Yeah, the long term is the worry now. The Championship either needs to scale things down a bit so the privateers can finance it, or somehow get the manufacturer interest back. Personally I hope the former happens, though I suspect they will continue to chase the latter.

Yeah. I am supporting Bakkerud, though I do agree... ...that I find Kevin the less-irritating of the two Hansen brothers. With four event wins I daresay Timmy has earned the title but, despite what I have been told by various people about him being a decent guy, I am still struggling to warm to him. His whinge after winning Q3 sounded like a petulant child. Bit belated, but I took a ton of pictures in France and various activities have prevented me from sorting through them sooner... ...as ever, full album here: Flickr - World RX, Round 8 2019 If anyone is interested in seeing more!

Fixed just in time to be rolled/smashed/break down again!
-
Yeah, it's a bit tight, isn't it?
-
Damn shame for Subaru, as he looked likely to give SRTUSA their first rallycross Championship this year. I think Pastrana has scheduling conflicts and Oliver had previously stated that he was focusing on rally this year: that said I'd love to see Solberg in ARX!

I can't remember the exact timeframe for when the previous incarnation of the forums started. I recall them around the first DiRT, but can't remember how much they proceeded that by. I am sure I remember there being forum discussions about CMR2005, but that may have been around the time of the first DiRT rather than at the release of that game. Was it late 2013/early 2014 when the last forum disappeared and was replaced?

To show how much I appreciated you (and everyone else) voting for me, I have given you another down vote. (And, despite the free copy, I still went and bought a copy of DR1, as I am unable to resist a shiny steelbook!) I'd say a good gauge now to see how long people have been around is to see how many remember Lee and how many remember the original forum.

The Subaru numbers aren't enough yet. Those are rookie numbers.

Not strictly rallycross, but the last time we'll see the PSRXVW Polo in action?...
-
The World Championship might go electric, but the European and National Championships won't: ICE rallycross will still exist.

Saw a post on Facebook that reminded me about this classic EsCos livery... ...appearing in CMR2005. Would love to see CM bring this one back as another bonus livery!
-
The first time the GRC was at Dirtfish it did have a crossover, (though they missed the roof driving option). I much preferred the above layout though.
-
That's the one @Mike Dee! One of my favourite GRC layouts. Dangerous? The GRC never believed in that word! To be fair the tunnel is very gimmicky, but I thought the cars looked (and sounded) great going through it.
-
...or just copy the GRC layout!
-
Very cool @mwoodski, though you missed the opportunity to run through the building!
-
I miss that sound (the PSRXVW Polo, not awkward farting). It is so distinctive, you knew exactly when one of those cars was on the grid!
-
No, it is its own thing. The Eklund Beetle was one of the first Supercars to make use of the "custom" engine regulations when they brought them in a few years ago. The Andretti Beetle uses a VW Motorsport engine, the same engine also went into the PSRXVW Polo (though obviously with a different configuration cooling package).
-
I think that's unlikely to happen now. Best I can do for you:
-
Yeah, turn one joker laps often do that.
-
Pontus Tidemand has been driving the "Herbie" car (with a different livery) in the European Rallycross Championship this year... ...the "Herbie" Beetle is a Per Eklund car, the Beetles used in the US are Andretti/VW Motorsport cars.
-
And Lydden will be in there soon(ish)!
-
Forgive the double post - and this isn't World Rallycross content - but I uploaded a few pictures from round 5 of the British Championship, so I thought I'd post a few here: Ford Fiesta VI 4x4 T16 (51) (Julian Godfrey) by Steve White, on Flickr Suzuki Swift Junior (126) (Roberts Vitols) by Steve White, on Flickr Ford Fiesta VII 4x4 T16 (101) (Derek Tohill) by Steve White, on Flickr Ford Fiesta VI 4x4 T16 (51) (Julian Godfrey) by Steve White, on Flickr Citroen C2 S1600 (303) (Jarek Suchowiecki) by Steve White, on Flickr With those done I can start looking at my Loheac pictures this evening!

Per Eklund owns that Beetle. And you should definitely do something about the lack of WRX in your life.

Just sitting in the Gossip thread...

The rally fans are just in denial that rallycross is better.
