    Calling all programmers.

A month after 2014's release and after sales have dwindled to nothing, will CM allow access to it's five year-old code?  2015 is all new code from what I understand and the current code has more than paid for itself.  Will CM allow enterprising modders access to the code so that they may program the AI to go exceed the track limits during the first lap of any race?  As it is, the AI tries to follow too narrow a path in to the first few corners of the race, creating large gaps for the player to exploit.  I believe this is because the AI is restricted to stay within track limits, when a real driver would push and sometimes exceed those limits to avoid a collision.  If the AI's track limits were increased by 15% for one lap only and had the track limits re-instated for the rest of the race, I believe a vast improvement would be made.  I'm just asking for the chance to test this theory.

    Announcing F1 2015

It would be nice to see a more transparent/open development phase in the future.  More and more software houses seem to be adopting the limited/open beta testing approach.  Maybe licensing restrictions prevent this.  Evolve or die.

    Announcing F1 2015

Is there any manual control in the pit-lane? Can the Safety-car come out on the first lap?

What we need in F1 2015

Today there was a Safety-car on the first lap of the first race of the 2015 Season.  If there's no SC available on the first lap in the game, I won't be buying it.

    Patch confirmation?

Yep, that's how real evil works.

    Mechanical failures?

That's right, my guess is that it will probably be released about half way through the season. I was just trying to give the kid hope.  His parents should save their money for a next gen console or maybe even a PC (if they want him to grow-up to be real man ;0)

    Mechanical failures?

No, there are no improvements in this area or any other.  Tell you parents to save their money for F1 2015, which is out in the Spring.
  8.  I'm enjoying watching your races Ryan.  I don't have the game myself, as I was waiting for a Patch that doesn't look like it's going to materialise :(  That's a shame because, as demonstrated by you in Malaysia , the AI have too much grip in the wet, back-off too easily when along side, don't appear to suffer tyre wear and a myriad of other problems.  If a Patch took care of those things, we'd be looking at an amazing game.  Cheers mate.

    Patch confirmation?

I refer you to the post from aktisti above.
  10. Go on Steve Hood's Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/T4RG4 You will see that solving the issues you've listed is top priority.

    Patch confirmation?

It sure doesn't look like it.  That's why I have asked for CM to give us access to the code so we can fix it ourselves.  It's a 5+ year-old engine and they've got their money's worth out of it.  They have a new one for 2015.  What harm can it do?

Wet Weather transitions are much improved!

It'd be great if you could post a video of one of these dynamic weather races.

    Safety car start of race

You cannot have a SC on the first or last lap.

F1 2014 braking is like ABS turned on

I haven't bought the game yet. I am waiting to see if the patch takes care of this braking issue. Has anybody tried a Brake-assistance (abs)with/without test? Just wondering if there's any difference.  It may be locked on.

No spinning wheels? Wait, ....gotta laugh!

If the 'unwanted braking-assist issue' and the 'control-pad advantage' are addressed in a Patch,  we could be on to a winner.

    F1 2014 Understeer City!

This is a major issue.  Thank you for discovering this Keeno.  Clearly many are playing without realising Assists are still in effect.  That is why we're getting conflicting reports about grip levels etc.  I have heard some complain that they can't get the wheels to lock-up under braking, even in the wet.  This is obviously what's happening.
  20. To the Community:  I am only intersted in watching your videos if you have dynamic weather and the Safety- car switched on. Otherwise it's boring to watch.
  21. Let's hope EA get the license again and make a competing product. Competition will drive both parties to excell.
  22. Who uses a pad to play a Formula One game? There are plenty of 'driving' games for those people. Mario Kart etc.

PC Gamer - "Never before has Codemasters delivered something so closely resembling a free download from a community modding site." Yeah, what's your point?
