  1. Seasons three and four announced...

    DR2_S3_Calendar_EU.jpg

    DR2_S4_Calendar_EU_NM.jpg

...giving us more cars for the list!

    Think the additions are:

    Modern Rally 2000cc:

2001 Ford Focus WRC (DLC3)(Confirmed here)
2001 Subaru Impreza WRC (DLC3)(Confirmed here)
    Peugeot 206 WRC (DLC3)(Confirmed here)

    Kit Car:

    Peugeot 306 Maxi (DLC3)(Confirmed here)
    Seat Ibiza (DLC3)(Confirmed here)
    Volkswagen Golf (DLC3)(Confirmed here)

    Supercars (2019):

    2019 Audi S1 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Ford Mk. 8 Fiesta 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Ford Fiesta (STARD) 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Ford Fiesta RXS Evo 5 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Peugeot 208 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Renault Clio RS RX 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Renault Megane RS RX 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)
    2019 Seat Ibiza 4x4 T16 (DLC4)(Confirmed here)

I am a bit confused about the designation of some of the rallycross Fiestas in season four: "Ford Fiesta RXS Evo 5" (week 11) is a STARD designation, but the STARD car is already indicated on week nine as well? I know they ran two different specification cars this year, so I wonder if that accounts for the split.

I hope they'll keep releasing content every 2 weeks. So probably an announcement on the next roadbook and the first new cars in two weeks.

Yeah: I wondered if the 2 week release thing was going to carry on and, if that is the case, how quickly they'll want us to know what is going to be in season three.

Speaking of sounding incredible, what are peoples opinion of the Projekt E series being introduced?

My understanding is that it's now going to be a separate series like RX2, not a replacement of current supercars as originally planned

Personally I hope it flops and we never see electric cars in World RX and the whole concept of electric car motor racing dies as a result :classic_laugh:

I'm not actually sure how they are going to introduce it as there were some contradictions in the last lot of news stories I read about Projekt-E: some seem to suggest electric would be a separate series, others seemed to suggest they would be integrated with the ICE Supercars.

Sadly I think electric is going to creep into all forms of motorsport, but at least they are implementing it in rallycross more sensibly now. The idea of bringing an unproven electric format in at the highest level seemed daft to me. The manufacturers may have been interested, but the majority of fans weren't! At least this way we'll get a taster of the cars before any change happens...

...that said, I can't see electric arriving at anything other than the highest level for sometime so, even if the World Championship does end up switching, the European and other national Championship are likely to stick with ICE for the foreseeable future.

For the ones who are interested in the French RX Championship. The videos of events are posted on their YouTube page.
Very healthy Supercars grid with 8 car finals.

    Here from the 6th round.
    4:07 - Supercar Semi Final A
    9:48 - Supercar Semi Final B
    47:09 - Supercar Final

Motors TV used to cover the French Rallycross Championship years ago and the coverage was terrible, this is much better!

There are fantastic numbers in Supercar and Super 1600 in France. Plus the Division 3 cars are very cool.

I dont see the reason why not do a 8-car grid finals. Maybe there is risk of more damage in the semi finals and final. But maybe onther side than less risk will be taken in the quali heats.

I have seen a few 8 and 10 car finals done: heavy collisions in turn one were frequent.

I could see eight car finals working on some circuits, but if you think about some of the tracks the World Championship have used (Mettet, Barcelona Mk.2, Latvia and Turkey all spring to mind), the first corner would be absolute carnage with eight cars. I like to see a bit of paint getting swapped but, personally, I'd rather not see it turn into a demolition derby.

(that said, eight Supercars leaving the line does sound incredible!)

Liveries are almost as important as car selection I reckon

IF we were to ever get the Toyota Celica GT4 but it didn't have the Castrol livery, there would be riots 😄

I personally wouldn't rate them as that important (but then I prefer a lot of the cars in plain colours anyway, so that could be why!).

If not including a classic livery is all it took to get a missing car in (especially the Celica!), then I would say it's a price worth paying.

This could be the dumbest question? I'm new here and don't quite understand the ins and outs of the game yet.  Are there no MINI's in the game except for the classic MINI to start the game?

That is correct @Zulu0001: the classic Mini Cooper is the only Mini in game (at least for now).

Complete car list for the game is on the first post on the first page of this thread.

PS That definitely isn't the dumbest question that has been asked on here! 😄

The Porsche SC RS was step in the right direction but then you've got cars like the 2007 Focus where the liveries are frankly abysmal...

Yeah, I thought that the style of the 911 SC RS livery was the way to go. I hope we get more like that.

By the way, how good does that Impreza look? I probably slightly prefer the 97-00 model but this one's a very close 2nd

Slightly prefer? I mean the bugeye looks great in game, but its not even in the same league as the '97 - '00 Impreza WRCars in terms of looks!

After that clip of CM recording audio, I am keeping everything crossed that we are getting an S4 Impreza WRCar in game.

I thought Wipeout would be good, but in my opinion its garbage. The graphics are the only think that looks good on the PS4.

That is disappointing, as Wipeout HD was good on PS3. I have downloaded it (and Sniper Elite), but not tried either yet.

Basically the C4 RX was  they have the C4 WRC, which with some adjustments (and DiRT3 parts) they could make the RX Supercar version. The same goes for the Focus (Isachsen) where they could use the WRC 2007 as a base. The models not need to be look exactly look like the same. The Hansen C4 looks a bit different than f.e. Jeanney version (where the front was more similar to the WRC) and the Focus of Andy Scott and MDK were look a bit different again than the one of Isachssen.

You could actually sneak the C4 in as a "current" car, there is still a Hansen C4 in use today...

...and it lives in the UK near(ish) Codemasters!

It would be cool to see a selection of older cars in the mix though. The Hansen and Isachsen cars were both in DiRT 3, so I am sure they still have some reference information for them at CM.

Should be one car to do it actually, and that is the OMSE Fiesta MK7 😄 But yeah, think will be a lot of fun this track. Also very challenging with the walls very close in the technical sections.

It's a shame that the C4 isn't available in rallycross so you can do the "original" around the outside...
