  1. Yeah, agreed. Of all the additional race classes, RX2 is the one I will miss the least. If they cut Euro Supercars on Super 1600 then I would be very disappointed.

    2020 FIA World Rally Championship

Haha! I should have double checked the thread title before posting!
  3. Looks like 2020 will be the last year of RX2. Electric and petrol cars to contest the World title in 2021: More here: https://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/10545/rallycross-evolution?fbclid=IwAR0EHqTZ_Td7hK2gAZV38K6r--F9_c9e0TtfwD8t4ujny8kvEJJdqvaNu-Q

Nothing to see here. I didn't post something in the wrong thread. Honest.

    Give me a "C"...
  6. The STARD Fiesta is pretty annoying really: given that every other car is pretty much spot on, it is annoying that one is a substitute. Agree that it would really round things off if they could get the GRX cars, but I guess it is an impossibility at this point. Downloaded the cars late last night and did one race in the MINI (at Hell). I broke my own lap record on the third lap, so I was either particularly on form last night or (more likely) the MINI is going to be the fastest car in class!
  7. Ha! You're welcome @Jack4688, glad to help!

Its definitely a 97 WRC: the headlights looked different on the Legacy.

    DiRTy Gossip

Think he made his rally debut in one if I remember rightly?
  10. Yeah, I definitely agree with @JorritVD concerning DR1 & DR2.0: DR2.0 is the superior game in my eyes and, although there are a couple of cars (and Pikes Peak) missing, DR2.0 is the one I would opt for. DiRT 4 did, in my eyes, get a lot of things right (4WD handling was generally better and the rallycross was much improved), but it seemed to struggle in other areas, most notably RWD handling. I really enjoyed DiRT 1 at the time but, although DiRT 2 seemed more like an arcade game, the car behavior was far more natural in my personal opinion. The presentation of DiRT 2 was a bit too "extreme" at times, so I preferred the tone of DiRT 3 over 2 (plus the handling seemed better to me in D3, as cars didn't slide as much). As for the classic CMR titles I'd say CMR 2.0 and CMR 2005 are my picks of the series as, to me, they each represent the pinnacle CMR game for their respective generation of console. CMR were "sims" of their era but were (obviously) not as intricate as DiRT Rally: I definitely wouldn't consider any of them arcade games.

Yeah. Would be nice to see the historic Championships expanded to include the DLC classes as well.

I really want to see Breen at the sharp end, fingers crossed he gets some drives this year.

    2020 FIA World Rally Championship

Decent event to kick the year off with, incredible surge from Neuville yesterday and a very impressive start to the year for Evans. Roll on Sweden!
  14. Oh yeah, its not a "pure" arcade racing game, but I personally think DiRT 2 is the most arcade game of the series.

So it's YOUR fault that we have got that fugly hatch then? Something else to blame the PC master race for...

Yeah, that's a good theory. But then the S12b is a firm fan favourite, where as most are indifferent to the S14. I have seen multiple requests for the S12b on here and Facebook over the years, but can't recall ever seeing one for the S14.

With the classes we have in game, it surely going into 2000cc @RallyDriven. As has been discussed before a late '90's class would make perfect sense with the Evo VI (which was beyond Group A in reality) and the S3 WRC in it, but I personally think that is unlikely to come at this point in the games life, as moving the Evo VI would require leaderboards to be reset. With that in mind I am not expecting the S3 to be the fastest car in class, but I am hoping it will be as entertaining to drive as the '01 Focus.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong: I'd love to see it in game! (and a Nova would be too cool!)

    DiRTy Gossip

Sorry, should have been more specific there @SRD_SimVansevenant: if it is something specifically McRae themed, then I think the S12b is unlikely, as his connection to the car is tenuous (though it could be argued the car is significant as it is one of the cars that Colin drove in his last public appearance). Something Solberg themed could certainly include the S12B, though I must confess I am still perplexed as to why they opted for the S14 over the S12b in the first place...

    DiRTy Gossip

I think that is unlikely as Colin only demoed the S12b, but it would be incredible if they got it in!

Yeah, it's surely more then one car: that said, given the car in question, everything else that comes is icing on the cake now!

DiRT Rally 2.0 Confirmed Car List

Been a while since there was any activity in this topic but, with todays teaser, it looks like we can add the 1997 Impreza WRC to the list!
  25. I agree with @Tranzitive: for pure arcade Dirt 2 gets my vote every time.
