  1. Dear Codemaster,

    I am a formula 1 fan with a new gen console that will wait for 2015 to finally get my hands on a F1 game. I am writing on this forum expecting for codemaster to take on consideration my personal advice for the next gen console game success. The reason I am writing is because of my last experience of this game F1 2013 you guys bring a new concept and I want to emphasize of keeping developing that and more ideas that could help this game be more complete. So here are a couple of recommendations;

    -     In terms of graphics, Definitely the game needs an OVERHAUL.  The 2013 F1 game uses the same graphics from the 2012 game except from a few details. But overall they can improve. For the 2014 game, I see the same graphics from 2013 with another slightly change. Do not misunderstand, It looks good. But common, you guys can do better than that. This game can be in terms of graphics, equivalent or better than  Gran Turismo or Forza. All the tracks should look exactly the same from each of the angles when you drive through. All the bumps, the grass, the marbles, the tires, corner apex, etc. Just improve the arcade look of the game and also concentrate on a more realistic look of it.

    -     In  terms of realism on gameplay, another area of improvement. I know this is a simulation game but if we start from there, a lot of things can still improve. For example, the so famous and strategically pit stop. Try to give us a more realistic cinematic. Also try to add to the game something like pushing a bottom quickly for a faster pit stop, something like that and make the people look more realistic cause they look so animated that doesn’t feel real at all. The marbles on the track, they don’t feel real, you can barely see the marbles while racing and also need to improve the accumulation of marbles on the track while the laps increase. Also the DRS and ERS doesn’t feel quite right as well as the tire degradation. The bumps and the apex on each track is also another area of improvement. As well as the adjustments and the feeling of the car bumping around or trying to find some traction on the track while racing. Some stuff like that could give a bit of improvement on that realistic side of the game.

    -     I totally loved the fact that you can race in other tracks. Giving the opportunity to the gamer to race on older Formula 1 tracks from 1990’s, 80’s,70’s, 60’s and even earlier 2000’s it’s a great IDEA. Give us the tracks and the racing legends!!!.. Open DLC’s and stuff like that. I would buy a complete DLC if you do that. Imagine how many people are willing to see Ayrton Senna against Allan Fhrost or even Haunt and Nikki Lauda. There are so many legends on the sport that you guys can include on this game and so many cars. Please consider this for the next gen game.

    I just want a realistic game, and a game that can attract new fans. Not just a racing game. Give us a game that could teach this young generation about the history of the sport. Feel the passion for the sport. You can also include Formula E,  Formula 2, Formula 3. That will also give a new spin to the game as well as support for a smaller division of the sport.  I will appreciate your consideration. Sorry for my criticism of previous games. I am a gamer and consider myself a good fan of the sport. I know you guys can get this game into another level.

    Regards,

    Jose
