  1. Having a report code log with session times would be great since there is currently no way to get a report code for a previous session if the game crashes, which seems to happen randomly, at least on Xbox consoles.

Since this is related to bug reporting, I'm posting it here even though it's a suggestion so that it hopefully doesn't get buried with the other hundreds of unrelated suggestions.

By crashes do you mean in-game collisions or the game crashing? There were almost surely some collisions during the race. The game did not crash. I joined the lobby so I was not host at the beginning, but I can't say anything 100% sure about host migrations or about people leaving or joining. I usually skip the podium cutscene, so the time between me winning the race on-track and this results screen showing up was only a few seconds.

  3. Description: An AI won an Unraked race by doing 1 lap less. As you can see from the screenshot, the interval between me and 1st place is the time I needed to finish the 5th lap after Lando Norris finished his 4th. I led the race from start to finish, except for maybe around turn 1 on lap 1. The timing during the race was correct. This happened after I crossed the finish line.

Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox One X)

    Game version: 1.13

    Game mode: Unranked

    Connection type: wireless

Number of players in session: ~10 players + ~10 AI

How to replicate issue: It seems random.

    Workaround: N/A

Aren't report codes unique for each session? I don't think there is any way I could have got the report code, since the game just froze and crashed to the dashboard, without any error from the game or console. I seem to be getting quite a few random issues while playing on XSX, like the other one I reported where the audio cut out completely while navigating the menus in TT and then the game crashed to the dashboard, also without any errors. I've also seen cars moving away from the grid while players were still loading in an Unranked race, which has happened more than once, and I also have screenshots, but these issues seem so random I don't know if it's worth reporting all of them.

  6. @BarryBL

I noticed the game seems to save the settings every time when backing out of menus, even when no changes were made. Even with those settings reset and auto-saved by the XSX, they still show up correctly on the XOX. Could this be some kind of sync-related issue? I tried syncing back and forth between the XOX and XSX and the XOX always shows them correctly, while the XSX resets them on every start of the game, without actually saving them when quitting the game.

  7. @BarryBL

I've updated the first post with more details. This one is really weird. I started my save on the XOX, set those settings, and eventually synced it to the XSX. Without changing any settings at all, on the XSX those 4 always reset when starting the game, but if I sync the save back to my XOX, they always appear to be set properly even though they were reset on the XSX. It's like those settings are always saved, but the XSX can't read them and just reverts to the defaults, without affecting the actual save.

  8. Description: When starting the game, the Overtake setting resets to "Toggle". Other settings that also reset are: Permanent Session Timer (P/Q), Virtual Rear View Mirror, Mute By Default (Multiplayer). This only happens on the Xbox Series X. Syncing a save between XSX and XOX always shows those setting as correct even though they were reset on the XSX. The settings that are getting reset only save during the play session, but when the game quits, they aren't actually saved.

Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox One X)

    Game version: 1.13

How to replicate issue: Set Overtake to "Hold". Quit game. Start game. Overtake resets to "Toggle" and some other settings reset as well.

    Workaround: N/A

  9. Description:

    1. On the race results screen in Unranked, after hitting "View gamercard" on a player, the game froze and after a minute or so crashed. There were no errors.

    2. After quitting an Unranked lobby that emptied while I was returning to the lobby screen, the game froze and crashed immediately. There were no errors.

Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox One X)

    Game version: 1.13

    Game mode: Unranked

    Connection type: wireless

Number of players in session: ~10 players

How to replicate issue: It seems random.

  10. Description: There is a lot of crackling when around other cars and the audio output is set to Dolby Atmos. It only happens when playing audio through the TV speakers or HDMI ARC, but not when playing through HDMI EARC, so it seems it is caused by the Dolby Digital+ compression.

Platform: Xbox Series X || Xbox One X

    Game version: 1.13

How to replicate issue: Enable Dolby Atmos output and play audio using a lossy format, such as via the TV speakers on a Dolby Atmos-capable TV, by plugging directly into a sound system that supports Dolby Atmos but not lossless audio or through HDMI ARC using a Dolby Atmos-capable sound system. There will be lots of crackling when close to other cars.

Workaround: Avoid using lossy Dolby Atmos (via Dolby Digital+). Use HDMI EARC or connect the console directly to a lossless Dolby Atmos-capable sound system.

  11. Description: Sometimes when loading into a TT session, a very long (~5 min) or infinite loading screen occurs. Once I waited more than 15 minutes before quitting the game.

Platform: Xbox Series X || Xbox One X

    Game version: 1.13 (also 1.12)

How to replicate issue: Load into TT. It seems that changing cars and tracks repeatedly increases the chances of this occurring. In one play session, it happened every time I switched cars or tracks 3 times in a row without exiting TT mode. It might have something to do with the online services, as I don't recall encountering this issue when playing offline.

  12. Description: When using Quick Resume on Xbox Series X (and probably S as well), sometimes the menu music cuts out when resuming into the game. Loading into a session after this occurs also takes very long sometimes. This might affect older titles as well, including F1 2019, F1 2018 etc.

Platform: Xbox Series X (and probably S as well)

    Game version: 1.12

How to replicate issue: While in the menus of F1 2020, switch between multiple games with Quick Resume on Xbox Series X. When returning to F1 2020, sometimes the menu music cuts out. It seems to be random with a ~50% chance of it happening. The number of games that have been switched using Quick Resume might affect this, but I can't say for sure. It is possible that the game disconnecting from the online services when using Quick Resume might have something to do with this.

Workaround: Loading into a session and returning to the menus makes the menu music play again.

    Peripherals: Xbox Series X controller

  13. Since in F1 2020 tyre pressures are extremely important and require a setup for each track in both dry and wet conditions, the amount of setups you can end up if you want to be competitive on all tracks is very high: 26 tracks * 2 weather conditions * 3 car categories = 156 setups. Therefore, it would be nice if you could have them split into tabs by category and weather condition, ending up with 6 tabs:

    - F1 2020 - dry

    - F1 2020 - wet

    - Classic cars - dry

    - Classic cars - wet

    - F2 - dry

    - F2  - wet

  14. Are the 1-11 values for aero and springs absolute or relative to each track and / or each car? And if they are absolute, why does it seem like 11-11 aero has less drag at Monza than at higher downforce tracks? For example, in F1 2019 - Time Trial - Italy - Mercedes, the default setup with 11-11 aero tops at 315 KM/H, while in Mexico it tops at 308 KM/H.

It seems like most people on reddit believe they are relative to each track, but there are still many that believe they are absolute.

Also, why does the game not show actual values for those settings? Is it because the teams don't want attributes that are specific to each car to be shown in the game?
