Hell no: got better things to spend my money on thanks! :smiley:dwkGravey said:
Your own stag and wedding? Because if so, that'd be one heck of a honeymoon.tbtstt said:
I've got a stag do, a wedding and two days of rallycross to fill the time between now and then!RallyDriven said:tbtstt said:Three weeks to go. Just so everyone knows.
Yep, I'm so excited right now! 4 days of solid coursework, a week of skiing, a week of panic coursework and then Dirt time!
(But if it was my wedding then the stag do and ceremony would be taking place at the rallycross!)

Excellent! Wondered if there would be any presence there so close to console release.KickUp said:
Possibly. I seem to remember someone mentioning that the game would be there but perhaps not in an official capacity.tbtstt said:Will there be any Codemasters presence at Lydden Hill for the second round of the British Rallycross Championship (at the end of March) @KickUp, or only at the World round? -

Yeah. Smaller cars for the smaller engines was how I understood it.RodgerDavies said:
I thought it was mainly the shorter wheelbase that they were after; the shorter the better.RyuMakkuro said:
All segments are allowed, it's the engine displacement that is mainly limiting the factories from putting the "bigger models". Or rather they prefer to use the production car that was already designed more for a smaller engine. Main reason why you don't see Impreza anymore.Areyouben said:Makes me wonder, do the 2017 WRC regulations allow cars from the Focus segment again? And what models are VW and Citroen going to use? -
Fully agree! The M-Sport Fiesta RX is my fave looking modern Supercar, I don't think this is anywhere near as nice.RallyDriven said:It doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the Fiesta! Hope it's competitive, but I'm sure it will be
With M-Sport behind the car though, I'd expect it to be competitive! -
Little bit more rallycross news this morning. Ken Block released Gymkhana 8...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hf6ke1-i3E
...and, at the end of the video, the new Focus RS RX is revealed:

Although this news isn't that surprising (marketing the Focus RS does tie in perfectly with the World Rallycross initiative) I am actually a little disappointed as I love the look of the M-Sport Fiesta's. Still, a different shape on the grid for 2016 is probably a good thing.

They don't have any drivers at the moment: one of the junior Eriksson's seems likely though and, if rumours are to believed, the son of another famous WRC driver as well...Didzis said:
Does OMSE even have any drivers left? Bakkerud went to Block's team, Nitišs wrote on twitter, that he'll be leaving the team as well. Timerzyanov will be joining the Austrian teamtbtstt said:Also waiting for announcements from EKS, OMSE, Munnich Motorsport and JRM as well. -
Ha! I agree with you with regards to the arrival of Toyota: I'm not expecting much out of them next year, especially based on the way they are running the rally program so far.versedi said:
That sounds optimistic! ;)tbtstt said:For me the WRC has been on the rise again the last couple of years. I'll be honest and say I'm not that excited about it this year as, knowing what is coming next year, the 2016 season is really a stop gap between regulations. With the rule changes in 2017 though, a dedicated push from Citroen and the return of Toyota I am seriously anticipating the next WRC season: more than I have been for a long time.
I wouldn't underestimate Citroen . I personally don't think they have been "fully committed" during any of the VW years, so next year could prove very interesting: beating VW isn't going to be easy though! -
Only a minor point, but Solberg is not part of any Citroen team.: he is still technically a privateer.Darhour said:I guess WRC is dead by now because we have rally legends competing in full throttle in RX. You have Loeb in Peugeot Team and Solberg in Citroen Team..
As much as I enjoy following Rally America, it's really not the first rally series that springs to mind when I think about "diversity". It's effectively dominated by one manufacturer - far more so than the WRC - and the list of overall event winners over the last couple of years is very short.Darhour said:I guess there are rally events more exciting and worth watching than WRC for example Rally America because there are Subarus and something called "diversity".

Haha! After his previous European appearances Block has a prime opportunity to silence his critics, I hope he doesn't disappoint!RallyDriven said:tbtstt said:
Block is going to be one to watch. If he can keep it on the track he has the potential to be a challenger for the drivers title.Fedemaisonnave said:I have hopes on Ford Performance RX Team with Bakkerud and ... Block
And if not, we get some cool looking crashes. It's a win - win
One thing is for sure, Petter is going to have to fight very hard to make it three titles in a row. -

He will be defending his title using his DS3. No word on whether he will be part of a two car team yet.RallyDriven said:
Has Petter confirmed what he is doing yet?tbtstt said:
No need to punish yourself that harshly @KingOfCoins. ;)KingOfCoins said:I swear if this is turning into peugeot-hansen dominating the whole championship i'm switching to Global Rallycross
Incredible bit of news. The Loeb rumour has been floating round for a while, I was concerned that, if he did get a drive with Peugeot, Davy Jeanney would be left without a seat again. The plan gives, Jeanney, Loeb and two Hansen's seats!Azoresst said:Not DR gossip, but Loeb just confirmed that he is gonna race at FIA WRX with Hansen team!
Have to say I'm expecting one of the Peugeot-Hansen teams to take the title again, but the battle for the drivers title could go anywhere at the moment: and the driver annoucements haven't finished yet...
Also waiting for announcements from EKS, OMSE, Munnich Motorsport and JRM as well.
I'll be keeping up with the GRC, but the direction the Championship has taken over the last couple of years isn't to my liking.Areyouben said:
Why not watch both?KingOfCoins said:I swear if this is turning into peugeot-hansen dominating the whole championship i'm switching to Global Rallycross -

Haha! Perhaps I should reword my previous post then; that image reflects how I want to look during many hours with the game, however it's more likely I'll be spending my time bouncing rallycross cars off the barriers instead of gracefully sliding around corners!RallyDriven said:gfRally said:
A whole DiRTy Gossipers Forum on the PS4? We should feel exploited! XDRallyDriven said:The road book is out, interesting read for console players. The game has also finally gone gold! Very excited now!
Yeah forgot to mention that, nice nod to the community from the team :)
I was planning on spending them similarly, however I feel a more accurate example would be a tree in Wales!tbtstt said:

It's not a new team @Underkex, as @KingOfCoins said...Underkex said:New RX team. I am very happy, As spanish I am very proud of Seat sport. Would be so nice to have this new season teams in DR.

Interesting move to Seat, I wonder if there is some manufacturer support? Car looks good in that render as well, be great to see another different marque on the grid! -
I have the cash ready to go. However I haven't bought one yet as DR isn't out for a month and I am attempting to minimize the distractions for working on the house: that way I won't feel bad when DR comes out and I spend a huge amount of time planted in front of the PS4 and not decorating! :smiley:RallyDriven said:

Not really DiRTy Gossip - but I've got to talk about something while I counting down the days until DR arrives on console - there has been loads of rallycross news the last fortnight: several major driver swaps in the World Championship and a number of younger drivers stepping up to Supercar in the British Championship. We should be in for some decent racing in 2016!

Yes indeed, the Group B rally car is a Sport Quattro S1. :smile:NLT said:This is probably a stupid question, but it's better to be silly rather than ignorant :)
The Group B Audi Quattro in Dirt Rally is the S1, right?
