  1. Yeah, I know there were still issues in Holjes (and they did perhaps have a slight home advantage), but they seemed a long way from their disappointing 2018 season. Looks like they (OMSE) have abandoned the idea of front mounted cooling and reverted to a traditional Supercar design.
  2. Can't help but think they picked the wrong year. They struggled last year and, although they had issues in Sweden, they surely would have been far more competitive this year.
  3. Yeah. Was hoping that Kevin wouldn't make the final so the Championship would close up even more, but I am still pleased to see the gap has been slashed. Gutted that Niclas didn't make it through, as that would have pushed him further up the standings as well. Long overdue win for Bakkerud. Fantastic drive from Baumanis as well.
  4. The first change was forced on GCK/Prodrive, as the regulations were changed after the Megane was unveiled. I don't know for sure, but I think Prodrive were using the air from the radiators for aerodynamic gain. My best guess is that they had the rear setup like a blown diffuser, but I don't know that for certain. The regulations now state that air from the rear cooling package must exit the car via the boot and not the boot floor. There have been numerous changes nade this year as the FORS engineers are attempting to refine the Prodrive design. Front aero (round the arches if I remember rightly) and the rear wing have also changed slightly.

Well I hope the new real life livery in 1.7 is the first of many given that's what a lot of us seem to want. I also hope that Dirtfish isn't the last bit of content we see from DiRT 4 in DR2.0: would like to see a few more cars (and Lydden) make the jump!

YES! Dirtfish for testing, that is unexpected but very awesome. (and hopefully I can finally unlock the adaptable trophy as well: I wonder if it is retroactive or if the criteria have to be fulfilled again?) EDIT: If Dirtfish is accessed through the career (and using career cars), will mileage there count towards the mileage required to unlock car upgrades?

Skoda is surely the best example of this. It might have been a different story elsewhere in the world, but I remember Skoda being considered a joke brand in the UK during the 90's. The way VAG have transformed the name is nothing short of incredible in my view. I had a Fabia and thought it was brilliant: unfortunately much of my love for the brand was undone by my local dealership, which still annoys me as I'd have stuck with the marque otherwise!

I have seen some positive reviews for the Giulia, if I was in that market it is difficult to look past the "obvious" German models, but it definitely an attractive alternative. Of the current Alfa range it's the 4C that stands out to me. I think it is overpriced for what it is, but ridiculously good looking. Arguably not "pure" Italian but the Pagani factory is, by a long shot, the most incredible workshop I have ever been in.

I'll have to disagree with you there: a guy I work with owns a Mito (2018) and he has had a list of issues with it! Lamborghini have certainly improved their track record (mainly because all the oily bits are German now), not sure I'd agree with the same statement for Ferrari... ...definitely agree that the Italians can build a pretty car though!

^ That. I am pretty sure you have been told not to take things here personally before @ale81udine, @JZStudios comment was meant in jest... ...as said above the Italians have produced some beautiful and fast race machinery - on two and four wheels - over the years. Unfortunately Italian road cars are not known for reliability!
  12. Electric RX has already been confirmed... https://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/10382/projekt-e-confirmed-for-world ...the reveal of the Projekt-E car was down for early September, so quite likely that. I wonder if they are considering mixed ICE/electric racing.

Solberg and the PSRX DS3* 😍 (* up to the moment when it bounced off the wall anyway)

Great video, but Block really needs to stop claiming his car is a genuine Evo!
  17. I can't wait for Estering to get added: I suspect everyone is going to be using their first go to try big entries into turn one! I went to the Titans RX rounds at Lydden last weekend. Had to leave early on Saturday and, although I was annoyed at having to miss the semis and finals, the weather was bloody awful so not sad to get out of the rain! Much more pleasant on Sunday, though some frustration with repeat delays throughout the day. The Titans are definitely quick and loud, my only real gripe with them is the look: some of the shells are OK, some look really ungainly. Think they'd have been much better off going with sleek RX Lite style shell for the whole field, then having more colourful liveries to distinguish between the cars. Some good racing throughout and some very "robust" driving. Apparently there were penalties issued for corner cutting, but a lot of drivers seemed to be majorly trimming the grass at North Bend. I think the absence of joker laps made a massive difference, most of the races (when they eventually came) were close. Eight car Supercar final to round off the weekend which was cool. Rene Munnich was in a class of his own, though notable that Julian Godfrey wasn't that far behind him. Impressive drive from Donnelly as well, he didn't seem to take long to get to grips with the C4. Unfortunately there were issues with the Doran RS200: was looking forward to seeing that car getting thrashed again!

    The Game Thread!

Very pleased with the PS+ games for August. I am a huge fan of both the Wipeout and Sniper Elite series and have wanted to play the latest entries in the series for ages: both are free next month!

Haven't used the S14 Impreza for a while, just gave it a try and noticed that the sound has been fixed on PS4 now, hurrah!

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

The MG Metro 6R4 and Delta S4 rallycross cars join the fray... ...just one more release in Season two to go: I hope that a season 3 announcement comes and, with it, more cars for the list!

Looking forward to taking those for a spin... ...though I am still hoping all the Group B RX cars get a mechanical makeover (especially the RS200!)
  22. Not strictly rallycross, but some great clips of Petter and Oliver at Goodwood:
  23. I personally think they tried to run before they could walk and rallycross in the US may have priced itself out of existence. Neither the Lites nor Supercars are cheap to run but, thanks to the manufacturer involvement, the latter class has become stupidly expensive to participate in if you want to have any hope of winning. Dodge, Honda and various others baulked at the costs when it was GRC and now even VW have pulled out. I think it would be fair to level the same criticism at the World Championship: that has rapidly grown with appeasing manufacturer demands as the priority, but now the manufacturers have all stepped back and the whole thing is left as a very expensive proposition for privateers. Of course there is a much deeper pool of cars and drivers to draw from in Europe.
