  1. Yeah, I think it was P8 WRC. Do BGM Sport own that? I thought BGM ran it for Max Girardo? (P8 WRC does have a 98 roof vent on it though)
  2. S4 has been used in the past, though it was only ever used to refer to the WRC97. The car they recorded audio for was, if I remember rightly, an WRC97, so I think that may be where it has comes from... ...the car as it appears in the images/video though seems to be a WRC98 so, even by the "old" classifications, it should be an S5.
  3. Edited for accuracy.
  4. I'm not angry @PJTierney... just disappointed.

    DiRTy Gossip

Not really gossip, but a cool little snippet from Petter Solberg on Facebook: PS: Nice mouse mat @gfRally.
  6. Given that people frequently joked about taking a step back when McRae was on stage, I don't envy anyone who had to put themselves more in harms way!

    Best R5?

Yeah, it seems as though the R5 class is truly mixed, as each car definitely has positives and negatives: whereas pretty much other car class in the game has one or two cars that are clearly the pick of the bunch. Must admit I haven't used the C3 much: another car I need to give more time then!
  8. I just hope the car doesn't let him down. We have seen that Abbring has enough pace to challenge the World field, so he should be very competitive in the Euros... ...but Cyril Raymond was badly let down by the Clio last year. I hope the same doesn't happen to Kevin.
  9. Kevin Abbring will compete for the 2020 Euro RX title in a "newly developed" GCK Clio: Hope the car is more reliable than last year: Raymond and De Ridder deserved better results last year. EDIT: My computer was hanging making the post: @JorritVD beat me to it!
  10. That's cold... ...words along those lines appear in the CM blog, so hopefully something similar will appear in game!
  11. Definitely would like to see more real liveries!
  12. You then have to spend too much time in service and get a penalty.
  13. I am glad to see that one of the Trophies/Achievements requires us to duplicate his triple trip to the trees in Finland!

Are Exterior Cameras classed as an Assist?

Pretty sure they count as an assist: if it is the rallycross trophy you are talking about, I did that with the external cameras off.
  15. Speedboat? More like barge! I'd say this is a fitting swansong for DiRT Rally 2.0: and possibly the last DiRT game on this platform? Can't wait to get that S4 S5 on stage.

Damn right @gfRally: every day is a learning day!
  17. Well it might be that quick in real life: it just breaks/rolls over before we can find out...

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

Ah yeah! You're right! I forgot about the SVX! Well it might be a coincide but, given the timing, maybe that is why Prodrive skipped S4 to prevent confusion?

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

Yes, that's right, "S4" does appear against a SUBARU road models @dani211212: that was a much later (2016) WRX though. In the case of the World Rally Cars though, the "S" nomenclature was decided by Prodrive, not SUBARU. The next mystery to solve is to ask why Prodrive skipped number 4!

    DiRTy Gossip

Because I am a neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerd, I sent all the Prodrive information to that website this morning: check the link now! I also sent it to EWRC as well, as everyone uses that website as a resource.

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

No, not quite @JorritVD. The previous information I had listed '98 and '99 as S5, but '97 wasn't shown. I think others may have had this, which is where the assumption that the '97 car was S4 has come from. The use of S3 is something I have only seen in the last 12-18 months. It turns out that Prodrive applied an "S" code to all of their Subaru rally programs, so the complete list of Prodrive S numbers is: Group A Legacy - S1 Group N Legacy - S2 Group A Impreza - S3 Impreza WRC97/WRC98/WRC99 - S5 (although the '98 and '99 cars had some improvements over their predecessors, Prodrive retained the same S5 designation for three years) Impreza WRC2000 - S6 (also known as the P2000) Impreza WRC2001 - S7 Impreza WRC2002 - S8 Impreza WRC2003 - S9 Impreza WRC2004 - S10 Impreza WRC2005 - S11 Impreza WRC2006 - S12 Impreza WRC2007 - S12b Impreza WRC2008 - S14 For reasons unknown (even by the Prodrive guys), S4 was skipped. The above list is support by the Subaru WRC Spares specification list, which starts at S5. The WRC2006 car was just the S12 (not 12a as per your list) and the S12c just applied to one (or possibly two, depending on who you ask) chassis. I have been sent a bit more information this morning which further reinforces the above: if you look at the parts catalogue for any early Impreza WRCar, any part that was carried over from the Group A Impreza has an "S3" prefix as part of the part number.

    DiRTy Gossip

This isn't the first time I have seen Subaru (sorry, SUBARU, @PJTierney ) make a blunder. Subaru USA put out a video on the 22B a few years ago and it was full of (really obvious) errors. That said, I would assume that all licensing passes through Subaru Japan. Given the subject material, I take that entirely as a complement!

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

Yeah, seems that way @dani211212, as I can't imagine it will be easy to change it if it has already been licensed as S4. Although it isn't entirely correct, it isn't (in my opinion) as wrong as calling it a 22B! I am cursing myself for not asking around sooner, as I might have got a reply before CM went for licensing!
  24. Further to my earlier post, I have now received a reply from an ex-Prodrive engineer and Impreza World Rally Car owner who has confirmed that Prodrive used "S5" for the WRC97, WRC98 and WRC99. I shall amend the original post accordingly and will add a bit more (useless) information to the "spare" post I left at the start of the thread!
