In terms of looks it's S5 (1998), S11 (2005) and S12b (2007) for me. I'd say the S5 is probably the most iconic looking rally car of the modern era, but I'm torn between the S11 and S12b for second place! I like the S11 but I prefer the wing without the extra thingy things in it (don't know what they're called) The slats in the rear wing came in on the S9 (2003) car. The whole wing was painted on the S9, the slats and leading edge of the top of the spoiler were unpainted on the S10 onwards.

I'm glad this version is in instead of the DR one, much prettier front end :) Have I missed something? This is the Impreza S7 WRC from DiRT Rally, isn't it? I had in my head a different design more similar to the 2002 standard Impreza, haven't played it for a while lol. I remember the front looking more like the '03 but with the bugeyes. Man I'm so tired lol Never attempt to identify an Impreza when fatigued! Exterior shots look exactly like the S7 WRC in DiRT Rally to me. As @Jepsertti has spotted though, the interior has been revised and looks correct now. I wonder if the audio for the S7 WRC has changed as well? OFF TOPIC: The bugeye Impreza is widely acknowledged as the worst looking generation of Impreza and, although the WRCar was a huge improvement I still think it's the worst looking of all the WRC Impreza (I'm awaiting a dislike from @Rallycameraman for that line!)... ...having said that, the fact it was the car that Burns won the Championship in and given that the McRae-era Focus is in game, I think the S7 WRC is the perfect car to appear opposite the '01 Focus. Yet another car I can't wait to play with in DiRT 4!

Heheh, we filmed his interview before that incident. Looking at some of the backdrop, my guess is the rallycross interviews are from Loheac @KickUp? I think it's a green screen but I could be wrong! Yeah, I think Meeke might be! The rallycross interviews look like they might be from Loheac though, the livery on the Chicherit MINI would fit for France as well.

Kris Meeke fears nothing... ....apart from finding the exit to spectator car parks.

Yup - Product Manager Andy Gray will be out there :) Cool, will keep my eyes peeled for him! You'll most likely find him chilling out in the PS RX tent. They have the best tent (with the best sweets!) Coincidentally that's my fave tent to lurk around, as it has the highest Solberg content of the paddock.

Will there be any Codemasters presence in Mettet this weekend @KickUp/@ChristinaMC?

Few photos from my first few motorsport outings of 2017. Starting with the opening round of the World Rallycross Championship in Barcelona... ...round two of the British Rallycross Championship at Lydden... ...round three of the British Motocross Championship at Canada Heights... ...and round two of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup Championship at Brands Hatch... ...round four of the World Rallycross Championship this weekend: can't wait!

Those shots all look great... ...but this one is stunning! Come on release date, hurry up and get here!

Where and who gets codes is down to our Publisher and not us. We are hoping to showcase some of the stuff that you guys have been asking for soon. I think @ChristinaMc maybe asking for requests on the lead up to this but I don't want to speak on her behalf as I am not 100% sure on the plans. Correct - our publishers will take the lead on code distribution, but I will have some scope to influence this/get some codes of my own. :) I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany. When in Rome...! Was hoping someone would get the reference! :D

I'm more interested in the article below about PC2 since I know everything in the D4 one already xD Now with that new tarmac / physic model in place, what are the chances that Dirt Rally gets a final patch for the tarmac physics? Pikes Peak is calling :p As much of a chance as Ken Block winning the WRX Championship ;) Ooooof.

See you there! I'll hopefully be going as well, but probably only Saturday as it's my grandads 90th birthday on the Sunday! Excellent, hopefully see you there!

The wheelbase of the S1 (the car in DiRT Rally) and E2 is the same. Aside from the aerodynamics, the E2 was a different car under the skin: the engine was revised and the drivetrain (including the gearbox) had been altered, so it's a very different car to the S1. According to the drivers of the era, the E2 was a right sod to drive, so it should be fun in DiRT 4!

2 - I don't think so. Looks like the game went gold and they have a "final" build. Plus it doesn't say anywhere "Work in Progess" and there's this too... https://twitter.com/Hatward/status/859795215481229312 Diving into a pool of gold from that height would hurt like all hell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqqfGXrX__8

I can't wait to take a Supercar around Loheac. I CAN'T WAIT!

It's not that much a question of 'Could it be done?' but rather 'Should it be done?'. Agreed. If I remember rightly the WRC currently limits maximum stage length to 80 kilometers and even that would be a huge challenge for gamers. 100 - 200 Km is, in my personal opinion, an unrealistic and rather ridiculous request.
-
Most of the current WRC events are between 300 and 400 KM in total, so two 200 KM stages and you have just done a complete WRC event! :D

I know I have said it before but, as it's the current theme of the DiRTy Gossip thread, I must applaud the DiRT team for their openness on the forum. It's very rare to see a question posted on here that goes unanswered and even better to see minor (or perhaps major!) tweaks made to the final product as a consequence of what is said. I have recently made a couple of posts on the Ubisoft forum concerning potential patches for the new Ghost Recon and the frequency - and vagueness - of the official responses is pretty much the polar opposite of what we see here.

Stadium Super Trucks are absolutely hilarious to watch, I'm so glad they resurrected the concept, as they have provided some great racing!

This has to be the most optimistic thing I've read this year!
