    Always thought the C30 made a great looking rallycross car, there were some cracking looking cars in the late '00's Euro rounds.

    ...but I think the Scirocco should have got more love from fans: I thought it looked incredible as a Supercar.

    Yeah, he has answered a ton of my questions in the past and cleared up a lot of the conflicting comments I had read about the Schanche RS200's. 

    It was also Eddi who first pointed out the S1 E2 mistake to me!

    Yeah, I mentioned it in the Gossip Thread, but Eddi published a number of yearbooks in the late 80's/early 90's. They are difficult to find, but superb bits of rallycross history. 

    Eddi Laumanns and Tim Whittington are pretty much the fount of all knowledge when it comes to rallycross history: I wish one/both of them would publish a book now containing all their old images/information!

    The aero-free rallycross RS200 is still the best looking in my personal opinion and the primary Schanche RS200 is one of my all time favourites.

    I don't think any of it was shown? I was getting notifications for most of the Nitro events and I don't recall seeing any for the early races? 

    Guess I'll have to agree to disagree with you all on this one. Poor track design in the US took Gronholm out of competitive driving and that still irks me!

  9. Yeah, the big jumps and motorcross style sections look cool, but I don't think rallycross needs gimmicks for good racing and, as has been proven in the past, these "spectacle" circuits just seem to result in drivers getting badly hurt. 

    Glad that the Euros were on this weekend, so I could watch some proper rallycross! :classic_biggrin:

    Yeah, he owns a ton of cool cars. You can see quite a bit of stuff in the background of that video, including the bi-turbo Will Gollop 6R4 and Bertie Fishers Group A+ Impreza.
