  1. Ferrari isnt really synonymous with Rallying. Ok the 308 Gto done a handful of asphalt events in the 80s but thats it. Is rather more proper legendary rally cars like the Megane F2, Escort WRC, Celicas etc

Top 5 favourite cars to drive

Escort MK2 Impreza WRC 97 Legacy 6r4 Fabia WRC
  3. More cars! More F2, the Megane being my favourite. I know Toyota are very picky with their license, but the St185 Celica and Corolla WRC please! Also the Escort WRC, Octavia WRC, Accent WRC and Cordoba WRC. A new Welsh stage - Gartheniog or Dyfi would be a great stage imo. Improved Pace notes. A new asphalt event, Manx, Ireland or a mixed surface event like classic San Remo.
  4. This is great news, however I hope the balance of cars isn’t effected to much. The R5s are great to drive but I get a better sense of achievement from nailing a good time with an RS1800

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Have the developers at codies seen the amount of erallies ongoing at the minute? Many UK national rallies are running erallies in place of their actual events The Malcolm Wilson rally being the latest to run an event. Would be great if Codies allowed clubs to select any car from any class so each rally could have loads of different classes running in one event.
  6. This is the only area where WRC 8 trumps DR2. The asphalt physics in WRC 8 are vastly superior compares to, Spain at least anyway.

Dishing the DIRT - Two Teams, One Future

In terms of sales has the game been a success for codies? I hope the time and effort has been rewarded, all of us enthusiasts certainly know how good a game it is.

    Colin McRae: FLAT OUT Pack

New England and NZ were my favourites preciously as they were fast and flowing but they seem quite ‘easy’ Now compared to bonny Scotland

    Colin McRae: FLAT OUT Pack

I seen a great story in the other day told by one of the Prodrive guys who were in the stage trying to slow Colin down. He could hear him approaching and could hear him change up around the corner, at point he knew he wasnt going to slow and leapt down the banking next to the road. There was supposed to be four of them but 2 of them quickly jumped out of the way when they realised he wasnt stopping!

If this is the final DLC then all I can say is thank you to Codemasters for creating such a masterpiece. Its given me hours and hours of fun (and frustration!). Most Iconic rally cars are featured and the dev really have listened to the community feedback

I wonder what stage Scotland will be based upon? 🤔 I imagine one that was used on the Mcrae stages at some point.

Im looking forward to the scenarios also. Im hoping for one where you have to beat his average speed set in the 2001 Focus during the 2001 Wales rally GB St Gwynno stage. The incar footage is probably the best ever and as a spectator in the flesh it was the best driving Ive ever seen.

A converted RWD 205 was quite common in the British clubman scene in the 80s and 90s. There was one with a Hyabusa superbike engine in which would absolutely scream around and was completely sideways everywhere. I seen it quite a few times over Epynt and in the Royal Builth showground

They trialled paddles (or buttons) as far back as the 92 manx rally with Colin driving the Legacy. It messed up though and he had to use the manual shifter, theres a Bbc top gear rally report on youtube of the event. He still smashes everyone!

    New rally locations

Another asphalt round, Ireland or the Manx etc
  23. Apologies if this has been raised before. I’m an admin for a historic only racing club (the latest cars we use are the 2001 focus, Impreza, and 206 and anything before). In November we ran a 5 day RAC rally using the H2 rwd class. Each country represented an area of the UK eg Wales was wales, New England was the North of England and Poland was Scotland and Germany was the ‘Micky mouse’ day 1 stages. 10 stages a day and if you retired on any day you were out of the event completely. The event was a great success and for 2020 we’re thinking of using Group B in a similar format. What we be great would be if we could could pick all homoglated cars from that era. So, obviously Group B 4wd, but also the Group B rwd ( as the Manta 400s are such an iconic part of British rallying) and other cars such as the Ascona 400 which would have still been eligible to complete. in essence it would be great if we could pick and choose the cars we want to run in a championship rather than being confined to one class. This would also work where we hold one day sprints were everyone has to use the same car. Thoughts?
