3 monitors no problem. -
I really don't care what "critics" say, it's just someone's opinion. For me and some others on here who were all sceptical about this game, all love it. The way these turbo cars drive is awesome, and is easily the best of the series. It's funny how these review sites give Fifa a high rating year on year, yet there's only small changes each time. I love it and that's all I care about, and the fact some mates on here love it to. o:)AMS97KRR said:http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/f1-2014

Baa I was in front of Hamilton in Q3 by 0.079 but on his last lap he beat me by 0.150 :( Preparing for a good battle against him in the race now. I'm doing 100% race distance but probably won't be able to do it in one go. -
This is by far the best F1 game Codemasters have made! They really have nailed the feel of these turbo cars. I kept telling myself I wouldn't buy it as I thought it was made just for contractual reasons, but I was wrong and I'm sorry. o:)
I think they've improved the AI a lot, as they now fight for position more, I've already had some great long battles. I love the fact you can spin in 4th gear as its what the drivers have been saying this season. The fact this was made on last gen tech is even more impressive. The ai seem to be smarter than a lot of these "next gen" racing games. Yes it's not got awesome graphics, but it's not an ugly game either on PC.
FFB still isn't great, but it does feel better using my T500rs compared to my TX wheel (which Codies still haven't added support for) -

It all looks good apart from the gpu. That'll never be enough for 3 monitors. You should get an Nvidia 970 if you can, if not maybe save a bit more so that you can. Do you know what resolution the monitors are?
