In all practice sessions, qualifications and race, the screen with XP earned is shown before the results! Please why? Do you think everyone is interested in XP for buying gadgets? I’m more interested at looking at the result of the session first and this should easily be implemented. Thank you.

As the player in career cannot have mechanical failures (should really be implemented CM), some use the DRS failure to retire from race and balance with the AI risking one.
-
AI have a few mechanical failures during the races (1,2 even 3 per race) but as a player you never encounter this. I change a component to my engine between 2 practice session and had a hydraulic leak which cost me 7 minutes to get repaired and continue. This is realistic but never happens during the race (except a temporary DRS failure). Why could’nt you have mechanical failures and force you to retire? (This of course could be disabled in menu). Thanks CM.

You should try removing assist one at a time. There are a lot of video on YouTube giving you tips to do it. You should first try to learn the track, every corner, every apex and braking points by watching other videos and progressively removing the racing line (only on corners, then off). Keep progressing and be patient, you cannot expect racing without assist in a short period of time.

Thanks for the info

Where did you read this? I personally think that a 75% race distance would be much more useful.
-
I don’t know what you mean but it don’t think that it has to do with all assist off. If you are speaking about doing an undercut, there are a few things to consider. You should really push hard on in and out lap and you can lose much time when pitting trying to brake at the pit entry. Undercut does not always mean winning a place. It’s a matter of strategy for me but difficult to answer without much info but not a question of assist.

Do you have examples in video? On which tracks? Modern F1 are really difficult to overtake due to dirty air and if you set your difficulty level right, you should have difficulties overtaking even weaker cars. That said, if you feel there is an issue, please fill in the official bug report in the correct section of this forum.

Message to everyone related to SC bug. It seems you meet the SC every race or never. The only way to fix this issue is posting a video with the official bug report in the correct section of this forum, either to show a SC is needed in a particular circumstance or to show that the SC was out for no good reason. I know it’s very demanding to all of us but comparing bug report and far more important here videos, we could then prove that for the same situation you have 2 different scenarios, and that the SC feature is inconsistent. If we don’t do that, unfortunately, we can continue talking about it but this issue won’t be fixed. Thank you to all who posted a bug video.

You must start the race with the tires set used for the fastest lap in Q2 if you manage to go to Q3. if you don’t manage to go to Q3 or by wet conditions, you are free to choose your tires set. In your example, Verstappen and Hamilton use medium tires. You should have taken a screenshot at the end of Q2 because without it we don’t know which compound they use to qualify to Q3.

Hi, Could you please fill in the official bug report template and add a video or screenshot of the issue in order for CM to investigate. Thanks.

Unless you want to invest to a direct drive wheel, which is also very expensive, I think F1 Playseat is a better choice. Consider at least twice the price (and this not cheap) compared to a classic fob wheel with a F1 Playseat.

That’s because TC before f1 2020 was not realistic at all. I had a post with Vettel at Silverstone on turn 4 who spun and sus that it is not realistic. The way it’s implemented this year makes a huge difference and is very near to IRL according to real pilots.

The amount of energy harvested during the current lap. -
I think that normally at the end of a season, when you choose the number of races, you are able to enable/disable transfers. I remember having seen such a parameter at the end or beginning of a season.
-
Yeh quite impressive even when you take it with a small Renault Clio RS, you really feel your stomach mate. I know F1 take it flat out but it should be something really cool. So if AI has a different setup per track, this could not explain the differences.
-
The AI does not perform equally on every track but we don’t either! Our driving style, our knowledge of the track, our way to brake and chain good corners, our personal preferences (I hate Monaco, Hanoi and Singapore and therefore have no interest of improving there, I removed them from the calendar), all this make a difference. I have the opportunity to drive IRL at Spa and being a Belgian I really love this circuit. I could raise my 80 level to 95 for this track. I know this track very well and I am very quick there. You are going to tell me: which driving style suits better the AI? I don’t know but one thing needs to be considered: setups! A setup is personal. Maybe you don’t get the good setup for a particular track that suits your driving style. Speaking of setup, I’ve heard that the AI has a default setup. Is this setup adapted for every race and does it suit the driving style of the AI? This maybe an explanation why they perform differently on some tracks. Just an idea.

Perfect explanation. -
I don’t know if this is a bug or by design. Try posting on bug forum with the official report.

Drivers do not attempt a second attempt in qualifying

Please use the official bug template -
That’s what I’am talking about. CM wants video footage to investigate I don’t know how they did not encounter any issue with the SC during the tests but anyway, let’s post official bug reports to prove the SC feature is buggy (the word is weak). Patch 1.07 fixes some issues but not all believe me.

I set transfers off too because last year the implementation was a complete mess, drivers changing from teams every 4 races. I even saw Hamilton switching to Williams on season 1. I agree with you although for me I stay at the same team and try to improve.
-
I agree with you. I left my AI difficulty to 80 and found that everyone has a different delta from his base difficulty. Some love a particular track, other hate it. You are good at some tracks, not as good at others. Your driving style (the way you brake, essentially) and some tracks don’t go well together. Your setup and knowing every corner of a track helps. I don’t think there is so much difference. When I realize I’m really slower (generally I’m very close to my team mate) than my team mate, I use telemetry to see where I could gain some time and it helps. This is the way you progress for me. This is my opinion. Generally the acclimatization practice program (don’t know if it is named like this, the one with the gate) is a good indicator.
-
Could you all please post an official bug report in the bug section using the official template and posting a video. We all know the SC is buggy but this is the only way to hope changing things.

Safety Car never out (Bernd Maylander sleeping?)

Totally agree but the lack of reaction from them is irritating if like they are ignoring it.
