  1. Hello everyone, I thought I would write about some issues with the game after running it for a week on the standard PS4.

Firstly, the textures in the graphics of the game on this console are loading really slowly and some are never really up to spec as they should be, helmet decals, gloves, car etc. Now I know that the standard PS4 is getting a bit old in terms of working at 60fps with a game of 2020, but still, that can easily be fixed with some patches, like in F1 2018, so that the game is best optimised for each console.

Finally, some tracks need a coupe of fixes to resemble real life, such as the curbs in Austria and the texturing on all circuits.

    Thank you for your time!

  2. I really hope that for the future Codemasters WRC games, the Evolution Studios guys can have some effects and features from the older WRC games they made back in the early 2000s. For example something like the unexpected moments from WRC Rally Evolved, or the start/ending ceremony from these games. Also, it would be cool if they added a Historical Events mode in the game, just like the one in MotoGP20.

  3. Just praying for more manufacturers to have joined the WRC by 2023 (Subaru, VW, Citroen, Peugeot, Mitsubishi etc). And for some classic rallies to be part of the championship like the Acropolis Rally(The proper stages in Fthiotis f.e. SS Tarzan, not the **** they ran in Argolis), San Remo(SS Langan), Safari Rally etc. With the WRC licence they can surely do many things the could not do before, so I am expecting big things.

  4. With the Dirt rally 2.0 Dlc and patch support coming to an end as soon as Dirt 5 GETS released, will there be Any more patches or surprises to Come in the following months? Maybe New audio for a coupe of cars, or even New cars, and some animation and graphical patches?

    Thanks

Dirt Rally 2.0 is making me spend incredible moments with the community

Now in order, it seems to me that it is time for the clubs to admit to competing in various categories together (that is, a race between users with R5 and R2 for example).

The mixed class rallies is all that DR2 needs to be left for good as a complete and truly fascinating video game experience. This and a few last patches to fix some glitches or small animation issues, maybe record the real Lancer Group A and Lancer R4 sounds and that's it.

It would be really interesting to host a rally in clubs and have R5, R4 and Group A cars racing each other for top honours for example.... Surely on slow gravel rallies the performance is very similar. 🤔

I remember the days when the WRC titles were developed by Evolution Studios. So much fun!

Wait... Hang on... I remember reading something about Evolution Studios devs...

OH OOOH OOOOOOOOOH! They're at Codemasters now working on future titles! SCORE!!!

I wish you are correct here, because I had the Best times of my life with WRC II Extreme  all the way up to WRC Rally Evolved. I mean, Who doesnt miss hitting retired cars on the road, or avoiding falling rocks from cliffsides? That's what unexpected moments is all about.

I wasn't confused at your message, I was confused about the volume 😉

If Scotland needs another audio update that'll have to wait until 1.15, but I'll pass it on.

The Subaru gearbox still shows "Manual-Sequential" instead of "Manual" and in all cars while turning, the driver is stuck changing gear for as long as you are turning the steering wheel.

    Write these down for 1.15

  8. Because I think I started all this mess by asking for the DR2 handling model to be available in the New game😬, I wanted to say that whatever the handling model is, as far as you can understand what the car is doing and have no problems adapting to the controls, the main thing is for the game to be fun and exciting like Colin Mcrae Dirt 2 and DiRT 3. If it is really good then handling will not be an issue.

Because anyway, I am expecting a thrilling rally simulation by Codies in the future by the name of DiRT Rally 3.

So yeah there is no point in arguing about certain things that we are going to find out very very soon.

  9. I just hope for the new DiRT game is innovative in some areas, like using older stages from Colin McRae rally games , for the Rally locations in the new game.

Or even the return of Trailblazer and Raid Rally

But the same handling as DR2.0 refined , even as an option

  10. I believe the logo marks a transition from the old to the New, from Dirt Rally 2.0 to a New style game, possibly arcadish, but nonetheless a New installment in the series. Would Love it to be a reboot of Colin Mcrae Dirt 2 or Dirt 3(but with the same music😉) like they did with the Grid Series

Yup, the lightning is quite a strong hint in my view. The problem with that is, though, that hybrid is coming to WRC, so they won't be in DiRT Rally. I haven't read anything about hybrid coming to R5/Rally2, at least not in 2022.

Indeed its quite interesting🤔. Let's wait until Thursday to see more news!

The only bad things I can think of are tarmac physics and too forgiving damage model, even with hardcore damage on. Everything else is spot on, best rally game that came after RBR.

I agree 100%. The damage model especially can be really enchanced

Lets say for example you are driving in Greece or Argentina you cut a corner and there is a nusty hole or Rock in there. If you are going really fast the suspension breaks etc.

More Rallies would be nice ,but I personally think Codies should extend further from the ""One Long Stage split into smaller parts"" concept. Each stage in a rally should be a different one ,varying in length from 7 kms up to 25-30 kms. If they decide to do this with real life stages to replicate into the game , I suggest the following

Greece : New stages in Lamia, like the legendary "Karoutes", "Pavliani" and "Elatia-Rengini" stages.

New Zealand : More stages in the same location

    USA : LSPR stages

Germany : Moselland in the vineyards would be really apreciated

Wales : Great Orme or Myherin is cool

    Sweden : Sagen stage

    Australia : Bunnings stage

And lets not forget the crossover\Super Special stages.

New locations : Japan (Tarmac) , San Remo , Safari Rally Kenya(Pre-2002), Ireland, Portugal.

All these with new tarmac physics and a new gravel surface model.
