We have seen that car before, but not on stage!
-
Yep. The R3 was responsible for absolutely killing my interest in the BRC a few years ago.
-
I was hanging on until it dropped below £10 (as I thought that was a fair price to play the campaign again), but now it's free: result!
-
Pretty much every level of MW1 is iconic. MW1 and MW2 were absolute gems, real shame that the series has lost it's way in recent years.
-
Just seen that Modern Warfare: Remastered will be on PSN next month. I didn't think it was worth picking up for full price, but I am really looking forward to playing through that again!
-
Yeah, its the "obvious" choice, but I am all about the Pug 306 as well. Fingers crossed the class is coming though, like you say, I think it will be in a later season... ...as ever though, I'm happy to be proven wrong if it means we get more cars sooner!
-
Sorry, but I must have missed something when I saw the video...
-
Words that do not belong in the same sentence: "beautiful" and "Almera".
-
I think so: with the amount of cars that have been hinted at now there is surely more than they can fit into season 2.
-
Spotted by @Rallycameraman: Looks like we have confirmation of the return of kit cars!
-
Awesome spot!
-
Well at least the car went out doing what is was made for rather than gathering dust in someones collection!
-
Bit on the livery design (and some more angles of the car) in this video: Seems like the consequence of having a designer rather than an engineer put the render of the car together to me...
-
Bonus points to Ken for the continued use of turbofans... ...side and rear exhausts seem a bit much though!
-
Yeah, some rallies and some shows (including Goodwood Fos). Here it is with the lights on...
-
Yeah, that's why I am hoping he has chopped up the "art" car and not a genuine Group A EscCos. I thought Gymkhana Files was excellent: watching them making Gymkhana 10 was far more entertaining than the actual film! (Though I'd say you're doing it the right way round watching the making of after seeing Gym 10).
-
Yeah, it got mentioned in his "Gymkhana Files" series and he discusses the crash in the video that accompanied the image I posted. Apparently it was the fault of the (rather rare) gearbox. I wonder if this is his third EscCos, or if the "art car" (in the background of the photo) was used for this. Shame he didn't bring another Group A car back to the stages, but the blend of the old and new sounds awesome on paper!

The only real disappointment with the game for me so far: every other track in game seems spot on, I can't understand why none of the gradients seem right in Mettet. Off topic, but has anyone seen the latest news from Ken Block? 90's Group A meets modern WRC. I can't wait to see what this looks like!

Is that not the modern Porsche rather than a classic Porsche?
-
Wise man. That said I had a Peugeot 106 and loved it... right up until the moment I had (a spectacular) head gasket failure. I have found the Megane and S1 quickest so far. I have also put in a couple of belting laps with the Mk.8 Fiesta, but the laps either side of it are completely useless! I am also pretty consistent in the Polo, but I have to work very hard to get near my Megane and S1 lap times.
-
Thus far I have found that I can be very consistent in the Megane, but I think all of my fastest laps have been set in the S1. I intend to spend a bit more time with the 208 this evening as, thus far, I am nowhere near my best lap times in that car.
-
I have found a good line a few times, I just don't seem able to consistently repeat it! The last two corners at Silverstone can be quite finickity as well, it seems to be much easier to "overdrive" the Supercars in DR2.0, sometimes a bit less throttle is the key!
-
That's what the Gossip thread is for! Good list, I hadn't seen the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR licensing, is that in the credits? I hope we get properly developed rallycross versions of the RS200 and 6R4 in season two.
-
The Focus RS RX and MINI Countryman are also missing from DiRT 4: although the Countryman didn't run in 2018, so wouldn't really fit with the theme of DR2.0. My guess for season 2: Modern Rally 2000cc: 2001 Subaru Impreza S7 WRC 2001 Ford Focus RS Group B (Rallycross): Ford RS200 Evolution MG Metro 6R4 Supercars (Rallycross): Mini Cooper S Citroen DS3* * The absence of kit cars maybe suggests an issue with Seat licensing, if I am mistaken about that though (and there are no problems with Seat), then I think the Ibiza is more likely. I hope it's the DS3 though as that was my favourite car to drive though!

Barcelona is so much trickier than I expected. There are a couple of corners (specifically that last section) where it is easy to lose a chunk of time.
