I like your modesty there @RallyDriven.

When compared with Race Driver GRID, it indeed is a step back. But when compared with GRID 2, it's a step forward in every imaginable way. That game was so bad... honestly, the physics just killed it. The career there was highly pointless as well, so although the one in GA wasn't interesting, it at least was less... linear so to speak. I preferred the disciplines included Autosport, so for that reason it's a close call for me. If they had included the Circuit de la Sarthe (and the end of season 24 hours of Le Mans) in Autosport then it would be my clear winner. The Le Mans content in GRiD just keeps it ahead though!
-
This also could get stalled by a EVO announcement. I just hope there isn't a GRID bomb dropped, that will just suck resources from DiRT team. I haven't been impressed by that series in a long while. OFF TOPIC: Did you play GRiD Autosport? HUGE step back in the right direction in my personal opinion.

Same old, Kevin... Other than a calm before the storm tweet, but but I think the storm is a long way off. But don't call me a weatherman my predictions aren't that great. Unless the storm was actually the VR update? I assumed the storm was the VR update? I was actually a little underwhelmed as, although it's cool, the VR update doesn't excite me that much! Fingers crossed the storm is actually something else more exciting!

Few pictures from the 6R4.net trackday held at Curborough a few weeks ago... ...there were a few intruders in the paddock as well. One had a blue oval on the front... ...and another had a great ass. ;) Few more pictures here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/22961613@N06/albums/72157670994058216 If any of you are interested!

It's not DiRTy Gossip in the slightest, but it involves rally cars, so I'm posting here: few pictures from the 6R4.net trackday held at Curborough a few weeks ago... ...there were a few intruders in the paddock as well. Went to Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend and saw a DiRT celebrity on the rally stage: Can't beat that Group A sound!

Been clearing my camera off the last few days, so a few relevant pictures for the thread. One very cool Formula 5000 Lola from American Speedfest at Brands Hatch... ...and a few from this years 24 hours of Le Mans. Disappointingly all of my fave photography spots from my last visit to Le Mans (2014) have now been blocked off or turned into hospitality areas, Tertre Rouge was the only spot I could find that was both clear of fence and within range for my lens! Few more shots from Le Mans here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/22961613@N06/albums/72157669407553010 If anyone is interested!

https://twitter.com/dirtgame/status/742649507096186880 Also, there may be more to this than just a patch ;) I forgot how much I hated it when the Dirty Gossip thread was full of teases and not solid information.

You are, right. Let DR 2 follow lesser known rallies, and have Kylotonn follow WRC ;) Amateur rallies also needs love, and some of them are really pearls/diamonds. Do I have mention a minor American location? You guys gotta hate me! :) Oh change the record @gfRally. ;)
-
I thought so? The first #thatcar was the Sport Quattro and the second hash tagged car was the Peugeot 208? (Not 100% sure on the above though, so I await correction!) Really intrigued to know what they have planned: is it just minor tweaks, or is there further content coming for the game?

I'll drop some gossip for the next update. It has something to do with cars.In all seriousness, hopefully it won't be too long before codies can talk about what they have been teasing. It's quite fun seeing it from the other side and seeing how close people get when guessing, same as when myself and a few others were lucky enough to play the game before it was announced, and gossip was at its highest! He knows something. Talk @RallyDriven, TALK!

THE FORUM HATH SPOKEN AGAIN. HAIL THE (VANILLA) FORUM.

They had to lower the difficulty level of the forum as it was putting off the casual posters.

Yeah, they said it wasn't modelled from a particular car like the rest of them, it has a Mini base, but everything else they kind of made up. Yeah. There are a few styling cues from a handful of different Minicross cars. The "spectator" tweet included in the Road Book did make me laugh: they do stand in some pretty stupid places in the game! By now, I think I have more (virtual) innocent lives on my hands in DiRT Rally than in GTA V. Haha! There is one corner on Finland (can't remember the stage) where you come over a right crest and the tightness of the corner nearly always catches me out. I inevitably run wide and, sure enough, there are a handful of spectators I always clip with the back of the car. Instant reset. Curse the stupidity of the (virtual) spectators. Promise myself I'll heed that pace note more carefully next time. Never do.

I see Tanner Foust is competing I wonder who between "Foxy" Foust and "hollywood" Solbert will win....probably Solberg Nice thing in WRX is that for once, Loeb is NOT dominating and he have to actually compete against others Foust was a bit disappointing last year, I was expecting him to be a lot quicker. Hopefully he'll be back up there this year. If the car works OK then the Focus should, in theory at least, be quick at Lydden. Plus you've got Guy Wilks in the mix. Question is, can any of them stop Ekstrom at the moment?
-
It's not DiRTy Gossip, but it's just two days until the World Rallycross Championship round at Lydden and I CAN'T WAIT. That is all. Carry on.

Went to Brands on the saturday as was busy on the Sunday. Absolutely in love with that Vulcan. First time I've seen a GTE spec car as well in the form of two 458's in the GT Sport Club races, had no idea they were that loud. Genuinely sound like old F1 cars. The Vulcan looked incredible didn't it? It made everything else in that Hypercar Club look tame in comparison!

The rallycross car? Yeah. It's not a conventional engine layout like the WRCars either. -

I would expect a Fiesta, not a Focus. The Focus is a bit on the large side when compared to the competition. -
Awesome shots @MBKF1, that was a very cool position to be watching from!
