Yeah, that's very true, it's just a shame that Abu Dhabi looks so similar to CotA (which I thought was dreadful!). I would like to know which car Bakkerud will be using and who will be running the team. If everything is in place then Andreas is definitely my Championship favourite!
-
Ha, the random Doran/Bakkerud guess was right! I think the entry list looks really promising, it's just the circuits they are racing on that I am not sure about.
-
I was thinking new team when the news broke last night (I actually suggested a Doran/Bakkerud team on Facebook, funny to see that people are quoting that!), but I think this may just be a reference to the Abu Dhabi round being run at night. Hopefully it's a sign we are getting another team though, Monster will surely want to put their logo somewhere with PSRXVW out of the picture, so another team would make sense. I see Hansen have confirmed their (two car) entry into the 2019 Championship, very interesting to see that they have partnered with Max Pucher.
-
Yeah, I am checking both. The Discord Gossip is hard to keep up with as it builds up very quickly, the sub-forums are easier to keep pace with though!

Modern Warfare Remastered was available from the PS Store yesterday so I thought I'd start it downloading once I got home from work for a quick game before heading to bed: but then I found out the download is 75 GB! Hopefully it'll be finished downloading by tonight!

Forgive the double post, but ES Motorsport confirm Rokas Baciuska as their driver for 2019: http://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/10242/esmotorsport-labas-gas-confirms-young-gun?fbclid=IwAR2L9TFJCSe4GiLFGFnlMRLjmp5Mte-Rr22YE8SNNw9nNHZGIZVuSAxlqQg A second Fabia will follow for Kevin Abbring later in the season.
-
I believe this takes it from 8 to 12. I think the full entry list will drop tomorrow.
-
I don't know if they do. The third car written off last year, with Prodrive out of the picture now I don't know if that third car will be resurrected. I don't like Marklund, he is a brat off and on the track, but I guess he has the money so he has the drive. It could be an unpredictable season though and that's what I think is most critical. Favourites for me so far have to be Szabo and Gronholm. Bakkerud could shake things up if he has a drive though and I am very curious to see how the ES Motorsport Skoda performs. They have done a lot of testing with that car, it should be good!

GCK confirm a four car (two Meganes & two Clios) entry into the 2019 World Championship: http://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/10239/gck-launches-four-car-assault-on Chichiret will be joined by Anton Marklund in the second Megane, Cyril Raymond and Guillaume de Ridder will be in the Clios. I'm not sure how competitive that Clio is: would rather have seen Raymond in the Megane and Marklund in the Clio. Surprised not to see Liam Doran involved as well. That certainly gives the entry numbers a significant boost though!

Yeah, I was hoping for the S12b as it seemed a perfect match for the Citroen C4 and Mk.2 Focus. S11 would be a good match for the Fabia though, plus the S5 is the shape everyone loves, so fingers crossed there is still a chance for more Subaru goodness...

You are not the only one. Many of us are hopeful to see more Impreza WRCars!
-
Not long before the arrival of the first batch of DLC. I assume we will get new Championships for the new car classes in the freeplay mode, can anyone at CM confirm? (please!)
-
Not long now! I assume we will get new Championships for the new car classes in the freeplay mode as well? (That's probably a question more for the Gossip Thread than the Confirmed Car list)

I was thinking that it was a joy... right up until the moment I pirouetted out of the joker lap and lost several seconds, arrggghh!
-
There is an onboard clip doing the rounds on Facebook. It looks like another CotA: flat, featureless and dull.
-
EKS are back! http://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/10234/eks-sport-signs-krisztian-szabo?fbclid=IwAR1nNrK70jqSfIkQrf0ofM3apMDdPz0N3bMIWn33ByxMfuPV37cIXtx6IrI Kristian Szabo will contest the World Championship in an EKS run Audi S1. I thought Szabo was very impressive at Loheac last year, I think he might be my new favourite for the title!

Having done the whole Championship I think that Barcelona is the trickiest circuit to be consistently quick at, there is no room for errors with those tyre barriers!
-
I didn't like the idea of the fictional additions to the class when they were revealed, but I have to admit that all the RGT cars are great fun and a different challenge. Speaking of which... ...I just decided that it was probably time for me to give the Group A and R5 a break, so I just had a go in the Group B cars. They feel LETHAL now!
-
Just seen that Oliver Solberg posted about Dirt Rally 2.0 earlier: He mentions about his R5 livery, can we expect that as one of the "special" liveries?
-
I think the Group A Impreza is much improved in DR2.0: it understeered like a pig and seemed gutless in D4, I can get some lovely slides out of it in DR2.0! I am yet to try the Evo 6, best give that a look next!
-
Exactly: rough tarmac with scattered gravel.
-
- Irish tarmac stages - 90's and WRCar Irish liveries - Impreza S12b with Irish liveries Someone call the CM execs, I think I just designed DLC season 4.
-
Its archive footage. Sure it was Bertie Fisher. Its a sign... 😉
-
Very cool to see such positive coverage of an ITRC event. I really hope this isn't the last time we see DiRT and Ireland together in a video!
-
During play last night I am 99% certain I saw an Irish Tarmac clip used in the introduction video for the Modern Classics Historic Championships? I can draw only one conclusion from this (possible) sighting: IRISH TARMAC DLC CONFIRMED.
