Just want to point out the the pop-off valve for the 206 in the newest update sounds nothing like the real thing. The 206 WRC has a short chirping sound. See what I mean in this video when the cars are coming into a braking point and are going down the gears:

Put it in the car inaccuracy thread if you think it needs attention @Benniz!

The Monster Energy brand sponsored multiple cars before (VW and Ford), I would be suprised if they not will continue with their sponsorship with probably the most interesting couple of drivers on the frid that fit with the brand.

I think the question is more if they will continue with EKS, or that f.e. Subaru will get into play. I know the Subi is not completly according to the WRX regulations, but that can be arranged ofcourse. Imagine black Subarus with Monster colors. And than EKS/JC with Szabo and Larsson in the Audi S1s

Also I am not really sure about the Hansen brothers will return. The problem last year was (A) cars and (B) money. The cars they have and are competive. I would also be suprised if Red Bull would stop the sponsorship. But also a big part of the budget was coming from Pucher (MJP). I wonder if he will continue with that. because it was basically to get extra attention for Titans.

A final thing, could we see Loeb back in World RX? The i20 has showen it is maybe overall the fastest car and probably that development is also ongoing. It might be the car for 2020 to have to go for the championship and maybe with some support from Hyundai. Also SET/GRX have enough i20 Supercars and otherwise they can build ofcourse.

EDIT, one more final thing. Hopefully OMSE will be back.

The Monster budget was very tight this year, I really hope Bakkerud can take the Championship and bring the EKS cars back again next year: it would a shame to see them not getting used!

Would love to see Larsson back in the World Championship again, but I doubt he has the budget for it unless he can get a lot more sponsors onboard.

If Pucher wants the Hansen brothers/family to support Titans again next year then he may fund them again (especially if Timmy wins the Championship).

Agree with regards to OMSE: would be brilliant to see them return, especially if they can bring Sebastien Eriksson along!

Tanak leaving Toyota is really surprising to me. Haven't read the article yet but he just won the championship, so his relationship with Toyota surely isn't the best.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. I have read a few comments indicating that all is not as great behind the scenes at Toyota as it would appear from the outside. Tanak making a move would certainly support that.

Welp there goes my plans of going to a WRX event next year 😕

Get yourself to a European event, it'll give you a better weekend than Silverstone would have done!

Can't do it with the Subarus I don't think as they don't comply with WRX rules

They didn't, I don't know if the ARX regulations directly reflect the WRX rules now?

My guesses at the other 2 would be Canada for TBC in July and Silverstone for TBC in September. Latvia would be that spot but based on the last few posts in this thread it's not in a good spot financially.

I'd be surprised if the July round is outside Europe: unlikely that the Super 1600 field would be expected to travel overseas?

September might still be Latvia - subject to funding - but I am now seriously doubtful we will see Silverstone back.

I think it is highly unlikely but, despite that, I am desperately hoping that one of the TBC turns out to be Lydden!

I'll pick it up when it comes out more than likely, i'm playing through the WWII one atm.. Forgot how good it was!

Read a few reviews of Modern Warfare at the weekend and I have watched a few gameplay clips now: definitely keen to pick it up sooner rather than later!

Despite me always ribbing @tbtstt all the time about consol pesants, there is something to be said about the simplicity of purchasing a $400 consol box and forgetting about the hardware untill the next one is released.

Yeah, that is exactly why I rarely bother with PC gaming now @gfRally. I predominantly gamed on PC in the late 90's/early 00's, but got sick of having to tweak or change something with the computer every few months when a new title came out (especially as there always seemed to be something I'd miss when reading the specification list!).

I accept that games can certainly look better on PC - and, perhaps most crucially, you can tweak details like liveries on PC - but I really don't miss that uncertainty when I pick up a new game now: I put it in and I know its going to play without issue*!

nah, part of the appeal of RX to me is that it's full bump and grind racing.

There is a balance: I really like to see cars jostling for position (and the same applies with Touring Cars), but I don't like to see people getting fired off and/or such heavy contact that the officials have to completely rearrange the results post-race.

Usually high budget /organized rally like nationals/euro and wrc they are very safe imo

Yeah, I'd agree with that, most rallies I have been to in recent years have been really well run. Seen a few daft things...

you can’t avoid the fact that people are stupid...you can’t control every turn in a 12 km stage.it’s simply impossible

...and I absolutely agree with this, but people on most events (especially the bigger ones) have been sensible.

The only exception to the above rule - and perhaps the video you watched @koog2003? - is RallyLegend. I went in 2017 and it was absolute madness (especially the night stages). The crowd were controlled before the first car ran through, then seemed to spill out everywhere as the night went on. It was absolutely awesome and I am gutted I couldn't get there again this year!

What's the point of racing if anybody can push you to the wall and not only destroys your car but results too? Are there any big penalties? Because without it the game is great but real life doesn't make any sense 😄

Not sure exactly what races you have been watching, but there aren't that many with terminal contact in them...

Was the attacker disqualified? 😮 That's exactly what I am talking about 😄

...and yes, the attacker was punished!

I like them in part because they're cheesy and a bit silly 😄 I suspect the game will feel just that little bit emptier if they're turned off.

I might end up turning them back on later, but I'll definitely be taking a break when the option appears!
