You have pre-loads on consoles aswell bud ;)SASBlink said:Ahhh "pre-load", lol.
Im a console user, im not up to date with the pc lingo that you younglings use these days :P
Darn hipsters! :P -
No bud it's cheaper at GMG as there's a 25% off code if you look on the main page. Shopto sent me a message saying I'll get my code this evening which isn't great but I'll stick with them as the money would take a while to go back into my account...sjsharp2010 said:
I've asked for mine as well. I looked up greenmangaming and it's exactly the same price as on Steam so if that was the case I'd have been better going straight to Steam. Seeing as Shopto are selling it at the price I want it makes sense to stick with them I just hope they deliverHughesy said:
No bud. Did you send them another email explaining that the pre-load is live on Steam so you should have your code by now? I might see if I can get a refund as they have failed to give me a key, and then get it from greenmangaming.sjsharp2010 said:Still waiting for my code you got yours yet @Hughesy?
Edit: I've just sent them an email asking if I'll get my key today, and if not I've requested a refund as I want to preload it. -
Yes you can download it, that's what a pre-load is :pSASBlink said:Pre order is a bit dumb, I mean the shop is pretty crap if it runs out of the games that sell big amounts, right?
Question about steam, if you pre order though steam can you download it before the game comes out so you can play it the instant its released? or do you have to wait till release day then download it- wait for installation, bah blah blah - then play?
If you can download it beforehand though pre order then it makes pre order worth it. -

Don't think I have much "luck" to spare bud.SASBlink said:
I just got my first legendary loot.... Just by you mentioning luck you seemed to have passed me the lucky charm.Hughesy said:Nope not really, was all luck lol...
THANK YOU! <3
P,s i need you to mention luck again, I need you lucky skills, My master!
Ah crap I said it again, enjoy :p -
Silly that you get frame drops using a 980 and only running at 30fps, smacks of a very bad port. Glad it's starting to grow on you though bud. -
Yes of course bud :p ;)RevolvingPrawn said:

I bought it and it says complete but no code..... :( I haven't had an email yet though, wont be happy if I don't get to preload it.sjsharp2010 said:
well they did say that I'd have it by Friday I've tried clicking on the update key thing but all it does is refresh the page. No key no nothingHughesy said:
The membership level doesn't come into it bud. You should email them again as the pre load on Steam is already live so really you should have the key now. I might buy it in a bit so I'll let you know what happens. As they emailed you saying the key is available then they are required to give it to you now. ;)sjsharp2010 said:RevolvingPrawn said:
PC bud, I sold my 360 to buy my X1, mainly because I figured CM wouldn't be dumb enough to make F1 2014 for the 360, PS3, and PC only.Hughesy said:
Yea but I need to spend money to keep my gold membership on Shopto I think... Will you buy it for PC bud? If you do we could race, or would you get it for 360 for league racing?RevolvingPrawn said:
£19.99 on CJS CD Keys. Save another pound ;) I might buy it soon, but probably not until I've read reviews and heard what you guys think.Hughesy said:
Has your money been taken? On the orders section does it say completed? If so click on it and underneath the order there should be a download key, or a button that can be clicked that will say "update download key and link"sjsharp2010 said:Have you had trouble with Shopto downloads @Hughesy? I might actually buy it now as £21 isn't bad even though it won't be much different from '13Guess they were dumber than you thought :p But I think a few people fell into that trap. in my case I buy F1 on PC anyway so wasn't a problem

That's what I did as that seemed a reasonable price compared to £30 that I was seeing elsewhere. Yeah I found that update key thing but it didn't show any keys which I thought was a bit strange. I'm only a Bronze member so maybe I don't qualify for earlier service or something as they did say I'd have my key on Friday when I asked about it on a ticket

I agree, normally I don't get scared by movies or games but this one certainly does. The atmosphere is spot on. I watched the first movie again last night, then played the game at 2am and with all my screaming the neighbours probably thought I was being attacked.... :# As I wear Astro A50 headphones it makes it even more scary, especially when you hear those deep thumping footsteps!justbiglee said:
I can confirm it is scary as hell.sjsharp2010 said:
I watched @justbiglee play it the other day for a bit it's definitely a creepy game. I'm looking forward to trying it out for myself once I finally do get around to it but I'd definitely say that to me it looks very Doom like and I know Doom is scary in places even though you're armed to the teeth in that game.Hughesy said:I've found I can only play Alien Isolation for a short period, as I find it so intense :# Bravo to the team, as I don't scare easy. When you hear those footsteps coming you want to run really fast, but you can't as it'll hear you :# -
And it's cheaper for a season ticket at Real Madrid than it is for a Yeovil ST, go figure... It's why I didn't buy one this season. The prices have actually gone up even though we got relegated from the Championship, and they wonder why they get lower crowds this season....jordieDAFC said:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-29527838
Some rather interesting numbers...
Its cheaper for a season ticket at the Nou Camp than one for Annan Athletic who play in the lowest tier in Scotland.... -

M$ and $ony "apparently" are trying to force devs to make PC games at 30fps.... If this is true then that is very bad!

Thanks for being the Guinea pig bro :p I did say wait hehe. I'm enjoying watching Alien (the first one) as I haven't watched it in years (this is in the game thread as its linked to Alien Isolation lol) On a side note the Xbox One is much better at streaming Hi res movies than the PS4 :) -
You should also try Greenmangaming as they're awesome and always have deals or money off codes, Ive bought many many games from them ;)sjsharp2010 said:
yeah I've just found it for £21 on Shopto was thinking I'll stretch to that given iyt's just £1 off my range. And I know about Steam games anyway. When it comes to discs though I do tend to keep them anyway as they tensd to install faster off a disc when getting a disc version. It's just buying from some places on thee internet can be rather questionable I prefer to buy through reputable places like Amazon/Shopto or Game you know people who generally aer trustworthy. Even if it does mean I end up getting the game a day late I'd rather it appear a day late than not appear at all and wasting the £20-£30 that the game costs.Hughesy said:
You know you can buy digital from other places but still use steam right? You can get it from Shopto for £21 something (download version) ;) Also the disc version still uses Steam so once it's activated you never need the disc again o:)sjsharp2010 said:
same here I will get it eventually but I'm not paying £30 for it I'll probably wait till it's £20 or lower I know you can get it for less in some places but will wait till it's less on Steam or in the Steam sales as I'll only want a download copy. I'm not interested in a disc one. Besiedes I want to finish my 2010 career off before moving onto playing 2014 anyway. Although if I do get it earlier I may berak away to try a few races on the Red Bull ring and Sochi to familiarise myself with those tracks. I do know the RB ring it's just been a while since I raced it in an F1 game though.Hughesy said:Nope, which surprises me as I'm a sucker for F1. When I can get it for a good price then I will. The fact they are selling it at full price is silly imo... I can get it for £21 something which isn't too bad.
After playing Alien Isolation I wanted to watch the first Alien movie again. I couldn't find my DVD so had to rent it from XBL o:) -

RevolvingPrawn said:You can hold your breath?! For real? I had no idea lol. I know you can check the control scheme in the options though to see what's mapped to each button.
Haven't played much of The Evil Within yet, but so far it isn't scary at all. I mean it's ok, but nothing I'd call amazing. The screen ratio and FPS are best left at standard though, and even then the camera views seem too cramped. And there was far too much film grain effect dumped on the screen but luckily you can turn that off. So far I'd say it's not worth spending full Steam price on, but I paid about £11 less and I don't really feel ripped off.
Oh, and when you set the ratio and FPS with the console, you have to set it every single time you load up the game. Really can't be bothered to do that!
Yea that's what I thought bud, which is why I'll leave it as it is if/when I buy it. Yea you can hold your breath as I've seen loads of threads mentioning it, but even looking at the control scheme I cant see it...lol -
