100% is for me the only race length I use which is the most interesting regarding pit stop and tire wear. As I use no flashback and no assist, I lower the AI level.

Thanks for your reply. I was not thinking of players seeing the SC, I was addressing to those who never see a SC since the beginning of the career. Future will tell me, but rather strange not having SC on 30 races and suddenly...

In the pits, when you are sitting in your car preparing to go to track, there is a guy singing all the time (1,2,3,4,...). Could you please ask him to shut up or leave the pits?

That’s what I did because I think AI is in full damage not simulation.

I set my PS4 in English to set the game in English too (only possibly) and this did not solve the problem BUT... Before I was not able to get any safety car in 30 races although there were a lot of mechanical failures and cars stopped at dangerous spots and now the game is in English, after 27 laps in Brazil, the SC came out for a mechanical failure for the first time!!! Coincidence?

I totally agree with you during the qualifications or races but in practice I don’t know how to manage the AI when you are in my in or out lap. You let them overtake and when you slow down they play with you slowing down too. You have no choice than overtaking them again and then they race (in practice session). The worst (and this is because I use flashback only then) is when you receive a 5 places grid penalty. I don’t know how to manage that (except going to the garage straight away by the menu). I want to make my in lap to preserve my tires.

I never try but if you choose the hardest compounds before the weekend, ...

Choosing the overall language of the game on console (PS4) without setting your console in another language would be great. I have Jeff speaking in English but I speak French to him. Weird? Thanks.

Speaking of info, do you use a telemetry software? It should be useful in your case to compare laps between practice, qualifications and race. Without such a tool, it’s very difficult to judge why you are slower during the race (on some tracks apparently). This could be so many things, ...

That’s right. You can see every race result in your career but no history on qualifications. Only thing you can see is your average starting position. It would be a nice suggestion to have a comparison between you and your team mate at the start of qualifications.

Perfectly right. That’s why you should compare race top speed with practice, not with qualifications. Even so, on practice you still have DRS while in race not always. For me nothing wrong, weight, fuel mix, ers mode and DRS could explain those figures.

The race top speed was registered when I pit for soft tires 8 laps before the end of the race. In practice, during sprinter program, my top speed was 339. This makes 14 km/h difference. You should compare your race time with the practice time because in qualifications you have a minimum of fuel and you have the famous party mode (max fuel mix).

Thanks for your feedback. A video is essential to see where the cars are stopped when they retired. This is the only way to prove that something is wrong. Cars stopped on dangerous locations never provoke a safety car for some users while cars stopping very safely will always provoke a SC period. 2 years ago, I had no SC, last year in f1 2019 I had SC and this year again no SC. if everyone posts a video, we can compare spots where cars are stopped and if a SC was necessary (or not).

I looked at telemetry for me at Mexico. Q: top speed 342 km/h R: top speed 325 km/h I think this mainly due to fuel weight. I’m running 100% race distance.

I never use flashbacks during the race because if you play online you will not have this opportunity and I think this is more realistic. Unfortunately, during practice and qualifying sessions I’m almost obliged to use one from time to time because of the AI managing their in and out lap. I know this is AI and you cannot ask them to think but they really are driving like chicken without heads (catching you on their out lap, overtaking then blocking you, ...). Sometimes you receive unfair 5 places penalties when playing with them. There was an option in previous years (some time ago) that limits the number of flashbacks to use. Could maybe be reintroduced when you select Elite assist (1,2 or 3 flashbacks for a weekend).
