I did not know that and I am glad you told me. :classic_laugh:

Ha! It's a confusing setup (well I think it is). If you are applying for a round in your home country then you have to e-mail a representative for that round, if you are applying for a round outside your country of origin then you have to apply via the FiA accreditation website.

A buddy of mines website here in the states.  He sent me over the confirmation for credentials email yesterday.

Awesome! Sure you already know, but you have to apply for individual event accreditation through the FiA website: it's better than it was but I still find it hard work!

It's too awkward and there's no flow!

Haven't you left yet? 😄 I appreciate that nostalgia is a strong factor with regards to the Brands layout. Does Project Cars use the original layout, or the later configuration?

Only gripe I have with Estering is that the AI are pretty slow, and during my semi-final the cars were arranged 5 across with the inside most car having another one shoved up it's backside.

The AI does seem to be a bit glitchy (and slow) in places, but I am still having a blast with Estering. Only a short lap, but a couple of corners that are really easy to mess up.

Night option possible in the new Abu Dhabi track?

I wondered if there is going to be a night option in game. I hope so, as that circuit needs something to make it interesting.

Ryan Champion, is there chance for putting his Ford Puma, as kit car, and Lancer evo9 or the Lancer 2005 model? it would fit perfectly for F2 and up to 2000ccm class..

Pretty sure his Evo IX is Group N, not a WRCar. It would be outclassed by the other cars in 2000cc.

I guess I'm the weirdo who never really cared for the Brands RX layout. :classic_laugh:

Show yourself out of the thread @mwoodski

I really don't like PC2. Almost impossible to drive a bit normal with a controller.

This is exactly what put me off as I read quite a few comments from controller players.

To be honest another driving game did a great job of brands and knockhill come to think of it

Just a shame (ill be polite) i couldn't get on with the rest of the game !

Does the title of that game involve the word "Project" by any chance?...

...I nearly picked that up because of the rallycross content, but heard some very mixed reviews about the game.

Only one track springs to mind for this era of rallycross

    Brands Hatch

There needs to be a "REALLY Like" option for this post.

The Rallycross GP's at Brands during the Group B era are one of my earliest motorsport memories: wish I'd been old enough to appreciate them at the time!

the drone follow the car 1:12😂

Have to say, that's quite a neat touch! This is looking better the more I see of it. Still not convinced on a day one purchase, but I'll definitely be giving it a look.

So how do we know the 206 is the wrc car and not a kitcar?

They have used the word "Rally" in place of "WRC" in the past.

Plus an article from some time ago indicated that CM had modelled a car that was mounted on a wall: that was subsequently determined to be a 206 WRC, not a kit car.

seriously though, that sounds pretty dumb. why would I want to watch something bigger and slower go around a little mixed-surface track?

Yeah, that's my thinking as well. British rallycross is already diluted with too many classes, does it really need another one? Or perhaps they already have truck drivers interested in filling the empty seats.

Slightly off topic, but I think truck racing in general is pretty damn dangerous. A lot of the safety measures at most circuits just aren't adequate for trucks, I can see an accident at a rallycross circuit ending horrendously.

Hmm yea, there will be differences for sure! But are those differences really enough to warrant the a new (paid) DLC car that’s incredibly similar and wasn’t a complete rebuild vs a new track 😉

Oh yeah. I can appreciate that the addition of 2019 content isn't going to appeal to the masses. I know there are a handful of us here who are excited by it, but I am not sure how many others will be!

I assume that CM will be offering individual item pricing (as they have for seasons 1 and 2), so those who aren't bothered about seeing another batch of rallycross Supercars can just buy the rally bits from season 3 that they want.

As I stated in the other thread, I'm kinda disappointed the MINI won't be included as of yet on the DLC schedule.

I know it ain't the fastest car for whatever reason but I really enjoy that it's something different.

It has all the right bits in it, I just think that Bennett has taken the wrong approach with his rallycross career. He is clearly enthusiastic (and I applaud him for that), but I think he could have spent his money - and utilised the equipment at his disposal - to much better effect.

I have said it before (possibly already in this thread), but Oliver Solberg drove the MINI a few months ago: I'd love to see the pace he got out of the same car.

If that will be the case we all should support Xite and Bennett in a way. Posting something about it, buy a extra can of Xite, start a fanclub, 😛

Oliver isn't short of a penny or two already, sure he has enough to get the MINI to us as a freebie! 😄

I think the differences are subtle and more locations and tracks. I’d like to see more retro cars and liveries.

Based on what is known about the specification of the 2019 WRX cars then, in theory, the changes on the 208 and S1 should be very subtle (if any).

The Mk.8 (OMSE) Fiesta should handle a little differently to the 2018 car, and the STARD Mk.7 and Mk.8 Fiestas should have a little more grunt than their OMSE equivalent.

The 2019 Megane handling should be different.

The Clio and the Ibiza should be the most interesting element of the Season 4 2019 WRX roster. On the occasions when it hasn't broken (which haven't been that often), the Clio has looked very quick and Raymond has been posting top three times. I am looking forward to seeing it in game.

I've no problem with people requesting things that would make the game perfect for them, so long as it's done in a constructive manner 🙂

With that in mind, is reviewing the specification and performance of the Group B rallycross cars on the Community Request agenda @PJTierney

If not, could it be added to the list please?

(and did the layout of the Mettet rallycross track make it to the Community Request list as well?)

But even better would have been the Group B Audi Sport quattro S1 RX and an Vauxhall Astra 4S RX to fill out that Group B RX class. ❤️

The quattro I can take or leave in Group B RX as it was largely outclassed at the time, but the Astra is a superb suggestion. Needs to appear in game with the correct John Welch livery as well!
