"Kebab" is actually a broad term for a number of meat dishes, though it is most typically associated with doner meat: donor is the big elephant leg of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Kebab pizza is a regular pizza with donor meat on top!

Seeing a lot of RX fans discuss a move to WRX from Ogier. It's where the big-name competititors are at the moment! Would love to see that happen. World Champions everywhere, especially if JB decides he fancies a pop at RX too. WRX: where retired WRC champions go... old folks home for WRC  Could be worse: could be the GRC where all the retired extreme athletes go. ;) I wish I could be more of a fan .. my heart is in stage rally "its not the destination, its the road getting there" . I struggle to pick a fave: rally was the first motorsport that truly excited me and I still love it now, but rallycross is so much more accessible (and the cars are absolute weapons). Wait until you've seen some proper rallycross action live, then see how you feel... Oh yeah, VW, I wonder if dropping out has anything to do with dieselgate? There will be a huge chunk of change that will be paid out for that, and usuallys factory motorsports suffer first. I would say that the direction shift of the Audi and VW motorsport programs is a direct consequence of dieselgate. The cost is likely to run into billions and, as you say, motorsport commitments always suffer first. WRC: I hope everyone doesn't jump to MSport or DMack I really don't want to see more Fords out there. Not hating on Ford, but they are over saturating the market. Could we have Audi back or Nissan? I would cry with Joy if Subaru could come back, too bad the rules keep the door shut on them. Variety is nice, but its very expensive to manufactures and Subaru is doing very well without WRC. Given that the new cars have to be factory run I don't think we are likely to see an over-saturation of any one marque next year. As for Subaru: are the rules shutting the door on them, or are the brand failing to move with the times? I appreciate the regulations were different at the time, but the Impreza was conceived with rallying in mind: despite the motorsport heritage the company have, I can't imagine them doing anything like that now. -
Chips? wat Kebab meat and chips... ...absolutely superb when you are totally smashed, but horrendous when you are sober!

And I assume you are being sarcastic since 'fibs' don't result in a company spending $14700000000 in a single country to buy back 7 years worth of products they knowingly, willfully and illegally modified in order to make near-obsolete technology seem competitive in the marketplace. How many other cars are out there on the market with fiddled figures behind them? How many other cars are out there that don't deliver on the promises made in the brochure or on the test track? The only difference between those and VW, is that VW have been caught out. There have been numerous automotive fiddles discovered in the past and I'm sure there are plenty more out there. "Dieselgate" is surely going to be the most expensive one to date though. -
Yeah. Like donor kebab meat and chips, I wonder if I will need to be drunk in order to really appreciate it.

I didn't know about kebabpizza until about 15 seconds ago: now I badly want one in my life.

Most invitees don't know yet. :) Thanks for the confirmation! Will the lucky few be viewing something this year, or will it be next year? Nice try Steve! Shhhhh @Rallycameraman, I'm trying to trick @ChristinaMc into giving more information out...

Yeah, because VW are the only manufacturer who have fibbed about an automobile on sale... ...the timing is a bit crap, but the lineups at M-Sport and Toyota are still pretty open, so I think that at least some of the VW crews will get picked up. -

Its looking like 60+. Current WRCars are quoted as being in the region of 310 to 320 BHP. 2017 engines are expected to produce 380 BHP with the enlarged restrictor: and that's the official figure, which is nearly always conservative... ...the big unknown is the torque produced by the new engines. Current engines are (officially) around 340 Ft Lbs. I wonder how much more they will squeeze out of them next year. -

The 2017 WRCars cannot be run by privateers. I could end up eating my words, but I'm 99.9% sure we won't see Ogier in a VAG car in 2017. At least not in rally anyway... ;) I think i saw that too, i think it's dumb tbh. I wonder if there are safety concerns with regards to the new cars. It looks like the next generation of WRCars are going to be stupidly quick and the last time that the governing body of World Rally put "stupidly quick" cars into the hands of anyone who could afford them it ended badly. Perhaps they will relax that element of the regulations in the future. -

Ha! I thought it was just me who was thinking that an awful lot of people seemed to be overly worried about the menus! I do agree that the menu(s) in DiRT 2 looked very stylish, though they were a little clunky in places and could have been a little more intuitive. Personally I prefer simple, stripped back, menus, so I can spend the minimum time finding what I want and the maximum time racing. CMR 2005 sticks out in my mind as good, as the front end was very simple, though you did get a visual representation of the car at select points. Something a little more involved in the next title would be a nice detail, but if the menus from DR were recycled in order to enable the team to spend more time elsewhere it wouldn't bother me in the slightest!

World Champions everywhere, especially if JB decides he fancies a pop at RX too. JB seems to be a strong rumour at the moment, though I'm on the fence with that one: although his family name is established in rallycross I have never really warmed to Jensen (perhaps moving away from F1 will change that though). Also the last time a big F1 star appeared in rallycross, they were a massive disappointment! Ogier is an interesting consideration. With a rallycross test drive already under his belt and Audi on the fence with a decision for EKS in the future, a move from Ogier might persuade them to put some money in to rallycross. -

Yeah, but next years Champion will always be "the guy that won because Ogier had no drive that year"... ...the more I think about it the more annoyed I get at VW: all that development in the Polo and it's destined to be locked in a shed next year! -

Latvala to Toyota? Possibly unrelated, but Ogier sampled an EKS rallycross car a few weeks ago: might he turn his back on rallying and consider rallycross instead? Ogier back to Citroen seems a stronger possibility though, how secure is Breen I wonder? -
Me. You were knighted recently @SergeyTokarev?

Forgive the double post, but the VW exodus from the WRC has been confirmed: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motorsport-wrc/updated-volkswagen-quits-world-rally-championship-end-2016 Such a shame, as I was looking forward to seeing them fend off the challenge of the returning marques, plus we'd have had five manufacturers in play. -
Anyone seen the latest Facebook post on the DiRT page? https://www.facebook.com/dirtgame/photos/a.231832723555970.56129.132609796811597/1199724386766794/?type=3&theater "4 is definitely better than 3". Am I reading too much into it, or is that another number 4 hint there?...

as for graphics its not all about graphics.rather have a better realistic fun game than a super duper graphics ****. I have said it elsewhere, but I fully agree with this as well. Handling and sound means far more to me than ultra polished scenery. I'd like an option to drink tea and eat scones in the back of a Transit van before going racing. Once successful in the career mode I should be able to upgrade the Transit to a caravan.

It wouldn't be right to have a trip to Wales without it hammering down with rain at some point! Awesome video, love the clip at 1:37 from the inside of the bend (I think its Meeke: hard to tell with the car caked in mud!) -
Can you confirm if the invitees know who they are yet @ChristinaMc?

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that they would abandon the team after all the development, but if the purse strings are being tightened, they may have no choice. Perhaps things would be different if they were to pull out, but no Polo WRCars have ever made it into the hands of privateers, so I wonder if the whole program would just be locked away. -
Subject change, but did anyone catch any of Gymkhana Grid yesterday? Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was worth watching just to get a closer look at the car control from Solberg: his driving looks utterly effortless.
