  1. Not managed to see any coverage of the race yet, just a few Facebook posts from drivers. Shocking lack of news again, the GRC hasn't even come close to the World Rallycross for PR this year (in my opinion anyway).
  2. Yeah, if I recall correctly there was a Porsche "Mission 2014" billboard directly opposite the Audi garage last year! I personally like the banter: at least the WEC hasn't got a stick up its ass in the way "other" top level motorsports do...
  3. Yeah, that engine sounds too high pitched to be a V8. Compare the video to this: http://youtu.be/KEGUwvBG3rQ
  4. Shame that the Circuit de la Sarthe didn't make it to the game, but look forward to racing round Brands and Mount Panorama.
  5. Just noticed that the 2014 Le Mans spotter guide is now available:  http://www.spotterguides.com/portfolio/2014-le-mans/ An essential print out for anyone going to the track!  Has anyone else seen the new Audi R18 clip as well?... http://youtu.be/_3u_14CXSDg ...very sly dig at Porsche there: might end up eating those words next weekend!
  6. Well my interest in E3 next week just increased significantly: fingers crossed for some news now!
  7. Yeah, I was hoping for Le Mans prototypes as well. Still, better one than none!
  8. I'll be there. Got there very late on Friday last year, so didn't have a lot of time to prepare before the race. Arriving on Thursday morning this year, so should have a bit more time to soak in the atmosphere (and some French beer!) before the race starts. Managed to stay awake for 21 of 24 hours last year, will try and do the whole race this time! :)
  9. World famous rally driver, you'll never guess which though. I'm going to say Solberg, just because! :D
  10. Not DiRTy gossip as such, but I made a start on my Lydden pictures this evening so I thought I'd chuck a couple of my faves up: I'm really crossing my fingers that Lydden is in the next DiRT: it would be brilliant to blast round it in game!
  11. SUCH a great weekend. Some excellent racing in all the classes, rounded off with some superb finals. Gutted Solberg didn't win, but Bakkerud has been quick all weekend and was a deserving winner. Impressive driving from Foust and Larsson, brilliant result for Jordan. So good to see him back in rallycross again, I hope not for the last time!

KickUp said: tbtstt said: That was pretty damn cryptic! :D Love Ryan's car, drooled over it several times at the Festival of Speed.   Is anyone from Codemasters going to be at the World Rallycross this weekend? Half a day of work to go... I am already far too excited! Not sure if anyone else is going. I can't make it this year. :( Shame, its shaping up to be a hell of a weekend.

  14. gfRally said: Maybe I am out in left field here, but isn't Liam Doran been mentioned before? As RallyDriven said I believe Liam Doran was involved with DiRT 3 (his name is certainly in the game). That leg in the video doesn't look like Liam either! Elfyn Evans is a good guess. Are we getting warm yet @JonTucker and @KickUp, or are we miles off?
  15. MastaVonBlasta said: Another explanation is that Andrew Jordan owns more than one pair of shoes. I own more than one pair of shoes and I'm not a BTCC Champion, so I would think he owns more than one pair! :D Perhaps David Binks again?
  16. My first thought is Andrew Jordan @MastaVonBlasta. Will head over to Twitter now and read what has been said!
  17. Great read Lee! Its nice to see older gamers (I mean that respectfully! ;)) who remember the roots of the series at the helm. For me CMR really came at the perfect time to get me hooked. McRae's WRC title in '95 had shifted rally from a casual interest to my fave sport, McRae himself was just spectacular and Subaru's were the coolest thing ever. My introduction came to CMR after I bought a Playstation magazine driving special which came with a demo disc (ah, the good old days of cover-mounted demo discs!). After being rather disappointed with V Rally I tr
  18. CMR 2.0 for me as well (with CMR 2005 in a very close second!).
  19. Perhaps I've been spoilt with the level of PR we have seen for RallycrossRX/World Rallycross, but I thought the GRC did a very poor job with communication for round one.  All the heat times/positions I picked up were from drivers individual Facebook pages rather then the main GRC page, plus the live timing seems very erratic. I thought the support of Red Bull would improve the speed they fed results back, not slow it down!
  20. Also just seen on Facebook that Pat Doran's rallycross RS200 (Rosie) is almost complete ready for next weekend: Heard some interesting numbers with regards to Group B cars in attendance: fingers crossed they all make it to the circuit!
  21. 38 Supercars now (and I've heard a rumour that there may still be more to come) I shall be there for the whole weekend: if I spot someone in Codemasters gear I shall accost them and demand information!
  22. A livery creator would be superb but, failing that, I just hope they get as many real liveries in game as possible (and that all the "fake" liveries are kept sensible).
  23. On the assumption that the Cat B cars are basically DTM I've voted there... however Cat C comes a VERY close second and the classic Touring Cars a very close third!
  24. Just read the blog and the above car list. My anticipation for Autosport just jumped up several notches; virtually all the Touring Car bases I was hoping for covered by that list. Fingers crossed for Super GT and the Circuit de la Sarthe appearing in the endurance class now...
  25. Thats a shame @RallyDriven. There will be more rallycross though, but only one shot at your exams! ;)
