Obviously they couldn't nail an official one for this, shame as the BP livery looks great on the ford. The old Stobart one would do great aswell

In the absence of any of the above I have my fingers crossed for a plain white livery.

The irony of Codies not being able to licence the car as "Subaru Impreza WRC9x" and deciding to actually call it 22b as to avoid legal trouble would be IMMENSE🤣

That situation would balance me on a knife edge between happiness and annoyance: happiness that another Impreza WRCar made it to the game and annoyance that it has the wrong name! 😄

  3. Well the car in the background might have offered us a clue as to who was recording, but it still doesn't really prove it was CM...

...as an aside, if we do end up with an early Impreza WRCar in game and CM don't include a "No, it's NOT a 22B" trophy/achievement then it's a massive missed opportunity.

are there any other reasons other than for video game purposes that the car’s sound would may be recorded?

Based on the response I got on Facebook it seems likely that the purpose of the recording was for a game. As you rightly say, we can't prove it was CM, though they do seem the most likely suspects.

And you are welcome @Pieman99: if it is what we think it is, then I am pleased to have bought that to the forum!*

(* and if it's not I apologise for getting everyone's hopes up!)

  5. OK, so this might be a really good bit of gossip, or it might just be a bit of really wishful thinking, but BGM Sport (who run a lot of historic rally cars), posted this on Facebook earlier today:

"Made a bit of noise last week to get some sound recordings with a couple of super McRae Subaru’s!"

Possibly a huge coincidence, but could the sound recordings be for Codemasters? Could we be getting two of the most requested Subarus?

  6. Rather concerned by the result from Barcelona at the weekend. I hope this isn't an early sign that we are about to see a season of domination from the Hansen brothers.

Uploaded a few pictures from the second round of the British Rallycross Championship at Lydden last week, few of my faves...

The modern Supercars are great, but it was brilliant to see Liam driving the wheels of an RS200!

  7. Two rallycross pages on Facebook are reporting that Bikernieki circuit (Latvia) is coming to Dirt Rally 2.0. I am not 100% certain of the source, but is this out first season two news?

EDIT: The same source also mentions Group B rallycross cars and the GRX Hyundai i20.

Thats great news, im so glad they did a refit !

Yeah, I have lost track of how many times it has been nailed back together now. I am not holding my breath that it's going to run for the whole day, but fingers crossed it lasts!

Steve Harris had issues with his RS200 at Silverstone, but it was an absolute missile once they got the problems sorted.

I'll have to keep a look out, The Retro rallycross is looking stronger than ever this year as well, can't beat a bit of nostalgia. (As for the avatar, got to give respect were its due,the bloke was a nutter behind the wheel and a genius in the workshop)

Yeah, the Retros took a while to get going at Silverstone, but the semi-finals and finals were great. The entry looks really solid again at Lydden, Liam (Doran) is out in the Retros this time so I am hoping we get to some sideways antics!

110% agree with you: it's a shame that Martin is most known to the mainstream for "that" incident at Finland, but he was hugely talented on and off the track.
