There's also a bug where if you join during a qualifying results or qualifying session, when it ends you see no graphics, you're just locked to an empty pit lane with maybe one or two cars on the grid.   2. VoiceMeeter is DirectX compatible, dxdiag explicitly includes it as a sound device. NB that I mentioned the Steam Streaming Speakers, which is also a virtual audio device, is enumerated by the game. I feel this should be categorised as a bug, not a feature request. F1 2019 and 2020 are the only games I've found recently which aren't able to enumerate the VoiceMeeter devices in the audio settings. Every other game with a voice comms feature is able to select them.

If this is by design then it's (IMO) unhelpful and very frustrating given how long it takes to join a session - and given the ranked session interface shows no session list, only an option for 5 laps or 25% races. The matchmaking system should not propose sessions where you are unable to join as a player, it should disambiguate somehow. I know if you're in a race and disconnect, you can rejoin and resume control of your vehicle - if you didn't start the race session, it should at least do something like show an interstitial prompt.   4. 1. A description of the issue. Joining a ranked session can often end up with you being dropped in to a session in progress during qualifying or qualifying results. As a result, you cannot join the next session as a player. Instead, you are forced into Spectator mode.   6. For the past few days, every time I try to sign in to RaceNet, do a RaceNet Challenge or edit our team settings, it just shows "Connection Failed" after a few seconds. I don't see my clan tags and I can't select my RaceNet Livery. I can play multiplayer OK, but having no RaceNet is frustrating and my achievements and XP probably aren't tracking... PC is Windows 7 Pro, no system changes since first getting the game.
  7. For the past few days, I've also been unable to sign in to Racenet in-game at all. I can play online no problems, but I can't use my Racenet livery nor can I do any of the challenges, see leaderboards etc.
  8. Did some single player Endurance races this evening - and remembered how utterly infuriating the AI is. We've had various patches now and yet the AI is still blind to your progress - and will merrily plough straight into you if you (for example) spin on the racing line, even if they're five hundred yards away! They're utterly crazy into first corners - braking unnecessarily early and either kamikaze throwing themselves towards the apex or crashing into each other.   10. It'd be a *very* useful addition to the game to be able to do demorecs. It'd make it child's play to submit evidence of suspected online cheating (never mind the game video opportunities...)

It's difficult to see, but the majority of those spins in the video were due to the car I'd passed clipping me because they were rigidly following the racing line and not adjusting at all to give me a car's width. That's a standard racing technique, watch any iRacing (or IRL) oval video on YouTube for examples. In cases where I'd overtake around the last part of a turn, the AI should be clever enough to have realised I had the position and yielded it to me.   17. So engine rev indicator LEDs don't work on my G27 with GAS. I'm changing gear by engine sound, but visual indicators are great and enhance the realism. Even FanaLEDs won't give me anything with GAS, which is disappointing. @Codies, what did you alter in the EGO engine that broke it? They've worked fine for me in the F1 games... Or was it a deliberate choice not to include?

  19. I *did* have the FFB problem with F1 2012 on my new PC (i7 4770k, GTX770) where it would go from zero FFB to full lock in one direction, then zero, then full lock in the other direction. I read many things online, most of which seemed to indicate that the game engine couldn't cope with excessive bursts in framerate (or somesuch similar) and the only solution was to force VSync. Surprise surprise, with VSync on, FFB works perfectly in 2012. With my G27 and identical driver version on my old machine, it didn't do anything like this... Wanted to update you to let you know that after trying many things, a full deletion and reinstallation of GRID2 from Steam seems to have solved the problem. Bizarre, because an integrity check didn't reveal any corrupt files... The VSync tip did let me resolve a screen tearing issue though, which was a bonus.

I agree with others, and I wish I could change my vote to "dumb and aggressive" -- they simply fail to acknowledge your existence and will therefore try and take a racing line which effectively runs through your car. You can guess what happens when your car meets the AI car. On lower difficulty levels, AI is timid into corners, slow and aggressive. On hardest difficulty levels, AI is fast, obnoxious and aggressive. Actually, it's downright Mad Max crazy. I don't think I'm going to play much more career if they don't modify the AI behaviour with a patch, which is incredibly disappointing.
  22. I agree with your sentiments and that's how I race online (and on real tracks). Oval racing tends to not have the pack braking into T1 though from a rolling start ;-) Likewise, I got a platinum time on first go -- but decided to push for a faster time after checking the leaderboards. My driving got a bit ragged by the end of it because I was so frustrated. (I didn't include a lot of clips of the AI simply being stupid and ramming me or barging me into the wall because I just restarted the challenge immediately).   23. Some of the goals for bronze/silver/gold/platinum targets are WILDLY unachievable. For example, the Demolition Derby has me in 21st place on the world leaderboards and there's only a few tenths between me and #1 ...   24. I have the ABS and Traction Control on, and the Stability Control off. With that set up the car feels very good. I get a 1st place on medium when I race (and medium is challenging). I also have the race distance on X5 so that the race has more time to play out. Also if you have it on X5 the AI will get wear and tear on their cars, then you go for the overtake. I was experimenting with TC and ABS on and off for various cars yesterday.
