Sorry, could have been clearer there: they don't have an animation for gear selection on the steering wheel*, so its not a "mistake" as such. * yet: hopefully it is coming!

Thought I'd round up all the outstanding items reported so far in a single post: Rallycross - Supercars: Volkswagen Polo R - Incorrect engine orientation (details here) Peugeot 208 - Lowest ride height not low enough (details here) Peugeot 208 - Peugeot-Hansen team liveries incorrect (details here) Rally - Group A: Subaru Impreza - Additional headlights (night stage) incorrectly positioned Rally - R5: Skoda Fabia R5 - Lowest ride height not low enough (details here) Rally - Group B: Ford RS200 - Boost pressure needle disappearing (details here) Rally - 2000cc: Subaru Impreza (2008) - Additional headlights (night stage) incorrectly positioned (details here) Ford Focus (2007) - Dash display not working (details here) Peugeot 206 - Incorrect compressor stall audio and lack of banging (details here) Some trivial points, but might save the devs a bit of time trawling through the outstanding items people have posted thus far! NB: I haven't posted the gear selection animation issue in the Fabia and 206 as that has already been addressed.

real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship
tbtstt replied to Fedemaisonnave's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Maybe just have "2020 Rally" and "2020 Rallycross" threads next year? -
Yeah, I think you are right... ...but I'd love to see him back out in the DS3 again!
-
But, crucially, he has a big enough wallet!
-
Put it in the car inaccuracy thread if you think it needs attention @Benniz!

The Monster budget was very tight this year, I really hope Bakkerud can take the Championship and bring the EKS cars back again next year: it would a shame to see them not getting used! Would love to see Larsson back in the World Championship again, but I doubt he has the budget for it unless he can get a lot more sponsors onboard. If Pucher wants the Hansen brothers/family to support Titans again next year then he may fund them again (especially if Timmy wins the Championship). Agree with regards to OMSE: would be brilliant to see them return, especially if they can bring Sebastien Eriksson along! Yeah, I was surprised as well. I have read a few comments indicating that all is not as great behind the scenes at Toyota as it would appear from the outside. Tanak making a move would certainly support that. Get yourself to a European event, it'll give you a better weekend than Silverstone would have done!
-
They didn't, I don't know if the ARX regulations directly reflect the WRX rules now? Article on Autosport... https://www.autosport.com/wrx/news/146883/world-rx-drops-silverstone-and-trois-rivieres ...suggests that World RX won't be in the UK this year and confirms that the new circuit at the Nurburgring will be based in the Mullenbachsleife area.
-
I'd be surprised if the July round is outside Europe: unlikely that the Super 1600 field would be expected to travel overseas? September might still be Latvia - subject to funding - but I am now seriously doubtful we will see Silverstone back. I think it is highly unlikely but, despite that, I am desperately hoping that one of the TBC turns out to be Lydden!
-
Logistically better for South Africa? I think Barcelona is a better circuit to kick things off with as well.
-
There are a few stories floating around about, this is probably the clearest... http://latviarx.lv/en/jaunumi/neste-world-rx-latvia-likely-not-found-2020-calendar/ ...perhaps they will be able to strike a deal at the 11th hour?
-
Possibly but, as @MattyH1812 said, I think Latvia is gone: there has been talking of funding issues throughout this year.
-
Looks like the rumours about Silverstone may be true. That's a very disappointing calendar; no Euros at Barcelona again, no UK round and a "full" calendar with two empty slots in it.
-
Well at least they have gone somewhere with some rallycross history this time. Going to be interesting to see the full calendar today, lot of rumours flying around about certain 2019 circuits getting the cut, I wonder which ones will make it?...
-
Read a few reviews of Modern Warfare at the weekend and I have watched a few gameplay clips now: definitely keen to pick it up sooner rather than later!
-
Damn, that is a shame, was hoping Abbring could give ES Motorsport a good result to finish the season with.
-
Yeah, that is exactly why I rarely bother with PC gaming now @gfRally. I predominantly gamed on PC in the late 90's/early 00's, but got sick of having to tweak or change something with the computer every few months when a new title came out (especially as there always seemed to be something I'd miss when reading the specification list!). I accept that games can certainly look better on PC - and, perhaps most crucially, you can tweak details like liveries on PC - but I really don't miss that uncertainty when I pick up a new game now: I put it in and I know its going to play without issue*! * Unless it's Gran Turismo and it's got 1000 GB of updates to install first.
-
There is a balance: I really like to see cars jostling for position (and the same applies with Touring Cars), but I don't like to see people getting fired off and/or such heavy contact that the officials have to completely rearrange the results post-race.
-
Yeah, I'd agree with that, most rallies I have been to in recent years have been really well run. Seen a few daft things... ...and I absolutely agree with this, but people on most events (especially the bigger ones) have been sensible. The only exception to the above rule - and perhaps the video you watched @koog2003? - is RallyLegend. I went in 2017 and it was absolute madness (especially the night stages). The crowd were controlled before the first car ran through, then seemed to spill out everywhere as the night went on. It was absolutely awesome and I am gutted I couldn't get there again this year!

What was seen, cannot be unseen. Just thank @PJTierney for cleaning the place up.
-
Its 10 pm in the UK, so they are probably all in the pub!
-
@PJTierney, you might want to delete the above post!
-
"Yew tuuuuuuuube"!
-
Nice to see that most of the issues from early in this thread have been addressed now... ...though this still hasn't been fixed: fingers crossed!
-
Just be glad that, no matter how bad his lines were, they didn't invite Christian Stephenson back again...
