I vowed not to buy any more games until I finished MGS5, but damn the game has got a serious amount of content in it!

Been looking at picking up one of the latest FPS releases. Was considering CoD, but I'd basically be buying it for the MW1 remaster, so I think I'm going to opt for Titanfall 2 (once it drops in price a bit). Still need to pick up Unchartered 4 as well!

yeah got round to finally playing Titanfall 2 today only done the tutorial level on the single player but so far I'm enjoying it. I've only bought it for the single player but I'm really enjoying it so far looking forward to blowing things up with BT though

just had my first run in BT it's fun controlling him. They've certainly made an interesting story and game in Titanfall 2

I played the first Titanfall on a friends XB1 and loved it. Of all the XB1 exclusives, its the only one that I really missed on PS4, so I'm really pleased that TF2 has been released on both consoles!

I liked how balanced the multiplayer was with the first game: I jumped straight in and, despite having never played it before, didn't get absolutely hammered. I normally expect to get thrashed as everyone knows the maps and I don't!

The lack of single player was rather off putting, but I see they have rectified that with TF2, so another reason to make a purchase.

Where does the 'reacquainted with an old friend' tweet fit?
CMR 2.0 had both rally and rallycross, plus a lot of people remember it as one of the best presented games in the series, so perhaps that is the inspiration for the new game?
Well, it wasn't rallycross per say. You were just driving rally cars on some rally stages made into circuits with simplified physics. Thus it was called "Arcade mode". That mode was best in Sweden with Fireball cheat :D
Yeah, sorry, I appreciate it was a bit of a stretch to call it "rallycross". Just rally and rallycross in one title though: I wonder?...

In the next title, would you include DR stages? I think they deserve long life, they have awesome level of detail
If possible I'd like to see everything back from DR again. There are some brilliant stages (and tracks) in there, I'd like to able to try them again with the new handling model that has been mentioned!

Hey guys, that's my first comment on the codies forum after a little bit of lurking on this thread lol.
I think I've found some juicy news. Basically I stumbled upon a french site reporting that some codemasters guys were recording audio from the ford fiesta rallycross car of Pascal Le Nouvel. Then they mentioned that the audio that they're recording  for "Dirt rally 4" (hoping is a troll, after all this wondering if they were coming up with dirt 4 or dirt rally 2...) mentioning august 2017 as release date.
Link to the news in french, hope I didn't misread anything due to my low french level XD

"I met Christopher Jojo engineer in this company in England. He was looking for a car to make these recordings for the creation of the new video game, Dirt Rally4, which will be released in August 2017, he said. So I suggested to him that of Pascal. This is the first such operation in France and the first car of this type registered for Code masters. "

What type of car was it?  A RallyX car?  Its described as a Focus WRC, but clearly a Fiesta with blanked lights...

& with Christina in Germany, its pointing at FIA World RallyX
Yeah, it's Pascal Le Nouvel's Fiesta Supercar: Nouvel had a Focus, but he switched to a Fiesta. France has a very strong national rallycross Championship (arguably the strongest in the World) and it's obviously close to the UK, so seems a logical place to go and record car audio!

  6. I have been hankering for "real" rallycross content since DiRT 1, so I love the rallycross portion of DR (despite the lack of tracks).

A standalone game would be great but, even with historic content and more tracks, I question whether that would be enough to fill a full price title. I'm also unsure if rallycross has enough appeal to justify a game of its own.

The rally, rallycross and Pikes Peak mix of DR is the perfect mix in my personal opinion: it just needs bulking up now!

Awesome first post AnegloPlz! Not sure how reliable Google translate is, but I read that as DiRT Rally 4 as well.

Ack Iv said for ages that the RX partnership would possibly warrant a stand-alone game

I dont want an RX game though...  :(
Well one would assume that, if it was just a pure rallycross game, it wouldn't carry the name "DiRT Rally 4"? (On the assumption that article/Google translate is accurate)

On the subject of kebabs, my sister and her boyfriend were down visiting at the weekend.  After a few too many drinks he bought a kebab (I got a burger).  Ate about two bites and then went to bed.  Money well spent.
You can never go wrong with getting food whilst drunk! I was once drunk in a casino and was so exited about winning £5 on roulette I ran out and blew it all on chicken. Best decision Ever!
Wise investment @RallyDriven. If I ever win the lottery I plan to spend it all on RS200's and fried chicken.

Good planning that man: that means his breakfast kebab (minus two bites) is sitting there waiting for him as soon as he wakes up.

245 ... what? Big number comes out of whats left. Unless stretched hint at at least two 2004 and 2005 cars being in the game.
Or worse yet, only the first, third, sixth, seventh, eight, ninth and tenth rally games are shown in the pic.

THE NUMBERS, WHAT DO THEY MEEEAAAN?
They aren't even trying to make this difficult now, this one is obvious: 245 in hex is 581 in decimal. 8 - 5 + 1 = 4

    4 is the magic number.

    DiRT 4 CONFIRMED
    . (again)

Ok finally looked up this Kebab pizza, i dont lnow if this is an American Greek thing, but is this the same shaved meat that is on a gyro?
"Kebab" is actually a broad term for a number of meat dishes, though it is most typically associated with doner meat: donor is the big elephant leg of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie.

Kebab pizza is a regular pizza with donor meat on top!

Ok thats what they use on the Greek sandwiches here.  Not sure what exactly the meat is on there, its just good.  Gyro probably means its spins.   it  I think they have a Gyro pizza here, maybe ask them to add pizza sauce on it and see what happens.
It's usually pork/beef/lamb. Not sure how that works though.
When it comes to the origin of donor meat (especially with some of the local kebab shops), I think the less questions asked the better...

To be honest, Ogier was the guy that won because Loeb left in the beginning.
Seeing a lot of RX fans discuss a move to WRX from Ogier. It's where the big-name competititors are at the moment! Would love to see that happen. World Champions everywhere, especially if JB decides he fancies a pop at RX too.
WRX: where retired WRC champions go... old folks home for WRC
Could be worse: could be the GRC where all the retired extreme athletes go.  ;)

I wish I could be more of a fan .. my heart is in stage rally "its not the destination, its the road getting there"
    .
I struggle to pick a fave: rally was the first motorsport that truly excited me and I still love it now, but rallycross is so much more accessible (and the cars are absolute weapons). Wait until you've seen some proper rallycross action live, then see how you feel...

Oh yeah, VW, I wonder if dropping out has anything to do with dieselgate?  There will be a huge chunk of change that will be paid out for that, and usuallys factory motorsports suffer first.
I would say that the direction shift of the Audi and VW motorsport programs is a direct consequence of dieselgate. The cost is likely to run into billions and, as you say, motorsport commitments always suffer first.

WRC: I hope everyone doesn't jump to MSport or DMack I really don't want to see more Fords out there.  Not hating on Ford, but they are over saturating the market.  Could we have Audi back or Nissan?

I would cry with Joy if Subaru could come back, too bad the rules keep the door shut on them.  Variety is nice, but its very expensive to manufactures and Subaru is doing very well without WRC.
Given that the new cars have to be factory run I don't think we are likely to see an over-saturation of any one marque next year.

As for Subaru: are the rules shutting the door on them, or are the brand failing to move with the times? I appreciate the regulations were different at the time, but the Impreza was conceived with rallying in mind: despite the motorsport heritage the company have, I can't imagine them doing anything like that now.

And I assume you are being sarcastic since 'fibs' don't result in a company spending $14700000000 in a single country to buy back 7 years worth of products they knowingly, willfully and illegally modified in order to make near-obsolete technology seem competitive in the marketplace.
How many other cars are out there on the market with fiddled figures behind them? How many other cars are out there that don't deliver on the promises made in the brochure or on the test track? The only difference between those and VW, is that VW have been caught out.

There have been numerous automotive fiddles discovered in the past and I'm sure there are plenty more out there. "Dieselgate" is surely going to be the most expensive one to date though.
