DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

True. You can interpret the thing in two ways as the car itself was still a Citroën when it was build, even if the logo ingame is something else. But we'll see. I won't say no to a Xsara or C4 if that's what Paul might be hinting at! :p -

Probably that answer due to the fact that Citroën is actually in, just not as a rally car. -

There are some pre configured stages in the career that will be the same for everyone and then there are as many unique stages outside of the career with the Your Stage feature, so pretty much infinite. -

Is there a way for us to "James Veitch" them? I'm a member at a Dutch Xbox forum and there was a spam thread about football shirts. When some members reacted for fun the bot reacted back! But that wasn't everything yet. Somehow another spam bot responded in the thread with a 2 page long conversation between two spam bots as a result! :D Never seen something like that before haha. -

If I understand correctly, the problem is not the connection from the wheels to the gearbox/engine (if so, clutch would have solved it indeed) but rather the fact that the front and rear wheels are connected. So as soon as you would pull the handbrake all four wheels would stop, as the fronts would be connected to the rears. I think. I would imagine the handbrake in the DiRT tech has a strength variable, or at least some way to disable it. Would be cool if the B cars have no handbrake at least in the simulator mode. You can unbind the handbrake if you want to roleplay being Michèle Mouton :p Already preparing for it! -

Nicky Grist never signed any contract, they just locked him up on the test floor, strapped onto the D-Box. -

Well if Paul did his job as a designer right then all that stuff is set in stone and it's up to the content department to build. :p -

Technical question on that. Do those skid maps have some sort of overall multiplier? If so then it would be relatively easy to implement overall grip changes based on the running order right? For example less grip for first couple of cars on gravel due to road cleaning. Wouldn't be represented visually of course, but would be a nice first step. -

Well it must be obvious to them too that the fatality had nothing to do with the pace/speed of these cars. Hopefully the maximum avarage speed is set a bit lower because of it being a snow rally, otherwise we'll see a lot more cancellations this seasons, or a downgrade on turbo restrictor in 2018. -

I believe only one R4 was build, but more cars in the form in Dakar trim have seen some light. I never really understood if that project had anything to do with the original development of the R4 (I think Colin's brother Alister was behind the Dakar project), but there were some McRae R4 looking 4x4 Dakar buggy's driving around a few years back: http://www.mcrae-enduro.com/4x4.html -

I do find this odd though. Raceroom seems to have the same problem with Audi, having only 1 livery on the GTO and we we've seen that on some DiRT Rally cars as well. But at the same time iRacing and Forza Motorsport (among others) feature that same Audi GTO (and some other cars that give problems here) and you are completely free to paint all over them in those titles. Is this just a case of putting more budget in the licensing (pay more so you are allowed to deviate from factory livery) or is there something else going on? @kick_up
