Any one pre-ordered the new Call of Duty? I have resisted the temptation thus far, but it looks really promising!

Not sure on that @AlexSpartan316, I'm not as au fait with the history of the Peugeot 206 WRC as I am with other WRCars. Pretty sure all iterations of the 206 were running sequential boxes, didn't they start six speed and then go five speed?

If you click on 'Movie' you can see the car they actually presented at the Tokyo Motor Show and that looks very much like the car on the photo Spartan posted. Now add a rear wing, side skirts, front splitter, more carbon and maybe some red and you have that aggressive looking and racey car.
Still think it's too big. Two door, 4WD and 350ish BHP please...

Some errors (specifically the "S1 E2") seem to be so widespread that even the manufacturer contradict themselves!

I never thought the hatch looked good from the factory, but a few tweaks it looks a lot better (in my personal opinion anyway).
I think the latest shape is a big improvement but, as you say, it's the older cars that are still the lookers. I have considered a newer Subaru on more than one occasion, but I can't bring myself to replace my blob with anything styled after 2007...
8 minutes ago, AlexSpartan316 said:They need to create a modernized version of the 22b ... that would be awesome...
I agree... though the car in your pictures isn't a 22B. 😉
Personally - and especially now that the hot version of the car is no longer an Impreza - I would like to see the WRX/WRX STI based on a different, smaller, platform. That said I say the same thing about a number of manufacturers; the Focus RS and Golf R are brilliant, but a Fiesta RS or Polo R would send me straight to the nearest dealership...-

The DiRT 3 cover car is the older OMSE built gymkhana Fiesta @PJTierney, as used in Gymkhana 3. Obvious clue is the extra doors!

The night stages are absolutely insane. The town based stage started off ordered and then people were everywhere, the out-of-town stage was madness: never seen so many fireworks and flares!

I have added all the recent spots into the "car error" thread...
...not sure if that's the place the team will look, or if they are better off being suggested elsewhere. Perhaps something that @PJTierney can confirm (in his spare time).-

Forgive the double post, but I just check the Loeb livery and that looks wrong as well:

More additions to the thread, this time based on observations from @ianism.
The official Peugeot 208 rallycross car liveries appear to have some wrong colours, specifically the Timmy Hansen 208...

...and Kevin Hansen 208:

Not sure if anyone from the team is watching this thread, but perhaps @PJTierney can add the above to the shopping list at some point.
EDIT: Just checked and I think the Loeb livery is wrong as well:

That thin grey stripe amongst the colours needs to be much lighter on all three cars. -
2 hours ago, ianism said:personally, the colour of Timmy's car (and Kevin's, and Loeb's, to a lesser extent) has always seemed off to me. the colourful parts are mostly too dark, and the base grey is much too light.
that bugs me more than the wheel arches (which, ultimately, are adjustable)
if I may be so bold as to use one of your photos, @tbtstt... I know the lighting is fairly different, but still.
As I said in my previous post I rarely use the 208, but I have never noticed that when racing against those cars! Definitely agree that they look different in those images. I will add the above to the car error thread, hopefully they get picked up!

Thought I'd bump this thread to include the items posted by @AlexSpartan316 in the Gossip thread. Specifically the ride height on the R5 Fabia...

...and the 208 RX car...

...both of which seem a bit too high.

5 minutes ago, AlexSpartan316 said:Exactly...the 2018 evo version it’s a pretty low profile supercar. Yeah it’s possible that the in game car it’s a model from an older ‘team hansen’ spec. (Much higher and softer in weight transfert)
Yeah, both version of the 208 used by the Hansen's in 2018 were low, as were their earlier cars...

11 minutes ago, AlexSpartan316 said:Yeah not a great photo but you can see on the rear there is a huge difference. If you are a wrx fan and you know the cars you immediately see that something is wrong on the height
edit: even if you set the car on the lowest height possible it’s still high
I must admit I don't use the 208 that often but, looking at the in game image again, the car appears to be leaning to the left and, like you say, is still showing a lot of arch gap.
Even under heavy braking the Hansen 208 doesn't sit that high.

I wonder if that element of the look/setup of the car has been borrowed from another 208? (Maybe the Albatec car?) -
20 minutes ago, AlexSpartan316 said:Not great pictures for comparison: top shot looks flat (Silverstone?), the bottom shot appears to be Loheac and that corner has elevation change throughout. Got any other in game images to hand?
From the little I have seen of the (2018) Subaru first hand I'd say the front was quite high under partial acceleration...

...and flat out.

It only really dipped lower under heavy braking.
There could be some lateral force affecting the first and last pictures, but I think it is pretty minimal.

I have read a few comments where he has discussed how difficult that car is to drive on tighter course (like Gymkhana Grid). The power is helpful... but only up to a certain point!
-
4 minutes ago, AlexSpartan316 said:That car was Powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine producing 350 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque in most applications but could produce up to 600 hp in certain setups. (Copy paste from official data’s)
Yeah, it would be 600 BHP for rallycross and, from what I recall reading at the time, the ran the engine the same for gymkhana.
350 BHP would be the power when the car was running a smaller restrictor for rally.-

That car ran in three different specifications, but I believe the gymkhana spec was closer to the rallycross (rather than rally) configuration, so I'd say between 550-600 BHP. And yeah, it's not the best way to win races, but I bet it was a lot of fun to do!

I must confess am not convinced by some of the crowd figures that are quoted for World RX events, I think they are often cumulative totals over two (or three) days.
Loheac is a very busy event, but I don't believe that 80,000 walk through the gate on the Sunday!
Irrespective I definitely agree that the French seem to love rallycross. The French National series is brilliant and the crowds always seem enthusiastic.-

A little bit more shading would be good on the plain liveries to make them more realistic, but I am using plain white on half of my 2000cc cars!
